Is DAP taking on Chinese underworld?

$

Though he is thick skinned and combative, FT Minister, Khalid Samad must privately felt embarassed by Dato Najib's trolling and his inability to troll back despite repetitive attempts. Blogger Husin Lempoyang attributed it to his lack of wit and position as Minister.

Nevertheless, Khalid is still better in gaining public attention than Teresa Kok. Her attempt to create an issue out of the Sungai Buloh Kwasa Land failed. She got Sankara Nair to do pussy-footing and her own bushing of Najib but the attempted 1MDB spin was shadowed by WSJ report of a China bailout that could likely be orchestrated by her party comrade.

Khalid could get the publicity from the massive probe into 74 projects approved in the past by DBKL. He gave a "garang" and no nonsence warning to errant premises owners failing to pay assessment tax

Hope Khalid is able to do so and prove he is a better FT Minister than elder brother, BN's Tan Sri Shahrir Samad. New broom sweep well and he could bag something out of the probe. It is not so much the revelation that the controversial Medan Imbi property raised by DAP since March 2017 is allegedly built illegally on FT Land and Mines Office land,

But, it is about the identity of the mystery owner, which turned out to be fallen Heavenly King, Datok Koo Tee Yam.

Owner identified

The Edge had the story last week:
Medan Imbi building owner identified

Chester Tay/The Edge Financial Daily
January 18, 2019 09:03 am +08

This article first appeared in The Edge Financial Daily, on January 18, 2019.

KUALA LUMPUR: The owner of the controversial building built on two plots of government land in Medan Imbi, Bukit Bintang here has been identified as Willowcrest Management Sdn Bhd, a company linked to businessman Datuk Seri Tee Yam @ Koo Tee Yam.

A search on the Companies Commission Malaysia (SSM) website showed that Willowcrest is 99%-owned by Tee Yam, while the remaining 1% is held by Eco Habitat Sdn Bhd.

The shareholders of Eco Habitat are Tee Yam (90%), with Wong Siaw Puie and Ameera Encee Koo Abdullah owning 5% each.

On Wednesday, Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad questioned how a development order had been issued to two properties — one an office building “which looks like a six-star hotel” and the other a restaurant — in Medan Imbi when the land did not belong to either the company or Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).

This follows an internal investigation by the integrity unit of DBKL, which revealed that both pieces of land measuring 0.14ha  on Lot 568 and Lot 716 belonged to the Federal Territories Land and Mines Office.

The minister was also reported as saying that the owner of the two properties has until the end of the month to come forward.

Khalid had said an option available to the owner is to apply to the government to purchase the land at the current market price and to pay all premiums and development approvals, as well as the fines to be imposed.

An industry observer, however, pointed out that this may set a bad precedent in the future for any company to build properties on government land and just pay a premium and fines.

An Oct 5, 2015 report by The Edge Malaysia weekly, citing a valuer, said that typically land in Imbi are priced between RM2,400 and RM2,500 per sq ft.

In previous years, land transactions in the Bukit Bintang and Kuala Lumpur City Centre areas have been concluded at between RM3,100 and RM3,600 per sq ft. For instance, the German Embassy parcel in Kia Peng was sold for RM3,188 per sq ft (RM259.15 million for 7,552 sq m) to Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd; Tropicana Corp Bhd disposed of eight contiguous parcels in Jalan Bukit Bintang for RM3,280 per sq ft (RM448.44 million for 12,701.7 sq m); Oxley Holdings Ltd bought a parcel in Jalan Ampang for RM3,300 per sq ft (RM446.7 million for 12,575 sq m); and KSK Group Bhd paid RM3,573 per sq ft for a plot in Jalan Conlay (RM568 million for 3.65 [1.48ha] acres).

A visit to the site by The Edge Financial Daily yesterday showed that the office building has six levels, with Willowcrest listed as one of its tenants.

Other tenants include Excellent Epitome Sdn Bhd and Orion Tower Sdn Bhd.

Another property development company linked to Tee Yam is Viva Impian Sdn Bhd, which is developing a mixed-use, integrated development called Viva Impian Cheras. SSM’s data revealed that Viva Impian is 99%-owned by Tee Yam and the rest by Eco Habitat.

According to The Edge Malaysia weekly report on April 10, 2017, Eco Habitat is one of the shareholders of Gabungan Tiasa Sdn Bhd with a 33.33% stake. Gabungan Tiasa is involved in the redevelopment of Plaza Rakyat in Jalan Pudu, Kuala Lumpur.
Koo Tee Yam

Koo Tee Yam made headline when he was arrested under the Emergency Ordinance in March 2004 and received unconditional release in March 2005.

In between, he obtained Habeas Copus order from Federal Court for release on October 19, 2004 but refused to leave anticipating he will be re-arrested. He did emerge from the Simpang Renggam Detention Centre on October 29th 2004 to be bundled off by police and was subsequently released few days later.

The October 2005 The Star feature on Tee Yam fell short of calling him as leader of the Four Heavenly King underworld bosses. He was described as "controversial businessman", investor in entertainment and restaurants, "adviser" to Chinese guilds, "philantropist", and "powerful and influential figure".

As recently as October 2018, Twitter Finance reported Tee Yam was seen in the same table as Anwar Ibrahim at a dinner fund raising for the PD by-election.

Character like Tee Yam is influential to the Chinese community, more so in areas like the Jalan Imbi in the Bukit Bintang area.

Politically, it is an open secret that one of the key factor to win elections for Chinese parties  including DAP is to get the blessing and support of underworld bosses. Lim Guan Eng should not attempt to deny.

DAP vs underworld?

DAP could be driven by the community concerns on encroachment on local interested parties or disturbed a planned signature park for Imbi.

It is an understatement to say the area is now much sought after by developers.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall Councillor Chairman and Malaysian Special Envoy to China, DAP Tan Kok Wai demanded Khalid to not give in and sell the land to the building owner. His likely intention is to see law enforced. Is DAP serious to take on Tee Yam and the Chinese underworld?

Whether there is legitimate reason and prior agreement between Tee Yam and the previous FT Minister, Tengku Datok Adnan Mansor to allow the building on government land or not, Khalid went on to call on the building owner to buy the land or lose it.

Will the words of a DAP Councillor or AMANAH FT Minister carry more weight?

Khalid also gave a month-end deadline to decide or risk MACC moving in to investigate. He must continue to remain "garang" to the underworld boss or get trolled again by cousin Najib.

Tony Pua, LGE and PH leaders showing signs of autism

$

This is not meant to degrade those with autism.

Surely, not to my no-more-little Little Najib that  screamed, "Horror! No sharpener ...!"

WebMD described autism not as a handicap, thus people with autism are not OKU.

To quote the medical website, "Autism is a complex neurobehavioral condition that includes impairments in social interaction and developmental language and communication skills combined with rigid, repetitive behaviors."

More over, "Children with autism have trouble communicating. They have trouble understanding what other people think and feel."

Tony Pua's campaign at the Cameron Highland by-election showed signs he could be autistic.

Prior to that, it was Lim Guan Eng showing similar trait.

His official statement against Pahang government made with an MOF insignia confirmed he has impaired condition.

Some would defend both of them as arrogant or uncouth or "bulldozer"-type of people. How do you then explain their repetitive behaviour to keep using RM1 trillion debt or 1MDB as the only explanation or Dato Najib as the only blame?

It is also natural for those with autism to not realise their own fault.

Guan Eng will never ever admit he is wrong or made mistakes. He accused Najib for government having RM1 trillion debt, but himself racked up more debt and spent more money then Najib's administration.

A Professor from Duke University in the US was puzzled why the new government, which accused the previous government of corrupt, honoured and acknowledged 1MDB debt. Having committed tax payer money, he will neither admit he erred nor acknowledged the Odious Debt Doctrine.

It is a complex neurobehaviourial side of Guan Eng. The reasons are enough to suspect both Tony Pua and Guan Eng are autistic.

DAP Selangor did the right decision to reject Tony.

Austism of Tony Pua

Let's start with Tony Pua.

During his campaign, Tony questioned the integrity of BN candidate, Ramli Md Noor as a high ranking police official.

Astro Awani reported Tony accusing the retired police ACP for being in co-hoot in the 1MDB scandal and with Najib. As a high ranking police officer, he did nothing to expose or investigate Najib. Instead he look up to Najib with high esteem.

Notice the lack of sensitivity and the repetitive behaviour?

Tony explicitly rubbished Ramli in front of his kin folk, in which the Orang Asli there looked up to Ramli with high regards as a high ranking police officer, highly educated, exemplary model and one of their own.

Tony's austistic inability to realise his attempt to give his fellow DAP aka PH candidate a fighting chance could backfire.

Ramli's last position before retirement was Assistant Director in charge of Finance / Banking / Insurance / Cooperative at Bukit Aman's Commercial Crime Investigation.

The coverage of his responsibility is wide. He is no more the level to do investigation. Even if he knows of the 1MDB investigation, does Tony expect a professional lawman do the unprofesssional, unethical and unlawful act of leaking confidential preliminary investigation findings?

Tony cannot expect Ramli to finish investigating in his two years as Assistant Director. Till today, has police completed investigation and finish collating the evidences? What happened to last year's first Ramadhan raid by Amar Singh?

In the meanwhile, Tony insulted police personnel who some may have casted their votes for PH in the last GE!

Tony also insulted the rural voters of Cameron Highlands with the remark that mega projects were cancelled for money to be re-channelled to rural areas. Really?

Why then are social allocations to farmers, fishermen, agriculture projects, rural school allocation and projects, rural road projects for Sarawak interiors, and many many more cancelled, but yet New Era College and private Chinese schools could get government contribution?

Tony lack of sensitivity to other's may have deprived him the senses to understand why he did not make the cut in the top 20 line-up in the DAP Selangor election. Simply, he failed to emphatise with the DAP members and Chinese businessmen.

Tony failed in assisting Guan Eng to formulate policies and strategies for the Ministry of Finance. He is no market wizard as Tun Daim sarcastically called in private.

Autistic LGE abuse his office

Since Tony was talking about his work at the Finance Ministry, then his boss statement below need be questioned:

Menteri Besar of Pahang responded to desribe Guan Eng's statement as "janggal" or in English to mean odd or strange or out of ordinary.

One immediate response on the social media was straight to the point:

It is similar to the EC's election by-law to disallow use of government assets and facilities as done earlier by Azmin Ali, Mat Sabu, Gobind's Deputy and caught red-handed was Tengku Zulfuri, DAP's Deputy Minister for Water, Land and Natural Resources.

It is lack of sensitivity of Guan Eng to what other's think as outright abuse by DAP in their campaign that made him issue such statement.

He may not realised that he is autistically repeating the similar line to blame government's financial constraint to to 1MDB, Najib and Jho Loh.

Najib turned around Guan Eng argument in his FB troll. Extract below:

Good one, Najib.

More of autistic LGE's insensitivity

Prior to that, Guan Eng displayed his lack of sensivity to threaten the Cameron Highland voters. He said if they want development, they should vote the DAP candidate.

It came after the uproar to the outright threat by an Orang Asli PKR Senator:

With the audio and video viraling, the idiot Senator had no shame to try to deny. Then, this Orang Asli politician could likely be autistic.

Other than Guan Eng's insensitivity, and rigidity, he also displayed the autism behaviour to be repetitive with the attack on Pahang government on the same line of inability to bring development:

It is the same political line of the then BN federal government and echoed by Muhyiddin and Fuziah Salleh.

Guan Eng's signs of autism have been for quite a while. Could it have spread from BN to Muhyiddin and then spread to Fuziah and Guan Eng?

Actually, one would have notice that Guan Eng's meant to counter BN's slogan, Tiada Janji, Lihat Sendiri and defend the senior Lim failed critic of Najib's inability to bring development to the Orang Asli.

Lim Kit Siang focused on the Orang Asli means that the ket to winning CH is them.

He visited and campaigned there before the by-election date commenced. DAP also illegally put up posters, flags and banners with non-candidate face before the date.

Its an organisational inability to know what others think and feel.

Najib worsen Guan Eng's autism

"Jabatan Hutan tidak bagi pinjam 4WD." Another good one from Najib in his FB. Ha ha ha ...he was taking potshot at BERSIH too.

However, it was his FB posting below that drove Guan Eng into a frenzy similar to Little Najib's when there was no sharpener to sharpen his drawing pencils:
Saya lihat rata-rata pemimpin PH cuba memberi alasan mengapa bantuan dan projek mesra rakyat perlu dimansuhkan dan dipotong.

"Hutang RM1 trilion.

https://www.facebook.com/najibrazak/posts/10155670548100952

Lebih elok Guan Eng kira sampai tahun 2200.

Hutang RM10 trilion lebih sedap didengar.

Baik.

http://www.bnm.gov.my/index.php?ch=58&pg=255&ac=1&bb=cgo

The frenzy or tantrum among autism is called meltdown. It happens when the person with autism could not get what he or she wanted or people do not understand them. During meltdowns, they are unaware of their action and may accidentally hurt themselves.

It may have been this FB posting that got Guan Eng into meltdown to repeatly attack the finances of the State Government of Pahang like a con artist Evangelical Christian Minister:

It is a pity that he has given up:

Was hoping he responded to Najib's allegation he "jual negara" in Penang.

More autism cases in PH

The autism attribute to be insensitive to others, repetitive and talking in frenzy had been with the senior Lim for quite sometime.

Unfortunately, his critics resorted to racist labeling and name calling him as "Apek".

However, it is not sure whether this statement is due to his autism or senility.

Except for cases of documentation, the Orang Asli is not only citizens, but Bumiputera or Pribumi, whichever one wish to call except the DAP-inspired Orang Asal.

Maybe this DAP Orang Asal has a documentation problem:

You are the government. Just do the damn blueprint and not after winning CH by-election. Nampak sangat Kit Saing tak ikhlas. No sensitivity to others' thinking.

Really, there could be many more autism cases within PH.

Anwar seem to not know what others are thinking and remember. There are lots of interesting comment here but this one by Mohd Raiszudin stands out:
Let us remind him.
DIALOG ANWAR IBRAHIM

You tahu siapa curi Negara punya wang. You pun tau. Dia demam tau. Kemudian ada orang beritahu, “Mahathir, Anwar mungkin jadi Perdana Menteri. Terus dia bangun, tak boleh, kata dia haha. You tau apasal takut? Sebab harta sudah banyak. Harta anak-anak dia berpuluh puluh billion. Tengok kontrak Petronas. Siapa dapat banyak? Kencana Petroleum. Mokhzani Tun Mahathir. Semua dia angkut. Takdak melayu pandai berniagakah? Tak da Cina, Dayak pandai berniagakah? Semua anak dia punyakah?

Itu satu. Kemudian beli itu beer punya company. St Migul Filipina. Saya punya meja takdak. Carlsberg takdak. Tetapi Mahathir punya anak, Mirzan beli..beer punya company.. Aiyoo! Kadawale..Berapa harga? 2900 juta cash..RM 2.9 billion cash! Mana angkut (dapat duit)? Menang loteri tiap hari? Dia menang loteri, every month for 20 years. Kemudian selepas ambil St Miguel ini untung. Beli Esso Malaysia. Kalau tak salah kira-kira RM 1.7 billion. Tukar nama kepada Petron. Semalam, Malaysia Airlines. Siapa dia penasihat petronas? Mahathir.

BAPAK YOU ATAU RAKYAT PUNYA? KALAU RAKYAT PUNYA, HENTIKAN BENDA MENGARUT INI.
The comment below cannot be blamed on Mahathir but Syed Saddiq...

One would have thought it should be Tun that is senile but from the comments, Syed Saddiq could be naive or senile. However, he is too young to be senile thus it is more likely the inability to know what others' think or feel.

Tun does love to repeat things. Political autism perhaps?

Initially, Yeo Bee Yin was impressive in the early part of her handling of Lynas. It later turned out to be disappointing.

And, is this another political autism or as Najib trolled, stupidity?

The toll of governing may have got to them. They will run out of excuses to evade fulfilling election promises. ISMA suggested to form a new government or call for general election.

Manogaran's majority and snap election after Semenyih?

$
0
0

Manogaran has an 8,476 votes majority over Independent Cikgu Salehuddin Osman and 8,524 majority over smart farming advocate, Wong Seng Yee.

However, 8,800 is not enough to overcome BN Ramli Md Noor's 12,038 votes, who won by an increased majority of 3,328 votes for BN.

The former DAP MP for Telok Intan, who once uttered his opposition to the status of Islam as "official" religion of the Federation, wasted his tireless effort to annul MIC's Sivaragh win at GE14.

DAP and PH ran an aggresive campaign at this BN stronghold seat, which was won by BN by slightly more than 500 votes at GE 14.

A win would have strengthened DAP's position within PH and to pull the strings on an exasperated Tun Dr Mahathir, who both DAP and PPBM find each other overbearing.

DAP did not pull any stop, including abusing the position of their nominated EC Chairman, Azhar Harun.

Bias EC, JHEOA

EC announced earlier closing time for polling station with Malay and Orang Asli majority voting district to cite security reasons. They were no early closing time for GE 14 at CH and no communist ambush on the ballot boxes reported.

Azhar closed one eye to the long list of infringement of election rules by PH. He said there was nothing wrong with DAP campaign workers openly giving money to Orang Asli voters under guise of petrol money.

The misuse of government facilities was blatant, especially by Ministers and Orang Asli Department.

Their vehicles could be seen everywhere. JHEOA personnels in PH T-shirts were directly involved to "kidnap" Tok Batins for brainwashing and putting up PH project signboards at the Orang Asli settlements the night before polling.

In the early part of the campaign, a PKR Senator and Lim Guan Eng threatened to the Orang Asli. Lim Kit Siang and DAP lost it with the Orang Asli.

On the last day of campaign, DAP and PH was up to dirty tricks such as falsely accusing Ramli for involvement in Memali with the hope dissuade PAS from voting BN but to no avail.

Nik Abduh's let bygone be bygone was received. PAS willingly shifted sizeable votes from their 3,500 votes at GE14.

There was also infringement on polling day too.

One can argue BN used to do the same but had been taught a bitter lesson. Now, PH is not putting action into the BERSIH words spoken loudly.

EC Chairman has since taken the defensive stance to say he is glad of the greater awareness on election rule in this by-election. Too soon to say before the Semenyih by-election as it will be bitterly fought to stop BN turning around in political fortune.

The CH results showed dirty trick may not pay off.

Blaming on the past does not work anymore.

Blame game and fear factor of BN, Najib and 1MDB by Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng, Tony Pua, Anwar and Mahathir hardly affected Malay and Orang Asli votes significantly.

Mahathir went to the point of calling Najib a bully like a Jew. It was him who let the Israel cricket team in to play in an international competition in KL.

They could try the excuses and blame game again in Semenyih and Rantau to a public angered by drastic budget cut, senseless reallocation, rising prices, and dampened economy.

And continue to cook up more charges with incomplete investigation and without papers.

Chinese votes

While Chinese votes still contributed 82% of to the lesser votes of Manogaran, the statistics did not show the comparison to GE14 statistics and the number of no show.

Lim Kit Siang expressed early concern as he pleaded for outside voters to return.  It is believed Chinese gave illegal bookie 1,000 votes to pick for a BN win.

There were indications of Channel 3, 4 and 5 for young Chinese voters protested.

A former DAP candidate told this blogger this morning that the loss is attributed to the public disenchantment with the economic mess arising from Lim Guan Eng and Tony Pua's amateurish fiscal management.

Manogaran not only made a hattrick loss but his votes reduced from 9,710 votes at GE14 to 8,800 votes.

It answers pro-PH analysis citing the excuse of lower turnout. It is PH side that suffered the lower number.
Manogaran can kiss Cameron Highland and even his political career good bye.

Pemuda UMNO Chief, Dr Asyraf Wajdi saw similar reason and also the strong cooperation with PAS and within BN for the victory.

Hadi saw it as indication of people rejecting PH for not fulfilling their promises.

Bigger turmoil ahead?

It is still premature to assume the CH win is a turnaround for BN without proper survey and study, but an emerging trust deficit against PH is likely.

It could be the start of a politically challenging phase or even a bigger turmoil ahead for fragile PH.

More so, the friction between them is unabated with Mahathir's situation described by sources within PPBM as exasperated. Witnesses observed his voice was nervous at Sungai Koyan.

One analysis in Malay in a WA group summarised the political implication of the result as below:

5. PKR aka Anwar dpt kenakan tekanan terhadap Tun utk lpskan jawatan (Anwar sengaja over terhadap Najib). PKR mungkin sabotaj PPBM di Semenyih utk naikkan Anwar.

Tapi orang Azmin yg kuat di Semenyih, maka blh berlaku pertembungan sesama PKR.

6. Petanda politik kaum India mungkin terkesan akibat silap mainan politik, tindak tanduk Waytha (diam saja utk PRK) dan Seafield.

Snap election?

The PPBM grassroot still believed the plan to get UMNO MPs to jump ship is still in play. It has stopped and both Mahathir and Anwar are at a standstill.

That is not what Mahathir, who is used to being few steps ahead, is comfortable with. Mahathir could not move further in Sabah without annoying Warisan, but is hoping to get Sarawak's GBS support. He need deep pocket but the pocket is in Guan Eng's pant.

In the meanwhile. government is, with Mahathir more concerned to deny Anwar the PM-ship and gaining control than governing. He said at Sungai Koyan that he intend to stay till his death ("kerja sampai mati")

It is heard that something is to happen after Chinese Year. If it does not happen, Anwar and DAP will put more pressure on Mahathir. Latest being call for GLC reform by NGOs and exchanges between Terence Gomez and Tun Daim over patronage.

Dato Hamidah Osman called for Parliament to be dissolved and snap election to give direction to government. ISMA made the same call but cite PM's lost control over cabinet as reason.

Rather than give the government totally to Anwar and DAP, Mahathir could resort to dissolve Parliament. Snap election after Semenyih?

Lost in CH, "MEROYAN" in KL

With gusto, UMNO Acting President, Dato Mohamed Hasan started making claims. More on the report in The Star here.

It is not only premature, but unnecessary words. BN should be thankful and remain humble in victory. The victory was possible with PAS help. Baru satu brader...

Such language could be misconstrued as arrogant. It was arrogance that made UMNO and BN lifelong supporters turned their back against the party. Instead, Mohamed could tone it down and play victim to send the message PH is cruel, oppressive, and unjust.

Heaven sake, do get out of cliche narrative one gets from Bernama, NST and BH during the Mahathir 22 years era

One should read this article by blog Editor Malaysia to know how pathetic NST, Astro Awani and Bernama behaved in facing a loss.

An extract below:

Malay call it "pulangkan paku buah keras" . Dishing back what was dished earlier.

But this is nothing compared to what was being dish back by this pillion rider in this viral video below:

The attached message reads:
Seorang lelaki telah menunaikan janjinya dlm FB kerana jika PH kalah di CH beliau akan menunggang motosikal dari BP sehingga ke Kluang dgn berbogel tanpa seurat benang. Bagi mengelakkan dirinya disamakan pemimpin PH yg kuat kencing beliau tetap menunaikan janjinya tak seperti pemimpin PH berjanji tetapi tidak tunaikan janji.
It's nothing compared to the much awaited delivery on a promise made by a Mahathir fanatic below:

Nothing depicts more the frustration of the PH supporters than commentators in Ummi Hafilda's FB posting.

Read it in here.

There have been many frank views out there which Mustapha Kamil and Kadir Jasin think holding back from MSM will not reach the masses:

Kenapa PH kalah ?

The one below is a frank view of a reporter with a name:
1 UNDI PUN MAJORITI
Wartawan PH👇

8 . BSH hidup yang menurun berbanding BRIM juga menyebabkan kemarahan rakyat jelata , dulu masa jadi pembangkang hampir setiap hari BERJANJI AKAN MENYEDIAKAN SARA HIDUP YANG LEBIH BAIK DARI BRIM, mana perginya , JANGAN NAK BERETORIK DENGAN KES 1MDB SAHAJA, orang dah muak dan menyampah.

9 . Pinjaman tanpa cagaran yang di beri kepada kaum Cina sehingga RM50 ribu oleh BSN pun satu MASALAH BESAR, orang Melayu pula HENDAK PINJAM MELALUI TEKUN PUN KENA CAGARKAN EMAS, mana datang proses sebegini.

10. PH mempunyai Menteri yang RACIST menjadikan rakyat mula hendak menolak PH , ini kerana sikap kurang ajar pemimpin tersebut terhadap BANGSA MELAYU , mereka hanya tahu MENCABAR KEDAULATAN PERLEMBAGAAN NEGARA INI.

Political conspiracy theory on stabbing of Maria Chin's son

FT Minister, Khalid Samad is open to an option for sales of the Kuala Lumpur Land and Mines Department to the owner of the Medan Imbi building. The building owner had put the offer on the table. Khalid did say one of the other options is for the land owner to confiscate the property.

Hopefully DAP's Tan Kok Wai would come to his senses and allow the Minister to do his work. Dealings by DBKL or government in areas such as Bukit Bintang may not follow the norms. It is an area where bureucrasy and even rule of law may not work.

However, a scary incident involving Maria Chin's son raised concern. It could be a case of  bureaucrasy may not find the answer. It is similar to political interference that may have failed justice for the late fireman Muhammd Adib.

On Sunday, after the Cameron Highland's by-election that brought in the first Orang Asli Member of Parliament in history, Maria Chin's 26 year old son was stabbed in a reported botched robbery while jogging at a park.

Surely it would not make sense to link the incident to politics or the result of the by-election. But, why was no money or possession was not taken away by the assailant?

According to Sundaily.com, police was reported to have a positive lead on the case.

Petaling Jaya deputy police chief Supt Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said police investigators found  few whom fit the description of the lone motorcyclist. However, these suspects had not caused physical harm in the past.

The police will need to investigate further the motive of the stabbing that is not robbery as media intend to divert. The fact that it happened after the CH by-election may raised the long shot possibility that it could be political.

Prior to the CH by-election, Bersih 2.0 warned all parties to stay clear of electoral offense.

But Bersih 2.0 defended DAP on the viraled images of DAP volunteer by the name of Vanessa giving "duit minyak" in contradiction to the basis the by-elections was held was the annulled GE 14 results for CH was due to "duit minyak" too.

The judgement clearly mentioned payments made to volunteers are considered as electoral bribe.

Bersih 2.0 warned Ministers holding events prior to the by-election was principally wrong, but were not sufficiently vocal on Ministers using government assets to campaign.

Nothing strong was heard from Bersih 2.0 of the direct involvement of the Orang Asli Department in PH campaign to Tok Batins and threats by a PKR Senator except call for the position of Tok Batin be elected and not appointed which is to be consistent with their call for local election. .

It seemed double standard by Bersih 2.0 to seek explanation from Pahang MB for allegation of threat. However, it could not be the reason for stabbing on Maria Chin's son. It is not UMNO to do so, especially on something trivial as election by-laws.

Such is the democratic obsession of the wife of communist suspect husband, Yunos.

Maria Chin was involved with Siti Kassim in the lawsuit by the Federal government against Kelantan government on behalf of the Orang Asli Temiar tribe.

While the timing was politicise to help DAP cause at CH, it would not be a surprise that this human rights activist is glad Orang Asli found their way into Parliament and even may have assisted in a whispering campaign for retired policeman Ramli Md Nor.

If she had done so, it would not have been a police set-up to threaten Maria Chin through the son. This is despite Pakatan Harapan fanatics could do anything for politics even concocting slander against the police.

Maria Chin may have annoyed the police. She hailed plan to enact, amend and repeal 113 laws, which include abolishing death penalty and preventive laws they dubbed as draconian such as POTA, SOSMA, Sedition act, etc. She lambasted the government for retaining POTA and SOSMA.

Still, it is unlikely for police to do such a thing on the son and pre-empt a rumour that ISA might be reinstated in exchange for the abolishment of Sedition Act.

Police and Maria Chin is in negotiation for her lawsuit for a past detention under SOSMA.

It cannot be police and it is not likely UMNO or BN as they won handsomely at the CH by-election.  Thus one possibility is that it is a politically motivated warning. Winning CH was strategically important for DAP and they wanted to win badly.

One political conspirist suspected Maria Chin's son was stabbed for her support for the first Orang Asli to enter Parliament. What would be the proof?

Lets do an Anwar Ibrahim when he blamed Dato Najib for the death of Altantunya murder. Call on police to proof Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng and Manogaran conspired to teach Maria Chin a lesson. :)

Anyway, thank Allah that her son is out of danger. Politics is for the good of nation and people thus no wrong should be done to put things right. Police must act without fear or favour should politics be the motive.

Empress Dowager

According to website Definitions, "Empress Dowager was the title given to the mother of a Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Vietnamese Emperor. The title was also given occasionally to another woman of the same generation, while a woman from the previous generation was sometimes given the title of Grand Empress Dowager."

"Numerous Empress Dowagers held Regency during the reign of an underage Emperor. Many of the most prominent Empress Dowagers also extended their control for long periods after the Emperor was old enough to govern. This was a source of political turmoil according to the traditional view of Chinese history."

Jung Chang's book entitled Empress Dowager Cixi caught the attention of the western media with her interpretation on the history of Cixi. In a review in UK's Guardian, Isabel Hilton wrote below:
This approving biography advances a vigorous defence of a woman whom history has often demonised as a venal reactionary: one who murdered without a second thought to protect her own interests, who squandered the national treasury on her own pleasures and who set back reform in China to preserve herself. History often has trouble giving powerful women their due and correctives are in order, but Chang's admiration for her subject can sometimes seem a little unqualified: the empress dowager in these pages was an enlightened, even caring ruler who drove through a modernisation programme. Had she lived just a little longer, China might have become a stable constitutional monarchy. As it is, Chinese citizens still cannot vote.
It was an interesting angle from a woman perspective to correct past wrong. However, Isabel came  off rather sceptical and asked whether it was justified:
Although most of Cixi's previous biographers have demonised her, others have been more measured. This is a spirited, if partisan contribution. Her role in crushing the reforms of 1898 and her support of the Boxer rebellion remain her most controversial actions. Did the reformers' plot against her excuse the dismantling of reforms that she was to borrow wholesale just a few years later? Jung Chang praises these as proof of Cixi's progressive character; others have judged them as too little too late, grudging concessions that failed to save the rule of the Manchu – outnumbered 100 to one by their Chinese subjects.
Taking an extract from South China Morning Post, Empress Dowager Cixi background was described:
Although it has been 109 years (today) since the death of the Empress Dowager Cixi – also known as the “dragon lady” and the “old master Buddha” – who effectively ruled China during the late Qing dynasty (1644-1911) for nearly five decades, she still divides public opinion.

Born on November 29, 1835, she was chosen as a concubine for the Emperor Xianfeng when she was a young girl. She gave birth to the emperor’s son – the future Emperor Tongzhi – in 1856 and went on to live an extravagant and privileged life in the imperial court without concerning herself with the hardships facing ordinary people.
Read on here for a description of the life of power behind the Emperor Tongzhi and Emperor Guang Zu or in the movie, The Last Emperor, Puyi.

Emperor Xianfeng died in 1861 and his only male heir was 5-year old Tongzhi. Cixi became Empress Dowager and regent ruler till her son turned 17. However, Tongzhi died at age 19 and was replaced by her three-year old nephew Guangxu requiring her to return to the regency.

If a pictures is worth a thousand words, face features revealed natural tendencies hidden behind words and gestures of persons.

Cixi had the physiognomic features to support her psychological tendency. She had rectangular shaped face which denotes highly motivated, systematic, diligent and high levels of discipline.

Hunterswriting.com claimed such face come across as slightly dominating and ambitious. They are intelligent, analytical, hardworking and they possess self-control. They are strong and active. All the qualities of a natural leader.

Her lower thick lip indicates "strong character that is independent and self reliant. A tendency to be motivated and values physical gratification over emotional love". There was a slightly crooked feature in her lips which indicate tendency to be "scheming and wily".

The chin stands for the level of will power, stubbornness and tenacity. The more prominent, the more stubborn and stronger sex drive.

A decade earlier, Smithsonian's Amanda Fiegl wrote on the varying versions written by several other authors on the Empress Dowager. She concluded:
Through Seagrave's lens, the historical image of Cixi takes on a softer, sadder aura than the monster of Backhouse's creation. She was certainly a bright, ambitious woman, but her life was anything but a fairy tale.

"One might wish for her sake that her life had been just such a burlesque filled with Florentine intrigues and Viennese frivolity, because the truth is melancholy…Under those layers of historical graffiti was a spirited and beautiful young woman trapped in a losing proposition: …A figurehead empress who lost three emperors to conspiracy; a frightened matriarch whose reputation was destroyed as she presided over the decline of a bankrupt dynasty," he writes.
Amanda made reference to New York Times's Jane Perlez. An extract reads:
A Chinese historian, Jung Chang, began the re-evaluation of Cixi with her biography, “Empress Dowager Cixi.” Ms. Chang, who lives in exile, argues the empress brought medieval China into the modern age, calling her an “amazing stateswoman.”

But Ms. Chang’s damn-the-man portrait of Cixi is a tad too generous even for some sympathizers. How could the empress dowager have ushered in groundbreaking innovation when much of her career was devoted to her drive to preserve the imperial family that crumbled three years after her death?
History comes in cycles.

The life of Cixi is a good lesson for other and aspiring Emperor Dowagers, especially those with similar physiognomy, of what could come in the distance ahead. Even squirrels occasionally falls to the ground.

LGE-Dr Dzul-Great Eastern's MySalam hoax duped Mahathir

MyKMU warned the danger of the recently launched MySalam scheme.

While it looks good in theory, in which the Minister Dr Dzulkifly Ahmad is good at, but the practicality side only need to look at the failure of ObamaCare. Though he erred about Zulkifly's academic background, even satire blogger, Husin Lempoyang could notice that.

Perhaps the government side may not find pro-opposition portal MyKMU as credible. Then they may need to read what staunch pro-DAP Leslie Lau's writer, Boo-Su Lyn wrote in Malay Mail Online:

Boo-Su Lyn is as pro-PH and pro-DAP as one can get. She even questioned Islam as official religion which is DAP's spin version to constitutionally defined status as status of religion of the federation.

She wrote:

When Putrajaya Thinks It Knows All About Health Care

Boo Su-Lyn/Malay Mail

The government just launched two huge health care schemes for the poor: a RM2 billion health insurance funded by an insurance company and a RM100 million health screening programme.

But the mySalam critical illness insurance policy and Peka B40 health screening scheme have already encountered controversy as key stakeholders like patients, doctors, and pharmacists don’t seem to know how the programmes work, even as they are targeted for roll-out in just a month or two.

The Ministry of Health’s (MOH) Peka B40 has gotten off to a rocky start. General practitioners refuse to provide health screenings under the scheme because they find the government’s payment too low, especially since they are expected to recruit patients themselves.

The newly set up government-linked corporation (GLC) under MOH called ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd, headed by Datuk Ab Latiff Abu Bakar, to run Peka B40 does not even have a company website. How much of the RM100 million initial fund went into setting up this GLC? Who else is on the board?

The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) said they were not consulted about the Ministry of Finance (MOF) using Great Eastern Takaful Berhad’s RM2 billion contribution to pay back to Great Eastern annual premiums of RM112 per individual (at cost without profit) for 3.69 million people aged 18 to 55 from the bottom 40 per cent (B40) group for five years.

So essentially, Great Eastern isn’t really contributing anything since MOF will be paying it premiums regularly for the next five years. The insurance company will only fork out money when an insured person makes a claim for the one-off RM8,000 lump sum payout, as well as up to RM700 annually for maximum hospitalisation of 14 days.

According to MOF, the contribution was made in exchange for not having to divest 30 per cent of its Malaysian business in compliance with Bank Negara rules that stipulated a 70 per cent cap on foreign ownership of local insurance firms.

How is Great Eastern benefiting from this deal? Did it gain almost 3.7 million customers in one swoop? Even if only 10 per cent of them continue to pay premiums on their own from the sixth year onwards (the government hasn’t said what will happen after five years), that is still a whopping 370,000 customers. Were other insurance companies aware of this before Great Eastern was chosen for this magnanimous project?

Then comes the nitty gritty – how exactly will Great Eastern approve (or reject) claims?

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said mySalam coverage began on January 1 and eligible recipients can start making claims from March 1. Payment will be credited to one’s bank account once claims are approved.

Does this mean that specific mySalam recipients have already been identified, with their policies beginning on January 1? How did MOF select them since Lim insists that mySalam only applies to “ treatment at public hospitals”.

Did MOH hospitals and university hospitals give MOF data since last year on who their B40 patients (or specifically, those who get the Bantuan Sara Hidup aid) are? If yes, did doctors and hospitals first seek permission from their patients before releasing their information to another agency?

It is unclear what Lim means he says the RM8,000 payout is only meant for B40 patients who seek treatment at public hospitals. One may do diagnostic tests at a private facility to confirm an illness before going to a public hospital for treatment, or doctors at a public facility may prescribe a patient medicine that can only be bought from a private supplier. And if the RM8,000 lump sum benefit is banked in immediately to a patient upon diagnosis of an illness, how is MOF going to check if the patient uses the money at a public or private hospital?

If the mySalam policy began on January 1, do the insured know their critical illness benefits, the 36 illnesses covered, and more importantly, the exclusions in the policy?

According to my Prudential critical illness policy (I confess I only looked at the policy document proper when I started reporting on this issue), which provides a lump sum benefit of RM100,000 upon diagnosis of a critical illness, I will not be paid if my illness “arises directly or indirectly from pre-existing illnesses.”

My critical illness benefit is also not paid for “symptoms of illness that occur prior to or within 30 days after the policy has commenced, except for cancer, heart attack and coronary artery by-pass surgery and serious coronary artery disease in which a 60-day waiting period applies.”

If similar exclusions exist in mySalam, do the B40 know that their claims will be rejected if they started getting sick since November or December, or if they currently suffer any of the 36 critical illnesses?

It is also important to note that the lump sum benefit will only be paid upon diagnosis of an illness, which means that you must fork out your own money to pay for the tests to diagnose that disease.

What if the B40 want to do diagnostic tests at a private centre, especially cancer patients who do not have the luxury of time, before heading to a public hospital for treatment? A lung cancer patient told me that it takes six months after first diagnosis to see a specialist at a public facility.

I recently went to a private health care facility to get a painful knee checked out since it had been hurting for five weeks and I didn’t want to wait months more at a public hospital. The doctor recommended an MRI and X-ray, which cost me over RM2,000!

How will the B40 pay for diagnostic tests at private centres? Doctors and patients have also said that RM8,000 is not enough to cover cancer treatments even at public hospitals.

Yet, when confronted with questions, the finance minister got defensive and said: “How can you not support something that would help the poor?”

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. The poor may inadvertently end up being victimised by the mySalam scheme if it is not well thought out and implemented properly, especially if the government thinks that it knows it all and doesn’t bother consulting stakeholders like patients, doctors and pharmacists.

Why isn’t MOH running mySalam?

That brings me to my next point – why is MOF in charge of running a massive health insurance scheme and not MOH?

Even if MOF was the one that negotiated the deal with Great Eastern, it still could have passed mySalam to MOH to manage since, well, MOF doesn’t have doctors or medical professionals. Better still, the government could have set up an independent agency (separate from MOH and MOF) and appointed health care professionals to run mySalam.

MOH should not be regulator and provider simultaneously. In the United Kingdom, NHS provides health care, but the Care Quality Commission acts as an independent regulator.  There is also a separate independent body –NICE– that decides which drugs should be on the NHS. Unfortunately, in Malaysia, the MOH performs all three functions.

MOH is ultimately responsible for Malaysia’s health outcomes. The government surely cannot expect MOF to do MOH’s job in protecting patients, simply because the former is not qualified to do so.

Patients whose treatments are inadvertently disrupted under mySalam are MOH’s responsibility. Patients who lose coverage because of an insurance company’s picky procedures are MOH’s responsibility. Patients who face longer wait times and unavailability of drugs because of increased congestion at public hospitals are MOH’s responsibility.

Most importantly, it is MOH’s responsibility to repair an ailing health care system for generations to come, instead of relying on a quick-fix for five years.

MySalam was launched by Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir few days ago. NST reported:

Gov't launches mySalam B40 insurance scheme, despite debt constraints

By NST - January 24, 2019 @ 11:55am

Despite being saddled with massive inherited debt, the government will continue to roll out initiatives to help the people, especially those in the low-income group, or the B40.

This was the assurance given by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who launched the national B40 protection scheme known as “mySalam”, today.

“Although we inherited financial constraints (from the past government), it will not prevent the government from introducing people-friendly programmes such as the mySalam scheme.

“(The government) may seem to be cautious in executing such programmes, but we will make sure such efforts will reach the target groups.

“And, we will also go all out to generate funds, via innovative and alternative measures, to ease the people’s burden,” he said.

Also present were Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng and Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.

Dr Mahathir was also upbeat about mySalam’s substantial seed fund of RM2 billion provided by Great Eastern Insurance and Takaful – money which will benefit 3.69 million people aged between 18 and 55 in the B40 group.

Read on here.
Blinded by the RM2 billion pledge, thus easily duped. Or Mahathir just enjoys bluffing the public?

Anyway, bab menipu involving MOF mesti Tony Pua punya kerja. He thinks he is too clever for the rest of Malaysia to spot. Dump his Oxford's PPE degree. He is just purely PP ... political propagandist.

Chemotheraphy on TH by Zukri and Yati

Those with family member suffering from cancer should be familiar with chemotheraphy. It is the use of drugs for treatment meant to kill cancer cell.

The side effect of chemotheraphy is that it also damage other healthy cells. In Malaysia, doctor tend to focus on drug treatment without complimenting it with diet. Often, it speed the path to death.

The turnaround modus operandi by new CEO of Lembaga Tabung Haji, Dato Zukri Samat is equivalent to doing a chemo on Tabung Haji.

In the mid-December posting, "Tabung Haji: Empress Dowager or Special "Perompak" Vehicle?", sources told this blog that Zukri has a tendency to apply the wrong experience from his days at Danaharta in his turnaround of Bank Islam.

He is doing the same at Tabung Haji.

It is only expected of Tabung Haji to face financial difficulties due to the decline of the stock market and oil palm prices. The Fund has large exposure in plantation, which in the past is considered a safe and conservative investment.

It is possible, and it is still subject to investigation, that the Tabung Haji's tight process in making investment may have leakages.

However, Zukri and the Empress Dowagers worsen situation with their suspected behind-the-scene manipulations.

In cahoot with a Datin Wan Norhiyati Wan Ibrahim, or usually addressed as Yati by the media community, from the PR agency, WHM Networks Sdn Bhd, they are consciously destroying the good name of Tabung Haji, locally and internationally.

That is no way to turnaround an internationally respected Malaysian Islamic institution. This is not Selamatkan Malaysia but menjahanamkan (destroying) one institution after another.

Wicked turnaround game

At Tabung Haji, Zukri is applying the same wicked turnaround game done at Bank Islam where he indiscriminately wrote off loans by imposing extraneously stringent new conditions to turn loans bad and trigger huge losses to the bank.

But, it was only a typical corporate playbook to blame on the previous management.

It was the same manner Anwar did as Minister of Finance to worsen the economic decline during the currency crisis in late 1990s to serve his political appetite to ouster Tun Dr Mahathir.

Bank Islam suffered for many years, staff retrenched, and senior and middle management forced to resign or harrassed by police reports and stress of getting investigated by police.

For that, Zukri was awarded Islamic Banker of the Year and earned the reputation as a corporate turnaround expert for Islamic institution.

It was bad loans at Bank Islam and unrealised portfolio losses and allegation of negative net liability of the fund at Tabung Haji. With the transfer of RM19.3 billion asset from Tabung Haji to Ministry of Finance's Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), Zukri and the gang actions are already detrimental to an important Islamic economic institution and the general Malaysian Muslim economy at large.

Already staff and members of the Tabung Haji management are intentionally made redundant. A matter of time, the same purge at Bank Islam will happen at Tabung Haji and their livelihood affected by Zukri's irresponsible actions.

Actually, Zukri does not deserve to be called turnaround expert. In Malaysia, so-called experts hardly do operational turnaround but merely financial manipulation and window washing corporate restructuring.

Despite the magic trick of SPV, a low hibah of about 2% will be announced in a few weeks time. It will not be a shock should there be a mini "run on the bank". Yati will try her very best to paint a glowing future of Tabung Haji. That is the way she earn her living.

The reality, which Yati may not able able to gauge for being high up there of BN's landslide win at Cameron Highland, is that rakyat is losing confidence with the PH government. There is the likelihood that the announcement will be politicise to blame the previous management and previous government.

They should do so. Tabung Haji depositors realised that current management is helping corporate predators steal their assets. It is them that is the guilty one for announcing false hibah using SPV as vehicle for financial manipulation.

From a mini, it could turn major with depositers keeping bare minimal just to qualify for their Haj.

Yati's nasty PR

Yati conducting a workshop

There are reasons to believe that Yati, the PR hired by Zukri, leaked information to Singapore's Straits Times on Yayasan Tabung Haji and sale of PT TH Indo Plantation that was later made into a police report.

It is easy to suspect because Zukri always relied on Yati for PR work in his past so-called turnaround effort and definitely the present.

If no insider leak, there is no way such information would reach Straits Times just days before the media blitz on the police reports made by Tabung Haji.

It is suspected that Yati was also behind the leak to The Edge on the SPV plan before it was later announced by Minister in charge, Mujahid Yusof. The details was close to the blueprint!

This is all simple textbook PR leak game to prepare the ground before the more stunning event to follow. It helps to boost the impact of the media blitz.

This is not the first time Zukri, the Empress Dowagers, and Yati are suspected of doing on their targeted victims. At Bank Islam, they did the same. With the same trend of actions, it begs the question: Do they have a crooked cop at Commercial Crime on their payroll to collaborate?

On the first two police reports, reliable sources claimed police has yet to make any investigations. That is more than a month already, thus raising the possibility that it was merely a show or media drama put up by Yati.

It is a drama to justify DAP-controlled SPV to "steal" RM19.3 billion worth of assets belonging to the millions of Tabung Haji depositers. From revelation to report, followed by the transfer of assets, it was done swiftly within less than a month.

Initially, leak reports claimed it will be shares that has significant losses that will be transferred.

It turned out only the good investments of LTH was taken out.

Talk on the streets, not quite Wall Street, certain corporate players are eyeing block of shares belonging to Tabung Haji to bottom fish an acquisition or be vehicle to undertake contracts cancelled by PH government.

SPV is truly a vehicle to merompak (rob). A soon as the dust settle, wait for the announced sales of shares by the SPV.

If the first two reports may yet be investigated by police, the raid by MACC on COO Dato Adi Azuan based on MACC report made against him turned out nothing.

A first hand informer said Adi paid the contractor for his house interior decoration with his own money and all the documentations are in order and properly verified.

If this was a typical Zukri fix up job, it failed miserably like failed attempts on Bank Islam staff made in the past.

Who is related to PWC Chairman?

Zukri, Empress Dowagers and Yati had just executed the third police report on alleged misrepresentation of the FY2017 accounts to substantiate their claim the hibah paid out for that year was illegal due to the Fund's total asset being below total liability.

The mid-December posting already delved into the matter and explained they applied commercial accounting standards on statutory body accounts.

Their allegation was based on a PWC report. Although the report referred to an Ernst and Young opinion that verified the asset level of Tabung Haji Fund as higher than its liabilities, Zukri and Empress Dowager may have insisted on and influenced the Tabung Haji's Board of Directors otherwise.

It is to justify the police report and put their playbook into motion.

However, there are reason to question the PWC report as there are sources suspecting collusion.

Apparently, the PWC Executive Chairman, Dato Ahmad Faiz Azmi may be related either direct family ties or by marriage to someone involved in the conspiracy against Tabung Haji.

The conspiracy involved Bank Negara Malaysia too.

It need to be confirmed but PWC role could be a conflict of interest. And, hiring PWC could be misconstrued as related party transaction.

Guilty by media blitz

Former Tabung Haji CEO, Dato Johan Abdullah with Zukri following his resignation as CEO of Bank Islam in 2015

Nevertheless, the manner Zukri and Yati is doing their PR work by unethically leaking inside information to international media  has to be questioned.

Normally, a PR agency would try to mitigate the fallout of such negative development.

Instead, Yati is part of the effort to insidiously tarnish and jeopardise Tabung Haji's name. She has damaged the reputation of Tabung Haji before court judged any of Tabung Haji's previous member of management with any wrongdoing.

By playing up the police reports made in the media, she is intentionally creating the perception that the previous management and the institution Tabung Haji as guilty before any investigation done and court convened to hear any case that could be brought by police.

It smacks of slander and revenge.

Their actions will certainly have impact on Tabung Haji's business operations. The Fund has a major stake in Bank Islam and it could certainly ruined the Bank's credit standing and operations. In banking and investment, name could be everything.

Perhaps, it is intended to limit Tabung Haji's capacity and capability in undertaking investment and business operation themselves. The function could be planned to be outsourced to friendly Investment Bankers, and Fund Managers. A certain Advisory Service company could structure and market Sukuk Bond issue for Tabung Haji. It would be for a fee, definitely.

It serves a long held intention of Tan Sri Zeti to reduce Tabung Haji to a deposit taking company with a Haj management operations.

And, it could be something DAP had wanted to do for decades i.e. weaken the strength of an Islamic institution in the economy.

Maybe a police report should be made on Zukri and Yati for police to investigate them. There are penal code offenses done.

BERSIH cowed by the stabbing of Maria Chin's son

$

0

On Thursday, January 31st, BERSIH called for a press conference.

They claimed Cameron Highland by-election has the highest number of electoral offenses commited compared to other by-elections after GE14 and BN committed more offenses than DAP.

Critics would accused BERSIH as bias and leaning towards DAP or PH. With the 5 series of BERSIH demonstration since 2009, that goes without saying.

But BERSIH usually substantiate their claims or allegations and not by downplaying the number of offenses committed by the DAP and PH campaigners.

The suspicion is BERSIH felt threatened by the stabbing of Maria China's son thus lie for DAP or risk their own safety.

It reinforces the political conspiracy theory that Maria's son was stabbed because she supported the native candidate.

Underworld influence backing DAP politicians is an open secret.

Behind any loud or rumbunctious DAP parliamentarian or state assemblymen, Chinese or Indians, there is the likelihood of being gang leader or backed by underworld.

To the underworld, they judge Maria Chin as traitor for supporting Ramli Md Noor.

That dark world has only one way to deal with traitors. If it is not the person, the unguarded children could face retribution.

UMNO-PAS racist, DAP not?

The more laughable allegation from BERSIH would be the one UMNO and PAS are involved in racist campaigning.

That could be easily debunk. How would BERSIH explain for this Chinese written pamphlet distributed to the Tanah Rata Chinese?

Blogger Cucu Tok Selampir raised issue with the Chinese written pamhplet meant for Chinese voters in which many many promises were made on Chinese education.

For that matter, why was DAP playing up the death of Teoh Beng Hock if not to stir up racial sentiment?

One can see DAP silenced on the eath of Adib and even defend Waythamoorthy. Simply, it is because of racial political interest. If it happenned to a non-Malay, they would be up in arms with the Inquest.

Attack on PAS

Then, why did BERSIH raised the issue of racial campaigning and DAP suddenly became sympathetic of UMNO to remind them of the danger of PAS?

BERSIH accusation is to prepare the ground for their future political propaganda in the light of strength the coalition of UMNO and PAS could produce.

UMNO and PAS lost many seats during GE14 because each were splitting the others on the Malay Muslim seats in Semenanjung.

According to Asyraff Wajidi, an UMNO-PAS coalition could turn 29 PH-held Parliamentary seats at the next GE15 election, at least on the Semenanjung side.

The racial composition at the next Waterloo for PH and PPBM at Semenyih by-election may not be so favourable to PH.

PPBM won the seat during GE 14 with 23,428 votes. While, BN and PAS received 14,464.and 6,966 votes, respectively. PSM received 1,293.

Siti Nurhaliza for Semenyih?

It would certainly be a tight race for this PKR and Azmin faction stronghold. I

If PPBM wants to win, they could consider putting up a PPBM staunch supporter, Dato Siti Nurhaliza, as suggested by one blogger.

An "exemplary" candidate for Semenyih should be VP Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman.

He is synonymous with Semenyih. as he owns large tracts of land worth millions in Semenyih. To the point, a village road is named after him.

Much as Tun Dr Mahathir expressed confidence to win Semenyih, he may not risk any of his party heavyweight and put up a macai status candidate.

Declining popularity

BossKu, or more appropriate KelingKu,  realised he is sliding in popularity.

He felt threatened by Najib that he got his boy - a PPBM member on Langkawi Council, to make police report against Najib's visit

Ambiga has warned PH on the threat of Najib's walkabout. Dato Abdul Kadir Jasin and Tun Daim gave a red alert warning that PH stand to lose in the next GE15.

Mahathir realised the risk voters will punish PH for their poor performance on the economy. However, he chose the political narrative to call UMNO-PAS coalition as cheating or meant as racial bullying.

Are there not non-Malay working with UMNO and PAS?

Astute observers agree there were cheating or electoral offenses at Cameron Highland, but they would not agree to the accusation BN committed 14 out of the 23 offenses alleged by BERSIH.

Reading purely from pro-BN blogs, and social media covering the by-election, the list of proven offenses by DAP and federal government agencies exceeded 15.

Pemuda UMNO Chief, Dato' Dr Asyraff Wajidi himself could mentioned some 12 electoral offenses by DAP campagners in his Facebook HERE.

If BERSIH are afraid, then spend money to hire bodyguards for Maria Chin, Ambiga, Thomas Fann and the vocal and rumbunctious ones among BERSIH activists.

Quite sure, the Israel-backing US are willing to foot the bill for them. If not, submit themselves to DAP-linked underworld and gangsters.

Pay pro bono get monkeyed

There is also the possibility BERSIH statement was a diversion to save face Attorney General, Tommy Thomas.

He put together a Tribunal to do an internal investigation on former members of EC.

BERSIH defended Tommy's narrative to seek punishment on former EC members for alleged electoral offenses. Unfortunately, it is not working either for BERSIH.

Tommy was made a fool by his fellow Bar Council activists. He is accused as being unethical.

His comments is disrespectful of ex-EC members. And, there is a call on him to resign in the light of lawsuits from the six affected EC former members.

Next time, do not expect people to do extensive "academic" legal work on internal enquiry for political mileage on pro bono.

You pay peanuts you get monkey. You insist on free work, you get monkeyed. Peruvalen was doing it for free!

Azmin appointed DPM after CNY?

$
0
0

There is a controversy going on in Kelantan.

For many reasons, PAN is against the appointment of Dato Seri Azmin as Chairman of a Federal Government established commitee for Kelantan, abbreviated as MTNg Kelantan.

It is either PAN is not reading Mahathir's move or they are DAP's proxy to block the rise of Azmin.

As Economic Minister, Azmin was given many important tasks by Mahathir, possibly the establishment of another NEAC.

DAP blocked Mahathir from holding a Ministry and almost all agencies under PM Dept moved. Azmin became his conduit.

And, it does not stop there. It is believed that Azmin is depended upon to ensure a PPBM win at Semenyih.

Rumours among close circle is that Mahathir will be appointing Azmin as Deputy Prime Minister after the Chinese New Year holidays.

It should answer a question from a friend and PPBM member on the fate of Anwar Ibrahim.

Contrary to wishful thinking of some Anwar's diehards, Mahathir will not keep his promise.

Anwar is one of two persons which Mahathir effectively been saying, "over my dead" any of them will be Prime Minister.

If Mahathir is already dead, he will rise from his grave and do roadshow around Malaysia to spook Anwar from being made PM.

Boboi can't lead, Anwar procrastinate

The formula is not known but Mahathir will not likely put Boboi as successor.

The former PMO boys may not agree, but Mahathir had once confided in private that Mukhriz is a weak leader.

Mukhriz is too much a Mama's boy - dipimpin, bukan memimpin (being led, then lead). Can't even get his wife to play role as MB's wife.

This blog has been endlessly saying for years that Mahathir's choice will be Azmin. If god permit, Mahathir will make his move soon.

Reggie Jessie Rithauddin claimed he has confided to someone that he may not last another year. It is only expected that he do something drastic. He will act at a time Anwar is procrastinating.

Anwar have been meeting friends, supporters, school buddies, fellow activists etc. to garner support, but he is not telling them the truth.

He claimed to have worked out the deal and arrangement with Mahathir for the transition of power.

While Anwar is gathering forces, Mahathir will do a blietzkrig before Reggie's hypothesis of a Barisan Baru Nasional (BBN) or this blog's mentioned Gabungan Perpaduan Nasional Malaysia (GPNM) were to be realised.

Mahathir do not care much for rules and convention. To quote one of his son, "When he wants something, he goes for it all the way". That is not a political genius but the unexpected move similar to a criminal.

It does not make any difference to Mahathir as to how Azmin would be taken to the top. Whether he and his followers leave PKR or join PPBM or form a new party, he should know what to do when he in position.

Azmin to remain

Apparently, this blog got wind that Azmin decided to stay put in PKR. It is more "economical" than doing a start-up.

More so, his team dominated PKR's VPs and MPP members. The appointment of Rafizi as VP is insignificant as he is no match for Azmin and Mahathir.

So, what is to happen to Anwar?

As written before in this blog, Anwar could be fixed up again. This time it is not sodomy III, but likely a trust fund issue. With a plan to put Anwar out of the way. it seemed logical to appoint Azmin as DPM.

The friend offered a table of the theoretical number of seats for Mahathir-Azmin faction:

It was his basis to think Anwar days are numbered and Azmin would be next PM-in-waiting.

Unfortunately, it is an old estimate.

There have been many developments since Ku Nan was charged for a measly RM3 million corruption and Hishamuddin was told off, "Kau ni tak habis-habis mementingkan diri engkau saja, Hisham!"

PPBM supporters still think the lompat game is still on, but UMNO insiders confidently say it is off.

The claimed team A number among the UMNO MPs is not 37 but left with only the stranded 6 with the 3 that joined PPBM would be paying up their nose.

A few perhaps, but all 11 Amanah MPs may not take the risk to side with wobbly walking Mahathir.

East Malaysian seats

Do not be too sure Warisan is in the bag. Any unfavourable move by PPBM and Warisan could withdraw their support.

If PPBM take in any former Sabah UMNO leaders, so what of Shafie Apdal's Kedah father-in-law, Dato Shuib Lazim who is a close friend of Daim.

He has another father-in-law from Perak.

Sabahan is more concern today with their future than federal politics. It is a matter of time they will be as vocal as the Sarawakians on their MA63 demands.

GPS could take a realistic position but it is too optimistic to assume all 19 to support Team A. They need convincing.

What do Mahathir has to offer them other than threats such as opening PPB branch in Bintulu or allowed Sawarak Report to continue their attack on Pehin Taib Mahmud?

Will Sarawakians trust him to offer a settlement to MA63? Will they see any of his promise as just another typical broken promises of Mahathir?

Thus far, Mahathir has not commented of Abang Jo's announcement that Sarawak government would tax Petronas in accordance to a schedule in the Federal constitution.

Orang Malaya, even lawyers, by-pass the Schedule at the end in their reading of the Constitution.

Is Mahathir's silence an approval? Nah...

Then there is the question of the number of PPBM seats held by Muhyiddin's faction. The public think he is sickly with a terminal disease but his chemotheraphy treatment is complimented with dietary plan.

And, Muhyiddin still have ambition and had enough of being by-passed. His silence have meanings.

However, this UMNO totok will not return to a Najib-dominated UMNO.

However, Mat Hasan is indebted to him for shielding him from the political onslaught of Tan Sri Isa Samad and arwah Sahak Seremban in his first term as MB of Negeri Sembilan.

Which way DAP?

Mahathir can deny he is a DAP puppet, but it was him that said DAP called the shot. The important question in this political exercise of his is: will DAP support Mahathir or Anwar?

Politically, Anwar is weakening, waning in influence, and may not be a good vehicle for DAP to ride. But, DAP has rejected Azmin for Selangor MB post before.

Another point for DAP to favour Anwar is that he is in a position to make concessions to various agenda of DAP.

They are realistic to realise the power is not in the position held. More so, DAP will be seen as abiding to a promise and seen to maintain to the course of reform.

The one hurdle for Mahathir would be whether Anwar's lawyers - Tommy Thomas, Gopal Sri Ram, and Sulaiman Abdullah, who are prosecutors for government, will play ball. Lets not kid ourself to deny they are not aligned to DAP.

Sources claimed police investigation is completed and forget about IPCMC should Anwar not be charged. Police expect the case to see daylight in court.

A political war could breakout after CNY ....

In the meanwhile, take a rest from politics. Maybe there will be a new DPM after the Chinese New Year celebration and maybe not. Enjoy the holidays and the time with families.

Wishing all Chinese ...

... and for those going out of town, drive safely and carefully.

Empress Dowager goes to Audit Dept

$

0

Let's put on hold Anwar's accusation of this blog as spinning, Tun Dr Mahathir accusing of fake news, and Wan Azizah reaction to ask PM.

It's not spinning or fake news, but analysis from gathering of information from news and hearing from the ground. Main source was PPBM people!

Now, this is another ground information of Empress Dowager (note the singularity) meeting up the Auditor General, Tan Sri Mardinah tomorrow on an auspicious Friday.

The matter will be on Lembaga Tabung Haji, but there is nothing holy or sincere intention to clean-up the system of the idealistic young Jefferson Smith character in Frank Capra's Hollywood classic, Mr Smith Goes To Washington.

There are elements of revenge, deceit and power craze. But, it is about making the upcoming illegal Hibah announcement for Tabung Haji happen.

Mardinah may have booboo to make a statement to confirm for a happening she was not around, but she would have raised some real concerns on the SPV manoeuvre by new management.

The manoeuvre to make previous management look bad by coordinated media blitz by a Yati of allegations still at police report stage had devious intentions.

If the police and MACC report fail to be a case, do not be surprise the victims would added more misery with civil suits and even mareeva injunction to freeze their accounts and assets.

Anything to make the victims broke or turn bankrupt from paying legal fees and give them a bad name that would destroy their career for life.

This whole manouvre by the Empress Dowagers (note plurality) goes back to 2016 Rafizi Ramli's leak of BNM Governor, Tan Sri Zeti letters to Minister-in-charge, and Tabung Haji then Chairman, Dato Seri Azeez Rahim; and the power struggle of Datuk Zaiton Hassan at Bank Islam and BIMB Holding.

All those victimised at Tabung Haji, except those willing to betray their colleagues and bosses to cover their skin and their own wrongdoings, could be linked to this past episode.

The extend of revenge and craze for power goes to the extend of deceiving the public of the truth, insidious manipulation and destroying an internationally credible Islamic institution as old as the nation.

And, turnover an important Islamic institution to come under DAP control.

Tomorrow. an Empress Dowager (note singularity) will meet Mardinah to clarify on peculiar issues and inconsistencies raised by the Auditor General.

Its a bit technical to talk of the various clauses in the Tabung Haji act in which the Empress Dowagers only pursue Section 22 (3)(a).

But not other clauses including on need not sell but only charge and reserve.

There were manipulative interpretations on impairments, exemption, etc by the Empresses.

The integrity of the Empresses is now being question including the close relations with PWC Chairman that could raise suspicion of collusion to tolong-tolong kawan and saudara.

Mardinah may be on a PTD survival mode and like all civil servants, are in a state of fear.

But she should be aware that there are those familiar with what's happening.

Rafizi maybe lef off by new management, but there are new Rafizi clone against the current Tabung Haji management.

Tommy Thomas allegedly said, "Me, Guan Eng and Kit Siang; We are all one"

$

Anwar Ibrahim may accused this blogger as spinning. Wan Azizah may have passed the buck to Tun Dr Mahathir. And he accused this blog for fake news.

But, this blog always tell it as it is and the source of information is clear: be it opinion or analysis or sources.

At times, we cannot disclose the source identity. They must be protected, even though there is the risk of being sued or investigated by law enforcement.

This headline has its own risk as it is similar to criticising or accusing judges. Hope Tommy Thomas is aware that it is political in nature and to be taken in stride.

That quote came from a "legal practitioner". Tommy Thomas said those words to few other "legal practitioners".

Mind you, it is not easy to get the information. We had to meet the person at a hidden location in a stuffy smoky room and on the way, we had to switch cars to ward off any tailing cars.

For all the trouble, it could be a futile effort.

The list of political fumble by Tommy is getting longer by the day. Lim Guan Eng and Lim Kit Siang would naturally deny such alleged claim by Tommy but seriously, the Lims would be to ashame to be put in same company as Tommy.

More so, a letter revealed that Tommy was taking instruction from cabinet.

Nevertheless, the quote is politically believable for many reasons.

First, he got the Attorney General Chamber (AGC) to withdraw the case of Guan Eng's Jalan Pinhorn home. It is a similar in nature with the case against Dato Dr Khir Toyo in which he was found guilty.

A blogger claimed Tun Dr Mahathir was not in the know of the plan which involved Lim Kit Siang, Tommy Thomas and a Federal Court judge, to say the least.

He claimed they met together and there is a video.

It is Friday and we can only say, "Wallahu alam bissawwab (Only god knows)".

Second, he is politically influence-able for making extra additional three charges against Dato Najib on the SRC case, in which he is personally involved in the prosecution, immediately upon PH losing Cameron Highland by-election.

The charges was funny as people in the know of the case claimed it is charging the same case again which was investigated by other enforcement agencies.

Yesterday, he withdrew the three cases and High Court took charge to hear 7 of Najib's charges from Session Court. Defense lawyer for Najib, Tan Sri Shafee Abdullah responded, "This is completely bonkers!"

Supposedly, Najib was re-“arrested” and then re-served with warrant to appear in court at 830am today. He is not detained overnight.

Najib was re-charged in session court with the same three charges that was dropped in high court today.

Tommy the acclaimed legal genius, so-called renown defense attorney, and constitutional expert with his 10 DPPs that went together to court to make the first of many Najib charges could not put the cases properly.

Tommy and his dopies
Not only that, Tommy and the 10 DPPs (or more appropriately called dopies), made the second amendment to the charges  on the day they made the additional charges.

It leads to the suspicion the additional charges were made for political reason to divert attention from the third set of charges for the supposedly in the bag SRC case.

Tommy maybe good as a defense lawyer to nitpick issues and punch hole into the prosecution case, but looks like he is far from competent to put together a case.

Mahathir should just accept his resignation and not "blackmail" him to withdraw resignation.

Third but still not the best reason to believe Tommy is political and one with the Lims, he put together an Election Commission tribunal to take disciplinary action on former members of the Election Commission.

This is merely a typical internal inquiry before further action is to be done on any staff. It is absolutely ridiculous to pursue on members who have resigned.

A blogger described Tommy as squashed tomato made stupid by a Bar Council member.

Peruvalen of Valen and Co is an honest and upright lawyer whose brave to say it as it is. And he is Tommy's good friend.

But you pay pro-bono you get monkeyed, dude.

Tommy could remove his friend, but in return, he is getting severely criticised and Hanif Khatri demanded Tommy's apology. Dr Puad Zarkash called for his resignation.

Fourth, Tommy claimed he wants to separate his role as legal adviser to the government from the role as public prosecutor.

He wanted to review some more than 130 laws deemed as archaic, not meeting Siti Kassim's liberal standard for Muslim, not acceptable with Eric Paulsen's understanding of human rights convention, and oppressive.

But where is the proposed constitutional amendment?

Although Peruvalen was not paid, Tommy has been paying and out-sourcing his role to lawyers, specifically former Federal Court judge and Anwar's former sodomoy II case lawyer, Datuk Gopal Sri Ram and one case to Sulaiman Abdullah.

The choice of Gopal is certainly political. Not only his name has been talked about among legal practitioner as a "corrupt" judge (one case in mind is UEM vs Genisys of Singapore), he is said to be politically aligned to Mahathir and have been meeting him on a regular basis, if not three times a week.

Gopal makes a lot of public statement on issues as though he is a concerned citizen and believer in democracy, and justice. Is he a registered voter? Why does he has a British PR status?

Aiyoo deyyy ... please tell us, do you have enough documents to make your case against Najib?

Do read posting: Message from a Time to Kill.

And, do tell us how could a Civil servant pay scale, judge afford 18 luxury cars including a Rolls Royce as claimed by the source that need to ward off cars tailing?

Was the Bentley a gift from a rich Tun?

Fifth, the investigation on PAS for alleged RM90 million from 1MDB.

When Hadi announced off court settlement, it means Clare Rewcastle too agree to withdraw her counter sue. No different from out of court settlement between Guan Eng and Nasruddin Tantawi.

Lim Kit Siang have been at the forefront to attack PAS after Cameron Highlands to split the UMNO-PAS cooperation. The reason PAN is on the offensive too.

Since 2015, MACC have investigated and know where all the money that went into Najib's account. The bulk of it was returned back to donors

Only now MACC, and likely at the instruction of AG and the Lims, pretending to start on an already completed investigation.

The AG standing is higher than MACC Chief Commissioner, and Police's IGP. It may have been DAP that wanted MACC (through Tommy) to raid China's CCCC office hours before Tun Daim met China's PM.

This move is definitely political and meant to split the support from PAS voters for the UMNO candidacy at Semenyih. Takut rupanya!

Six, but not necessarily the last, can he please explain the letter below as revealed by a young Facebooker by the name of Puteri Amira.

How could an AG Office direct the court's due process?

It is written proof that government interfered and orchestrated the judicial process for political reasons.

And, it is as though the AG and court is run by someone who does not know the law (even though they are legally qualified) for resorting to such unlawful and unethical practises.

Hanafiah Zakaria is the DPP that claimed the case against Guan Eng cannot win. Some sources claimed he carries out certain "duties" for a previous AG.

By the way, the information leak on Guan Eng's hanky panky that eventually became a case is believed to have been leaked by unhappy and decent Penang DAP members!

According to another source, Tommy is racist and have been uttering words like "Melayu bodoh" in meetings.

Now, it looks like it is not the Melayu that is bodoh, but this particular Serani or Indian is turning out to be bodoh punya loyar or worse still, tongong, goblok and dublek in Javanese!

Mahathir used to try to distance himself from Tan Sri Gani Patail for charging Tun Ling Liong Sik for PKFZ case. He appointed Gani to be AG, but excused himself by claiming there is not many good lawyers within the service.

With Tommy from the private sector looking more and more ridiculous, Gani looks like a legal genius.

Azmin Bladder Cancer? Anwar charged?

$

0

Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim seemed visibly upset with last Monday's posting on the eve of Chinese New Year, "Azmin appointed DPM after CNY?" He accused this blogger for intentionally starting a rumour, spinning, and creating tension within PH.

Well, that does not need this single blogger to do so. Tun Dr Mahathir and Anwar can do it far better divide and rule than anyone in this country. alone could do so. Too much to mention of Mahathir but for Anwar, Pakatan Rakyat with PAS being split out after being used was aan example of Anwar's handiwork.

To spin, it means adding more to existing confirmed events to create a possibility. The line between analysis and spin is a thin line.
If claiming Azmin is suffering from bladder cancer for being seen with a Catherer bag, that could be spinning. When it is heard Azmin was telling visitors that he is having stone, that could be him trying to spin to hide his true ailment.
The bag is for purpose of collecting leak urine. According to UCLA Health website, the reasons could be issues with the prostate or urethra or radiation theraphy or cancer - prostate or according to the experience of a relative, bladder cancer. Now, that is analysis.
Some will insist it is spinning to take advantage of the concern for Tan Sri Muhyiddin whose suffering from pancrease cancer. Say what they want, it is genuine analysis.
Despite Mahathir's answering for Wan Azizah, denial, and calling this blog's analysis as fake news,  Anwar's in a hurry hurry to meet Mahathir should be analysed.

Utusan Malaysia has the news:

ANWAR Ibrahim memuat naik gambar dalam akaun Facebook beliau bertemu Dr. Mahathir Mohamad di Yayasan Kepimpinan Perdana, Putrajaya, semalam.-MEDIA SOSIAL

Dr. Mahathir, Anwar tukar pendapat hal mendesak

FADZIL ZAINOL

08 Februari 2019 11:35 AM

KUALA LUMPUR 8 Feb.

Quite sure, FMT put up the same report yesterday but it is taken off.

Knowing Anwar, he will use this news report to spin to his friends and supporters that they have worked out the transfer of power schedule and it will be soon to blow some confidence into them. He is playing a slow game and the blog posting may have upset his plan.

In fact, the blog post did get much hits but the attention started coming from Sinar Harian [see link HERE]. Sorry the editorial received wahyu from above to take it down.

These days, owner Datok Hishamuddin Yahya is taking charge of editorial himself.

There is an element of fear among mainstream media that he may not want to take the risk of being impartial. Bawah BN, boleh bebas.com but not when Anwar is slowly parking his people into MSM everywhere. Portal operator should play it safe by putting Mahathir's face on the masthead.

Dato Hishamuddin is close with Anwar and it is a natural suspicion that he may have received calls from Anwar.  Sinar is a Kelantanese-owned paper so the speculation it was Dato Husam Musa is possible too.

Sinar Harian is not the only want to pull out their news. NST and BH reported Wan Azizah's response to evade by asking the reporters to pose the question to PM but it was also pull out.

FMT still have the report. Manyak garang ...

It is puzzling that the NST Group GEIC, Dato Abdul Rashid Yusof or Mustapha Kamil at Media Prima be taking orders from Anwar to pull it out too. It would be more logical for the rder to have come from BossMereka - Tun Daim or Dato Abdul Kadir Jasin, respectively.

It could be to contain the rumour and the suspicion is it is not upset the plan that is not to be executed yet.

Maybe this is an attempt to explain from an analysis and information gathered. Forget about explaining Mahathir will not have a sodomite as PM. See the video below:

The plan to block Anwar have been around for long. The cabinet have not been fully put together and this blogger was approached to help block Anwar. They mentioned of another sodomy case and was replied, "Not again. It won't work!"

It ended there till same source informing the plan to appoint Azmin as DPM mentioned of Anwar to be charged for CBT similar to the among the charges on Dato Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. It could be symbolic to send the message that they both conspired against PM.

The problem is it is not convincing. The case is too small and too long ago.

The plan told by PPBM people is that he would be charged for CBT involving RM1 million money of the foundation, Yayasan Salam. The Gen Y and Z may not have heard of this foundation as it was Anwar's vehicle as then DPM to play an international role similarly done by Dato Azeeez Raheem.

We are divulging this because of justice. It is not fair on Anwar to be subjected again to another of Mahathir's draconian and cruel hands. He has paid his dues and should be considered as a clean white cloth.

However, we do not think he can make PM. Azmin is younger and more suited with the times. He is much steadier. He may have found the situation under control before responding but his response is cool. Tidak menggelabah macam Anwar.

Azmin said he was not aware as he was undergoing operations. Some claim he rush to do the operations in the midst of the ruckus from the blog post. To each their own perception.

And this is both rhetorics and a spin.

However, the rumour heard is Azmin promised Mahathir to bring 20 of his PKR MPs to Mahathir inorder to strengthen him. But they are reluctant to leave PKR. Hedging?.

Anwar should be aware that PAS agreed that Azmin is a better leader and would make for a good DPM. They spinned it as Anwar is only interested to be PM.

Anwar should realise that PAS is sending the message that he played them out at Pakatan Rakyat. Azmin remain to stick with them. Will that mean PAS is Team A to support Mahathir-Azmin?

Tanya saja bukan nak pecah belahkan atau spin.

Ex-Utusan @BEBASnews.com defended Empress Dowager

$

Ex-Utusan Malaysia reporter and now BEBASnews.com portal, Mowardi Mahmud seemed to be defending Empress Dowager and current management of Tabung Haji.

After being criticised by Anwar Ibrahim, and accused of churning fake news by Tun Dr Mahathir, whose face is on the masthead of BEBASnews.com, it certainly adds to the feather to be picked on by the team of ex-Utusan Malaysia Deputy Chief Editor, Dato Zaini Hassan.

Certainly, this blog is no "dalang" and threat. Its far from able to create tension as accused by Anwar. Its just "another brick in the wall" with a view on the current management of Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) and their actions.

Since TH current management is in-cahoot with DAP to systematically destroy this internationally renown Islamic Institution, it should be the cause celebre of Zaini too. Respectably, Zaini may have his reasons.

Nevertheless, a debate with Mowardi is most welcoming. Its the publicity BEBASnews.com should be craving for.

However, Mowardi does have to be more specific and factual to deal with hard hitting investigative portal like SABAHKINI2.

Their expose on wrongdoings and conflict of interest by one of the Empress Dowager's has meat and verifiable documents.

If BEBASnews.com was hired by Datin Wan Norhiyati Wan Ibrahim (Yati) to spearhead the corporate communication of TH on social media, Mowardi should not bring the melancholic suratkhabar Melayu style on social media.

It is not educating the public and may not work even with kampong folks, especially those with social media accounts. They could lose confidence and a run on TH to ensue.

Mowardi cautioned on “menelan bulat bulat” (blindly believing). Isn’t that what the Minister and TH is doing through the court of public opinion?

Aren't they hoodwinking the public with manipulated information and public execution, without trial?

Then, he mentioned about “ikan menjadi lauk” (taking someone as victim). Isn't there many previous members of the management being victimised?

And, isn’t the blame game an extension of over politicking and at the expense of the Malay strategic interests?

And, he claimed it is character assassination.

The current management seemed to be only one of the Empress Dowager (note the singularity), Datok Zukri Samat, and Datin Wan Norhiyati (Yati). No critic of management could be done without touching these characters.

But then, is the series of police reports and MACC report not a media circus and character assasination?

Empress, Zukri and Yati has a history of assasination beyond characters to turn their victims bankrupt, reputation and career destroyed, and life suffered.

A seasoned economic reporter should certainly investigate before his firm simply take up any client.

There are many more issues and line by line of Mowardi's can be scrutinised and expanded. Lets put them aside and not make a big deal over his writing style.

Firstly, this blogger is no better a writer.

Secondly, it is better that Mowardi defend the attack on Zaiton Hassan by Sabahkini2's "Tabung Haji dalam bahaya, integriti Zaiton Hassan pengarah baru dipersoal" with answers.

A dedicated investigative portal like SABAHKINI2 will not do so without insider leads, fact and supporting evidences. Though MACC may have denied their claim of investigation on UZMA, they did shake the establishment and Rocky Bru questioned MACC for too late response

SABAHKINI2 went after TH before this blog raised issue with new TH management. The alleged dalang must be behind them and not associated with us.

BEBASnews.com need substance than Utusan Malaysia-style of writing to argue by appealing for no buruk sangka (ill faith) and sympathy. Believe it is no more Utusan's style.

The client Mawardi is defending is misleading the public.

Hibah 2017 was declared based on Realisable Value (RV) of RM74.7b, and not Net Book Value (NBV) of RM70.3 billion. The Tabung Haji Act 1996 (THA 1996) never mentioned to follow accounting based on NBV.

A 24-year economic reporter would have surely understand RV, NBV and learned up THA 1996 before writing!

Quite sure, BEBASnews.com may not be aware with this poser:
The second police report on the sales of 95% interest in PT TH Indo Plantations was fully paid. According to sources, police themselves are puzzled as to why the need make the report when payment already made.
It is like Tommy Thomas establishing an EC Tribunal to investigate six former members who have resigned and at the same time, deceived the Acting King, Sultan Nazrin for consent to establish the tribunal.

Go check with their police contact. Ask Yati for explanation. Get expert to verify their accountants views

On TH third police report on illegal hibah, Mowardi should scrutinise new management with regards to impairments and exceptions they used to justify the upcoming hibah announcement that could be illegal and inconsistent with their allegation of TH's 2017 hibah.

Get specific and technical. Then, "bebas" journalism and freedom of the press is truly towards truth, justice and nationbuilding for alif, ba, ta and not defend a "pencuri, penyamun dan perompak".

Lets be sincere. Should TH fail to get police make a criminal case, what would current management do?

If it is to resort to civil lawsuit and and maleeva injunction against previous members of management, it will prove us correct.

Current management leadership will be proven as truly evil, vindictive, and crazy for power. Come join forces with us for sake of truth and justice.

No worry about paying personal and portal bills. Have faith in Allah. Been through it and left fate be decided by the Almighty. It never fail.

BossKu to IjazahKu: Shooting the Messenger to Diverting the Message

Dato' Wong Chun Wai's column is seldom filled with rhetorics and cliche that reading the headline is sufficient to figure out what and with whom he is trying to curry flavour.

These days he has swayed with the wind as The Star pander to its DAP supporters-readers to get their sales.

His column today is quite humourous. It is probably his way to ride the wave of public uproar over Ministers lying on their diploma and evade the serious issue by spinning with a Najib facade.

While yesterday was "shooting the messenger" exercise in public relation, today is diverting the message and toning the BossKu momentum.

Heck! That was the punished Old Malaysia, but why New Malaysia compromised on integrity and making all sort of silly excuses?

Before going any further, there have been new exposes of Dato Mahfudz Omar, and Sabahan Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Jaujan Sambakong. Not sufficient attention given to Tourism Minister, Dato Mohamaddin Ketapi whose actions do not reflect that of a law graduate.

Dato Paduka Mukhriz Mahathir's Wikipedia profile showed him with two similar degree from Sophia University (1982) and Boston University (1987). But he was still doing his Form 5 in MRSM Pengkalen Chepa in 1981!

WE seem to be heading towards a dangerous edge. There is now an emerging culture of shamelessness.

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak may have been slapped with countless charges of corruption and money laundering, but his campaign, Malu apa, bossku (“Why the shame, boss?” in Bahasa Malaysia), has surprisingly attracted millions of likes on social media.

The scandal-smeared former prime minister has traded in his tailored suits, impeccable English and political elite-aristocratic crowd for the Mat Rempit and Malay working class.

As part of his makeover, he is now decked in black parka, black jeans and black sneakers.

He is even hanging out with the young Mat Rempit and posting wefies with them. He is also happily showing off a black-and-red Yamaha Y15ZR 150cc moped that is all the rage with the youths of today.

And the registration plate on his bike is 8055KU, which insinuates “BOSSKU”, and to these newfound supporters, Najib is called Boss kita! (Our Boss.)

The key phrase here is Malu apa bossku, and while many learned Malaysians are cringing over this new culture, it barely seems wrong for our embattled former PM, who is basking in it and promoting the malaise.
COMMENT:Enough of the BodekBossMu

Najib was only charged and no court has judged him wrong. The development on the SRC case, which is supposed to be in the bag since it is local and money trail easier to verify, is not doing too well. Though their side claimed there are clauses on the power of the Finance Minister, prosecution side cannot take it for granted. They need to prove for entrustment.

Court has allowed stay of SRC trial pending COA appeal and AG confirmed following cabinet interference by seeking court to expedite. Prosecution's credibility at stake.

A new development from The Edge on Sheikh Mansour and Topaz will eventually raise the pertinent question: What is the point of charging Najib when the principal culprit of Jho Loh (and accomplice) and Sheikh Mansour  (and accomplice Khadem Al Qudaisi and Muhammad Badawi) are still on the loose?

But a similar show is also surfacing on the other side of the political divide.

One Pakatan Harapan leader after another is having his or her dubious education credentials exposed after Deputy Foreign Minister Marzuki Yahya was questioned over his.

Johor Mentri Besar Osman Sapian’s education history has come under the spotlight with the allegation that he didn’t obtain a degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), as claimed.

Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin’s social science degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS), as reported when she became a minister, has also come into question. Now, she’s washed her hands of ever having had one.

DAP Assemblyman from Tronoh Paul Yong Choo Kiong claimed to have a masters in business administration from Akamai University – an alleged degree mill in Hawaii – among his academic qualifications.

None of these politicians have apologised for not correcting these errors when they were revealed, but now, they have conveniently shrugged off the news reports, claiming no knowledge of such revelations.

Worse, Marzuki passed the buck to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (read Joceline Tan here), saying it is now up to his boss to decide. The Johor MB chose to remain silent, hoping that the storm would blow over.

The central issue here isn’t whether an elected representative should have a tertiary education – the point here is, should we put our trust in anyone who lies to themselves?

If some of these individuals buy dubious online diplomas, they are only cheating themselves. Worse, the electorate has also fallen for this charade hook, line and sinker.

Instead of working hard, like most university students, these individuals apparently chose the easy way out. Are we expected to believe them when they talk about accountability and integrity from now on?

What’s worse is, most Pakatan leaders have chosen to look the other way or have lamely justified these dishonest transgressions.

If they were in the private sector, the sack would be a foregone conclusion, but then they are “Yang Berhormat”, despite these dishonourable acts.

Apa nak malu, YB! Aku ada SPM aje, bro!

And of course, that’s not the end. PAS leaders have found themselves in unfamiliar waters.

With their turbans and goatees, they like to appear pious and holier than thou. However, they are now seeing their names flying on social media, associated with a taste for sports cars and bikes, and not just under their names, but those of their children and spouses.

A report filed with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over allegations of PAS leaders getting RM90mil from Umno under the previous administration involved “a list of expensive cars”, properties, high-powered motorcycles and “the purchase of number plates at exorbitant prices”, it has been widely reported.

According to the report, several PAS leaders were accused of using these funds to acquire the cars and properties.

The cars include BMW, Mini Cooper, Toyota Vellfire, Range Rover, Porsche Cayman, Audi Q7, Audi A6, Toyota Camry, Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Passat, Mercedes Benz, and a BMW motorcycle, according to a report.

“As for the properties, this includes a bungalow in Bangi worth RM3mil,” says a report. The only item missing is camel ownership.

PAS Mursyidul Am (spiritual leader) Datuk Hashim Jasin has admitted to owning a Porsche Cayman, but said his son was the real owner, who was entitled to an Approved Permit (AP) when he served as the Arau MP between 1998 and 1999.

Every one of them has branded these accusations as part of some grand political conspiracy, pleading innocence and insisting they are virginal and pure instead.

But we are sure they will be okay, and they will continue to preach accountability and transparency, and possibly continue to look – invoking race, religion and God – to their faithful followers, who will readily give away their savings and, brave the rain and scorching sun to support them.

Malu Apa Bossku? Tatap Sokong Boss (as the Sabahans will say).
COMMENT:Strangely, the comment on PAS is more lengthy than the one on PPBM, PKR, Warisan and DAP. Obviously, PAS is DAP's target to safe Semenyih seat for PPBM.

Not much commented on Lim Guan Eng.

Yesterday, Monday, MCA President Wee Ka Siong accused Lim Guan Eng for lying to the public on his profession as an accountant. He was never one and mere provisional member as he elaborated well on his FB here.

Wee went further today Typically, Guan Eng will threaten and use the court to shut his opponent up. It is an abuse of the court process.

Blogger Abu Leman raised issue on the official declaration that he became member of ASA before graduation. The website got the wrong date.

It does pose the question as to whether Guan Eng is a just a politician and incapable of being a Minister of Finance.

Media Adviser to the PM, Dato Abdul Kadir Jasin said that the just announced Economic Action Council is a manifestation of the inability of Cabinet to handle issues related to economy, finance and welfare of the people.

It points to Guan Eng, Azmin and Darell Leiking. What do you expect with one of them faking their real qualification?

Unfortunately, all three will be key members of EAC. Frankly, not so sure on the capability of the members, which are either too old or unknown, to drive the nation forward. The challenges of the country's economy is coming from external, so the EAC is not relevent without Foreign Ministry (unfortunately, gullibly "condemning" Foreign Minister has to be brought in)!

The EAC is an insult not only on Guan Eng, but wunderboy adviser Tony Pua. Prior to this in mid-January, PMO announced the Debt and Liability Management Committee to reduce government's debt to manageable level. That is supposed to be under the direct purview of the Ministry of Finance.

Some of members of that committee has questionable capability and tend to make presumptions purely on their urbane observation without anything to back them up. Not only Ministers and economic policymaker, even police has not enough credible people in the succession plan.

This comes from Mahathir perpetual reliance on loyal donkeys instead of credible and capable people that could contribute honestly with an independent mind.

Federal Court ruling, Vexatious litigation for TH and BEBASnews.com

The day new management of Tabung Haji (TH) made police reports against previous management puzzled many corporate watcher and market players.

Usually before such actions, there would be internal enquiries, right to reply, and various due process within the organisation to ascertain anything tantamount to a crime.

The new management of TH came in and vavoom came swiftly the series of police reports.

Perhaps, the new management may got the go-ahead from someone up above. Quite sure the tasking was meant to be done properly and in accordance with due process.

However, Malaysia Baru is a strange time in our history. It is similar to Robespierre era after the French Revolution. After the American Civil War, there were carpet baggers streaming down south.

If new management made their case to Tun Dr Mahathir, the politician par excellence and supreme political animal would be motivated by politics and instruct to go for former Chirman, Dato Seri Azeez Raheem.

The police report was full of fanfare but Azeez alleged offense involving Yayasan Tabung Haji was minor as no money was stolen and it went to a good cause.

Someone at lower management level were complacent to miss out and not advise management an important clause in the Deed of Trust.

It is easy to be suspicious as to why the other m*the®f^ck€rs not charged together?

For the public fanfare for only police reports, the 24-year economy writer for BEBASnews.com need be aware that there is justification in this blogger's concern on the improper manner and suspiciously manipulative ways the whole turnaround attempt of TH is being handled.

The heck with Azeez because the others could be victimised.

Defamatory for revealing police report

This is a piece of news from The Malay Mail Online two weeks ago:
Going public with police report can amount to defamation, Federal Court rules

Published 1 week ago on 01 February 2019

PUTRAJAYA, Feb 1 — The Federal Court ruled on Wednesday that a person who lodges a police report could be held accountable for defamation if he or she repeats the contents of the report to the public.
Justice Tan Sri Azahar Mohamed said subsequent publication of the contents of a police report by its maker to the public was not protected by the defence of absolute privilege save where the contents of the report were made in or in connection with judicial proceedings.

In his 15-page judgment, he said there was no public policy consideration to recognise that once the police report was absolutely privileged it remained so at whatever occasion it was subsequently published.

“The right of the maker of the police report to speak and write freely to the public at large cannot override an individual’s interest in protecting his reputation,” said Justice Azahar, who delivered the judgment of a five-man bench in a defamation lawsuit brought against actress Zahida Mohamed Rafik.

He said the absolute-privilege defence must at some point give way to protection against reputational damage.

Justice Azahar said it would result in persons irresponsibly slandering others with impunity if the defence of absolute privilege was extended to cover the subsequent publication of the contents of the police report to the world at large.

He said that in the present case, Zahida did not offer justification or explanation why it was necessary or reasonable for her to repeat the contents of the police report at a press conference.

However, he said, although the court answered the legal question pertaining to absolute privilege in favour of Zahida’s former driver, Noor Azman Azemi, it would not affect the result of his appeal.

In dismissing Noor Azman’s appeal with no order as to costs, Justice Azahar said no serious miscarriage of justice had occurred. Noor Azman had appealed against the Court of Appeal decision which set aside the RM150,000 damages awarded to him by the High Court in his defamation suit against Zahida.

Noor Azman, a driver for a private company, would also have to return RM200,000 to Zahida as the Federal Court had upheld a Court of Appeal decision on her counter-claim against him (Noor Azman).

Read on here for background of case.
This report essentially is saying it is wrong and defamatory to leak and reveal police report to local and foreign media and shame the affected persons.

Azeez maybe evil and stand being accused of various offenses, but a police report means that he has yet to be ascertain as guilty by any court.

Save your prejudice, because a media blitz to shame him using police report is wrong. The other lesser beings is wrong.

Vexatious litigation

Wikipedia described vexatious litigation as follows:
Vexatious litigation is legal action which is brought, regardless of its merits, solely to harass or subdue an adversary. It may take the form of a primary frivolous lawsuit or may be the repetitive, burdensome, and unwarranted filing of meritless motions in a matter which is otherwise a meritorious cause of action. Filing vexatious litigation is considered an abuse of the judicial process and may result in sanctions against the offender.
There have been many such cases in Malaysia. An examples below involves people and lawyers with some familiarity with this blogger.

The Star reported on July 20, 2011 on Matthias Chang. Extract below:
...Amex’s lawyer Prakash Menon said High Court Judicial Commissioner Dr Prasad Sandosham Abraham had on Friday declared Chang as a “vexatious litigant”.

“This is due to the application by Amex to obtain the declaration. The court could grant the declaration if the applicant (Amex) can prove that the defendant has persistently and habitually filed claims against the same or different people without reasonable cause,” Prakash said when contacted yesterday.

Prakash said Amex had filed the application on March 5 last year to get the declaration.

In the application, he said, the credit card company applied for the court to restrain Chang from filing any proceeding against Amex arising from the judgment which they obtained in 2005 without the leave of the judge.

When asked to elaborate, Prakash said that “numerous cases and applications arising from the judgment over his failure to settle his credit card debts had all been dismissed by the courts.”
The legal discussion on the case and another involving Perak Industrial Corporation Sdn Bhd can be found in the blog of MESSRS S. S. TIEH, ADVOCATES AND SOLICITORS here.

A renown lawyer, Jahaberdeen Mohamed Yunoos wrote on this abuse of the court process in The Malay Mail Online in 2016 here.

If there is a trend of similar series of actions involving Yati, Zukri and Empress Dowager, they may have committed vexatious litigation.

Justified cause

Based on these two, this blogger has justified cause to be concerned. It is beyond the thrill of being a "dalang". The concern with happenings at Tabung Haji is genuine.

See video of other concerned party below:

They are not satisfied with the news report on the SPV, which mainstream reporter and also online media gobbled up hook, line and sinker from this taklimat made easy for editor and reporters "rakan" (aligned) to new management.

What you see is what you find being churned out by the media without critical analysis and questions being asked.

Mowardi should refer to what we asked n the previous posting with regard to below:

Was hoping a response on behalf of client. Make their money worth. It is your's and our money in TH too.

Quite sure now someone will jump to suspect Azeez as my dalang. Bodoh punya orang!

IGP trip, PH quarrel erupt, and GLC purge to come

The Istanbul trip by IGP, Dato Fuzi Harun was exposed by Sarawak Report to be an office holiday trip, but it was a working visit arranged by National Totalisator Board (NTB) on matters regarding online illegal gambling.

As soon as the story broke out, unqualified Accountant and failed Economist Lim Guan Eng sprang into defensive mode. Whether he is telling the truth or usually lying, he told MMO that Treasury did not pay for it and claimed Ananda Krishnan's number forecasting Da Ma Cai operation paid the trip.

What he is saying is Treasury refused to pay for the trip and he requested NTB to arrange Da Ma Cai to sponsor. Sabahkini2 has similar view. As one owner of a gambling license said, a Minister's request is as good as an order and they will have to secede.

Dato Dr Asyraff Wajidi was angered by Guan Eng's insensitivity. However, there is political implication behind the facade of a typical Guan Eng's lack of familiarity with proper administrative practise.

Blogger Flying Kick see it as DAP's first salvo against Tun Dr Mahathir for turning on his word and accept 7 UMNO MPs into PPBM.

The jump is Mahathir's "old game" and player within expected move, commented Dato Dr Jamil Khir. This time DAP and PKR has lost their level of tolerance. Ronnie Liew statement is reflective of Lim Kit Siang.

Putting Ananda's company in the spotlight is symbolic.

Anwar had enough

For Anwar, he had enough and made his move.

In a firm reaction to rumours of Azmin to be appointed DPM after Chinese New Year and exclusion of himself or his wife from the NEAC 2.0, Anwar said he expect to takeover within 2 years.

The rumour that have long been floating and this blog have mentioned several time is that he wants it as soon as March or expect a vote of no confidence by the next Parliament seating. The Speaker of the House is allied with DAP.

Azmin have been given the ultimatum to bring back all the MPs back to PKR. A source claimed he may have wavered when told Mahathir's days on earth is numbered. Many sources have been talking about Mahathir needing frequent hormone injections to keep going.

No one realised the significance in the presence of Shamsul Iskandar during Anwar and Wan Azizah's visit of Azmin at the hospital.

As for DAP, there have not been satisfied with the GLC appointments at GLCs and voices are calling for reform. All targeting Tun Daim.

The announcement of NEAC 2.0 and Debt Rationalisation Committee by PMO may not have been accepted well.

The hands of  Daim orchestrating through his fourth wife's brother is obvious. The economist have been getting too much publicity and position for a one research sensation.

Mahathir is increasingly seen by PKR and DAP to have no interest to pursue the path of reform and remained in his old ways.

It means if war erupts within PH, the purgerors in GLCs can only expect a reversal of roles and possibly face retribution for showing their true colours.

The position of AMANAH is a toss-up. The Mahathir watcher see them siding with his Mahathir-Azmin tagteam. Mat Sabu's diplomatic words on the acceptance of the 7 UMNO MPs would support their view. More so, Mahathir have given their elected MPs Ministerial position at the expense of PKR.

In private, Mat Sabu have been expressing personal reservation of Azmin for many years. He has shunned Mat Sabu in his later years as Selangor MB. Azmin's refusal to remove PAS from Selangor's Pakatan Rakyat government remained a sore point.

Mahathir has ignored Warisan to say PPBM do not need the permission of a Shafee Apdal or Shafee Abdullah to enter Sabah. He is ready to pee on Shafee

The straw that broke Muhyiddin's back?

Muhyiddin said on December 28th that there have been no discussion in PPBM meeting in accepting the 7 UMNO MPs. Suddenly, the announced acceptance and a ceremony to provide their membership cards.

Guan Eng's expose of Da Ma Cai paying for Fuzis trip is seen as an attack on Mahathir, While, the expose by Sarawak Report of Fuzi's trip could be seen as an attack on Muhyiddin. He approved Fuzi's trip!

It is believed that  Clare Rewcastle is on Mahathir's payroll and close with Dato Khairuddin Abu Hassan, a confidante of Mahathir. Muhyiddin could interpret it as the high level game leading to his ouster.

Talk within PPBM is that his Presidency could be challenged following rumoured challenge on Mukhriz by a cabinet member. The expose on Marzuki's non-Cambridge degree is claimed to have come from the Mukhriz camp for swinging to Muhyiddin side following appointment as Secretary General.

Marzuki maybe eyeing a position in which Mukhriz has interest too. Though Marzuki left his fate with Mahathir, it was Muhyiddin who announce no action will be taken.

The move to take in UMNO MPs is really necessary for PPBM. They have no depth and need outsiders to fill up various positions. Apparently, the recently joined Mas Ermieyati would be tasked the head of Srikandi of PPBM.

Dissolve of Parliament

Anwar believes he has the numbers and insisted the meeting of the Council of Presidents to be called immediately. A heated meeting is expected.

If there is no solution, it will lead to a motion of no confidence against Mahathir in Parliament and it could go either way. UMNO votes matters.

Lim Kit Siang has said before that DAP will leave, if PH astrayed from the reform agenda. Mahathir could foresee a vote of no confidence when he said, "If DAP, PKR, AMANAH, betrayed him ... he will leave."

It is no Mahathir to only leave it to fate. He has the option of combining with UMNO and PAS coalition, but he is too proud.

Mahathir directed Dato Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to disband UMNO but he could not live to do it.

the numbers could The

new month at the be ANwar ps accep. call for Guan Eng's He has unconsciously escalated tension within PH into an all out political war.

Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim has begin to make his move to show If there is no solution There are sufficient signals to show of a possible break-up of PH and a snap general election will be called. Not too far in the horizon, the purgerors in GLCs and financial and non-financial institutions like Tabung Haji will get purged.

Those behaving inappropriately and showing their true colours could only expect retribution.

The trip by Fuzi was an official trip and not sponsored. However, it is not paid by PDRM.

The need for extensive participation maybe beyond police budget aka Putrajaya aka Treasury, but the Totalisator Board of Malaysia saw it's importance and decided to fund them.

They say there are not many honest cop. If there is one, it would be this former SB Director General and chief terrorism fighter is one. Those invited to his daughter's wedding recently could attest to it.

There have been talk and even viral messages creating the perception that Mahathir is talking of UMNO 3.0 and some blogger were writing about back channel discussion between Najib's men and Mahathir's men.

It is unlikely to happen. Too soon for Mahathir to patch up with Najib. Muhyiddin will not be keen to. Not when the court process is facing to many hitches as it is not him to negotiate from an uncertain position.

There is one possibility and that is the impossible term that there is no Rosmah. Nevertheless, Mahathir will not go back on his words to go into a coalition with UMNO after asking Zahid Hamidi to close up the party.

More so, UMNO is now in cooperation with PAS. He has a lifelong allergy with PAS since the lost at Kota Setar in 1969.

Rather than give power to Anwar Ibrahim or return owner to UMNO, he would rather dissolve Parliament and que sera sera. UMNO and PAS could turn many seats around but the hold on government is uncertain.

This time there will be a jet ready for Buenos Aires at tarmac during the announcement of GE15 results. All parties may just unite to say enough with Mahathir.

After all the purging at the GLCs to appease Mahathir and Daim, the position of the new management and members of the Board of Directors will be in limbo.

In organisations such as Tabung Haji, Felda and Khazanah where the removal have been swift, vengeful and bordering on illogical, anything could happen. The victims could even return to prey. That is another side to the politics.

Trump giving Mahathir ideas ....

Dow Jones Industrial Index closed 340 points up on Friday. It is up for the week from last Friday's 25,042 points Monday to close the week at 25,883 points.

Investor's Business Daily attributed the rise due to optimism over US-China Trade talk, but Market Watch brief reported described "negotiators remained deadlocked over key issues" to end the talk in Beijing. It will resume next week in Washington.

Such significant rise could not have been triggered by economics or business events, as economist and analyst keep a close watch and constantly update their analysis and forecast with new announced data. Strong version of market efficient would have built-in the market prices with any probable events to come.

Yesterday's significant rise could only have come from a political event, and something not within expectation. Market Watch reported:
"U.S. political tensions were swinging back into focus for investors. Trump declared a national emergency to secure additional funding for the wall on the southern border, potentially setting him up for a showdown with Congress."
If DJIA received well US President Donald Trump move to by-pass Congress to get the money needed to "build the wall!", then it is giving the old gerontocrasy leader, Mahathir ideas.

Trump is digging deep to pay for a big item the heavily indebted US could ill afford.

The Wall should have wean on its political value by now, two years after the Presidential election. Trump could typically do blame games on China, state of global economy, Democrats, a small country in South East Asia called Malaysia, even join the chorus of Tun Dr Mahathir and Lim Guan Eng to blame it on 1MDB and Dato' Najib, and emulate Empress Dowagers and gang at Tabung Haji to blame and do a media blitz of police reports against previous management.

However, Trump did not and insisted on delivering this one election promise to build the damn wall.

Washinton Post reported:
Trump declares national emergency on southern border in bid to build wall

By Damian Paletta, Mike DeBonis, John Wagner
February 15, 2019 at 8:28 PM

President Trump declared a national emergency to build a border wall on Feb. 15. Here's what you missed. (Taylor Turner/The Washington Post)
President Trump on Friday declared the situation on the southern border of the United States to be a national emergency, catapulting the country into uncertain legal and political battles as he seeks to fulfill a campaign promise that eluded him for two years.

He made the designation in an attempt to redirect taxpayer money from other accounts and use it to erect more than 230 miles of barriers along the U.S.-Mexico border. But Trump anticipates a flurry of legal challenges that will eventually be decided by the Supreme Court.

Democrats are trying to paint the action as evidence of a rogue president who has finally gone too far, and they vowed to stop him.

Trump’s announcement capped a frenetic two-month period that included the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, at 35 days; the reemergence of Democrats as a political force; and a Republican Party caught between taking signals from Trump and bucking his unconventional impulses. It also begins a new phase of his presidency that will test the separation of powers, as he sidesteps Congress despite Republicans urging restraint.

During a 50-minute, meandering Rose Garden news conference, Trump offered little empirical evidence to back up his assertion that there was a crisis on the border requiring an extraordinary response. Instead, he invoked hyperbolic, campaign-style rhetoric about lawlessness that he said only walls could suitably address.

“We’re talking about an invasion of our country with drugs, with human traffickers, with all types of criminals and gangs,” he said. He used the word “invasion” seven times.

He later said the emergency declaration wasn’t urgent but rather expedient, as it would help him build a wall more quickly than Congress would allow.

“I didn’t need to do this, but I’d rather do it much faster,” he said.

Democrats and the American Civil Liberties Union mapped out the ways they would try to block Trump’s wall. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said he would summon White House counsel Pat Cipollone to Capitol Hill to explain the White House’s rationale.

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, a Democrat, said he planned to work with other states to take legal action against the White House.

The ACLU said it was preparing a lawsuit of its own, arguing that Trump cannot legally redirect taxpayer money during an “emergency” unless it’s for military construction projects that support the armed forces. Friday afternoon, the advocacy group Public Citizen filed a suit in U.S. District Court in Washington, seeking to block Trump’s declaration on behalf of Texas landowners and an environmental group.

Democrats and several Republicans predicted a two-pronged response to the declaration: one, having Congress vote to reject it in the coming weeks, and two, suing Trump — or at least aiding other parties that attempt to intervene.

“The president’s actions clearly violate the Congress’s exclusive power of the purse, which our Founders enshrined in the Constitution,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) said in a statement. “The Congress will defend our constitutional authorities in the Congress, in the Courts, and in the public, using every remedy available.”

Most notably, Pelosi and Schumer said, “We call upon our Republican colleagues to join us to defend the Constitution.”

Republicans are divided over Trump’s declaration, with many unnerved by what they see as an executive power grab while others are unwilling to challenge the president ahead of 2020 presidential and congressional elections.

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), who faces a reelection race next year, suggested that it would be hypocritical for Republicans to support the emergency declaration after criticizing President Barack Obama for “executive overreach,” and he suggested that future Democratic presidents might follow Trump’s precedent.

Tillis described a future “President Bernie Sanders declaring a national emergency to implement the radical Green New Deal” or a “President Elizabeth Warren declaring a national emergency to shut down banks and take over the nation’s financial institutions.”

“I don’t believe in situational principles,” he said.

Other Republicans lodged an even more straightforward objection: Declaring a national emergency might prompt Trump to shift funds from other desperately needed projects.

Rep. Mac Thornberry (Tex.), the top Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, warned against tapping Defense Department and military construction accounts to build the wall.

“Doing so would have detrimental consequences for our troops,” he said in a Thursday statement.

“And it would undercut one of the most significant accomplishments of the last two years — beginning to repair and rebuild our military. I hope that the president will pursue other options.”

The issue was more than a constitutional discussion for Republicans. Democrats signaled that they would proceed with a privileged resolution of disapproval that would force GOP lawmakers to either vote for Trump’s wall or oppose his emergency claim — with certain political repercussions.

By Friday afternoon, Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Tex.) said he had gathered more than 60 co-sponsors for the resolution.

Such a measure would pass in the Democratic-controlled House, and more than enough Republicans could break ranks to ensure its Senate passage. But Trump is certain to veto the resolution, and Congress probably couldn’t muster enough votes to override a veto.

Democratic legislative staffers huddled on Capitol Hill at 2 p.m. Friday, shortly after the White House issued its proclamation. According to a senior Democratic aide, no decisions have been made on how Congress will proceed with a formal measure of disapproval, but House and Senate leaders are expected to move carefully to win over as many Republicans as possible.

The more serious threat to Trump’s move could be litigation, with numerous parties exploring legal challenges — including Democratic House leaders who have been examining various options for months.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.) said Thursday that he did not consider an emergency declaration to be “a practical solution” for Trump because litigation could keep any potential wall funding on hold for months or years while the lawsuits resolve themselves.

“I thought there were other, better alternatives,” he said.

White House officials want to approve projects and reallocate money as quickly as possible, but no timeline has been given.

Part of their strategy is to try to use eminent domain to seize private property along the border, particularly in Texas, where they want to install parts of the barrier. This is expected to open another round of legal challenges from private landowners.

Other parts of the approach are equally unclear. White House officials have not said, for example, how they plan to solicit bids on the projects or what type of process they will follow. Congressional Democrats and some state leaders, meanwhile, have vowed to try to stop the work before it can even begin.

Trump has long asserted that the United States is full of rapists, murderers and other violent criminals who enter illegally from Mexico, and he has pledged to address the situation by building a wall. Government data, though, shows that attempted border crossings remain near 40-year lows and that drug traffickers primarily attempt to smuggle hard narcotics through ports of entry, not through gaps between border barriers, as Trump has suggested.

The biggest challenge on the border in recent years has been a surge of families seeking to cross into the United States and claim asylum, overwhelming border agents and U.S. facilities.

White House officials plan to use $8 billion to build new fencing that they believe will block or discourage a wide range of immigrants.

Of that money, $1.375 billion was approved by Congress on Thursday, and it can be used for 55 miles of “pedestrian fencing” in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.

The White House plans to use $600 million from the Treasury Department’s forfeiture funds account, which contains money seized by the federal government from a range of illicit activities.

An additional $2.5 billion would be redirected from a Pentagon program for countering drug activities, and a final $3.6 billion would be moved from military construction accounts. It’s that final pot of money that White House officials said required the national emergency declaration, as the White House is generally barred from moving money from one account to another without congressional approval.

Trump promised during the 2016 campaign to build a border wall and have Mexico finance it. Since becoming president, he has insisted instead that the money come from U.S. taxpayers.

White House officials said that more than 50 national emergencies have been declared since the 1970s, attempting to rebut concerns that Trump was outside his authority in taking this step.

“This is authority given to the president in law already,” said acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney. “It’s not as if he just didn’t get what he wanted, so he’s waving a magic wand and taking a bunch of money.”

But some presidential historians said Trump’s move was unusual, in part because he stopped short of describing how it would ameliorate a situation that he hasn’t precisely defined. White House officials on Friday wouldn’t disclose where the new border barriers would be placed.

Presidents have taken extraordinary steps before, at times invoking crises facing the United States. Abraham Lincoln suspended the writ of habeas corpus during the Civil War in 1861, making it easier to arrest someone without bringing the individual before a judge.

President Harry Truman tried to nationalize the steel industry in the 1950s amid tensions brought by the Korean War; he was rebuked by the Supreme Court.

Presidential scholars said Trump’s move on Friday, though extreme in its rhetoric, will be viewed much differently, even if he attempts to use the National Emergencies Act of 1976 to buttress his case. That’s because Trump isn’t responding to a crisis that’s evident to the American people but is instead taking action after Congress rejected his funding request for the past two years.

“It shrinks the importance of Congress even more,” said Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian. “It is a wild-eyed imperial presidency.”

In his Rose Garden remarks, Trump suggested that he had already thought through the legal minefield that his decision was likely to traverse. He predicted that lower-court judges and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit would probably rule against him before the administration ultimately prevailed.

“We will have a national emergency, and we will then be sued, and they will sue us in the 9th Circuit, even though it shouldn’t be there, and we will possibly get a bad ruling and then we’ll get another bad ruling and then we’ll end up in the Supreme Court, and hopefully we will get a fair shake,” he said.

As part of the national emergency declaration, Trump signed a $333 billion spending bill that funds many government operations through September. This averted a government shutdown that would have begun Saturday.

Mahathir to emulate Trump

Trump has dug deep to get his way to win the Presidential election and many other situation but most are rhetorical. This time he means it to get his way. For further understanding of what power the US President as, read The Atlantic's The Alarming Scope of the President's Emergency Powers.

Here in Malaysia, new government under former PM#7 is facing endless attack from opposition and public for not just their inability to deliver on their promises but announced they are not going to deliver it by citing debt, 1MDB and Dato Najib as blame.

Despite failing even to imprisoned Najib and more so, the low hanging fruit case of SRC looks in a mess, Mahathir face another problem to deliver on the promises. His Minister of Finance and key adviser, Tony Pua failed miserably.

The unqualified accountant narrowed his understanding of fiscal management to that of a bean counter. The economic graduate and Oxford PPE adviser just failed to understand the economic implication of his budgeting and policies.

The high spending tendency Mahathir could not even get a RM7 million requested budget for a program but only limited to RM2 million.

Mahathir initiated two commitee - the Debt Rationalisation Commitee and NEAC 2.0 to take charge of the situation but Guan Eng may not cooperate. He has his socialistic agenda interwoven with chauvanistic bias.

At the same time, his moves indicate he through corporate cronies are pursuing government assets linked to Bumiputera institutions and agenda such as Tabung Haji's TRX land, listing of Petronas, and annual department store sales of Felda and FGV.

It is only in the way of Tun Daim. The presumption is he is back to his old appetite for privatisation again. One will only get to know after it has happened in the same manner RM19.9 billion of Tabung Haji asset were "robbed" out of the Islamic fund into Lim Guan Eng's control.

If Daim has no such interest as his focus is more on the weekly trips to do dialysis and bringing up his children from fourth wife, Naemah Khalid, Mahathir could talk term with Guan Eng. Similar to the robbers in  distributing their loot in a cave in P Ramles movie, "One for you, one for me, Two for you and two for me ... kepala bapal engkau, kepala bapak aku ...."

That could woe DAP and their vote in the event of Anwar putting up a motion of no confidence in Parliament. A financially fulfilled DAP leaders and party support could give him the leeway he wanted.

As far as governance, Trump is truly giving Mahathir ideas. He has no idea of how to rule the country democratically. It is something in his alley. In the last general election, Mahathir's campaign was a page from Trump's shock and awe campaign strategy.

Najib may have declared the end of the Emergency Ordinance that was in unnecessarily extended from PM#4's reign of terror and pilfrige to justify the use of "draconian" laws such as ISA, Printing Press Act, Right to Assembly, etc, during peaceful time.

Mahathir could reinstate it. Tommy Thomas has announced SOSMA, POTA, and those laws in he same time zone with civil liberty and human rights will not be repealed. All Mahathir need now is to come up with similar excuses to what Trump could cook up.

Judicairy pre-emptive move?

The court may be a bit of constraint now that Court of Appeal Judge Datuk Dr Hamid Sultan Abu Backer had put up the unexpected too. He submitted a 65-pages court paper in support of an application by Karpal Singh's daughter, Sangeet Kaur.

Sanjeet called on the Chief Justice to address on the allegations and government to look into the misconduct of top judges and judicial  interferences in the past.

NGO, Lawyers for Liberty claimed to have more evidences and seriously consider an RCI. NST reported the Judiciary, represented by the office of the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court made a police report. MACC will meet Judge Hamid over the allegations.

Many businessmen, and political conservatives would be bullish should Mahathir emulate Trump and his narrative for politics and discourse be limited to once every five year for general election. Will Bursa's CI to jump too?

Time to know the truth about Tabung Haji too

It is most welcoming that BEBASnews.my finally state their position on Tabung Haji (TH) with this piece entitled "Tiba masanya kita tahu hakikat Tabung Haji" (It's time we know the truth of Tabung Haji).

It is written by an unknown Admin and not as melancholic as their earlier piece and also another one to stop politicising, "Cukup-cukuplak jadikan TH bahan politik", both by 24-year economic writer Mowardi Mahmud.

Though agreeable and it's the intention to be specific and technical, Mowardi argument to seek for evidence was not reflected in any criticism of the media blitz by current management which borders on unlawful practise, used to shame previous management for merely a yet to be substantiated police report.

Dato Zukri and Dato Zaiton Hassan should remember of the police reports they orchestrated in the past which both police and MACC found nothing wrong.

For lack of a better issue to raise and evading documented allegation by Sabahkini2, Mowardi trapped himself to nitpick on this blog for mentioning in passing 'bank run'.

Actually, it was mentioned first by the Pakatan Harapan side, in which Mowardi has convenienty switch side to root for.

The Star team, in support of current government, featured Tabung Haji at end of December prior to passing over RM19.9 billion of TH lucrative assets to Lim Guan Eng-controlled Ministry on December 28, 2018, mentioned 'bank run' in their The Star article on December 11, 2018.

Then Mowari resorted to the most un-economic argument to imply this blog as bordering on racial politics.

If Lim Guan Eng-controlled Ministry is not a fact, and considered racist, then BEBASnews.my owner, Mahathirist Dato Zaini Hassan has succumbed to DAP-esque political propaganda?

Art of Corporate PR

It is obvious and undeniable that BEBASnews.my is the social media mouthpiece of Datin Wan Norhiyati Wan Ibrahim, personal PR for Zukri and Zaiton.

The latest from them have to be combed throughly. Yati will likely not trust this blog and so do we of corporate public relation, generally.

To quote from a former economic writer for The Mole, Salahuddin bin Hisham in his defense of TH in February 2018, the art of corporate public relation is the art of not telling the truth or bordering on lies:
THERE is no problem with anyone having a cynical or critical attitude towards any announcement coming from government-linked institutions or companies.

It puts these executives on their toes, gives the other side of a story, and uncovers any attempt to cover-up wrongdoing or poor performance. Corporate public relations has a tendency to disclose as little as possible and has made an art of throwing big words to hide any shortcomings.

However, it is preposterous for a senior person to spread false and unsubstantiated accusations in his Facebook of Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH) operating Ponzi scheme  – somewhat like a Pak Man Telo get-rich quick scheme in the late 1980s through 1990s.
Apparently, few former executives of TH - not the one being allegedly vexatiously litigated - called in and questioned the existence of March 2018 meeting at Cyberjaya claimed by BEBASnews.my.

It is certainly puzzling as it happenned before BEBASnews.my existed and current management team joined TH.

Who was feeding a not quite confirmed source?

TH social media spokesman got their fact wrong

Another point is BEBASnews.my got their facts wrong.

In November 2018, Minister-in-charge of TH, Dato Dr Jamil Khir mentioned the cost then was RM22,450 and not as wrecklessly presumed by the Admin for the current cost of RM22,900 as well as for the past.

They may refer to this January 28th 2018 article by The Mole, which revealed a 10 year cost history.

Two strikes is not out yet.

True, it is not old news and Salahuddin wrote another piece after GE14, to tell the new government that they will have to deal with the subsidy eventually. He mentioned also the figure of RM22,450 per person.

Dato Zukri, Yati and Empress Dowager should do something to prepare a police report and do media blitz against "Abang" Jamil. Its another petty issue that is an opportunity to shame not only previous management but up to the previous Minister.

BEBASnews.my claimed their source said the subsidy TH will have to bear will be RM400 million a year.

Wait ... assume 30,000 a year of pilgrim and subsidy is half at aproximately RM10,000 per pilgrim, is that not RM300 million?

Lets not call it as strike three yet. However, with facts already wrong, it can be a turn-off to read the rest of the official social media piece.

The writer claimed the previous BN government had no political will to tell it like it is.

Khalwat defending Mu-jahat has no political will too!

Apparently, the PH Minister-in-charge, Mujahid Yusof has no political will to say TH will remove the subsidy as per the leaked internal memo by a corporate comm manager.

She would not have issued that memo for all department to prepare for an upcoming removal subsidy and higher cost of Haj had it there not been a prior clearance or instruction by Mujahid and new management.

Another vexatious litigation in the making?

The BEBASnew.my writer attempted to link the lack of political will to the previous BN government for not facing up the fact that TH could not give out dividend as the asset is below liability level.

The gung-ho manner of the writer somehow is telling as to who wrote it. Nevertheless, he is too much a political writer and not able to get out of it.

Quite sure, he is technically unaware of the latest happening that will prove his argument to be technically wrong.

Where is the impairment?

He lied for the Empress Dowagers!

In fact, the opinion of PWC Excutive Chairman, Dato Faiz Azmi, who is related one of the Empress Dowagers and Deputy President in an NGO to another, based on FRISC 14, that form the basis of BEBASnews.my presumption, is wrong!

EPF has announced a bumper of a dividend. The unqualified accountant and failed economics Finance Minister is in his usual bragging as to how good he is. ]

The likes of BEBASnew.my will likely chew the same line of political rhetorics as The Malaysian Reserve.

MR is another Mahathirist media who put up Mahathir face in the frontpage for its first issue. BEBASnews.my permenently have Mahathir's first on its masthead as symbol of permanent allegiance. They claimed it is proof of robust economy.

It is mind boggling that they could provide such dividend if similar of impairment policy as TH had to do and forced upon by PWC. EPF claimed equity was main contributor for 2018.

Chartered Accountant and Facebooker Azmi Arshad said in his FB that EPF accounting policy does not require impairment. To quote:
Then how did EPF manage to declare the "extraordinary" dividend that "exceeded expectations" despite the adverse economic circumstances, both due to external factors as well as due to PH's mismanagement?

Very simple. Here is another statement in the EPF press release which Lim Guan Eng conveniently failed to mention while bragging about the "extraordinary" dividend:

"... beginning 1 January 2018.... the EPF will NO LONGER RECOGNISE ANY IMPAIRMENT on its listed equity holdings."

Why didn't Lim Guan Eng mention this? Because without this new accounting treatment, EPF would not have been able to declare a "healthy" and "extraordinary" dividend.

Instead he is now claiming credit for a "healthy" and "extraordinary" dividend and ridiculously claiming that it is proof the economy is healthy.

In truth, the "extraordinariness" of the dividend was due to EPF NO LONGER RECOGNISING ANY IMPAIRMENT IN THEIR LISTED EQUITY HOLDINGS.

Lim Guan Eng is an extraordinary liar.
To tone down Azmi, both practise of EPF and TH was to give out dividend or Hibah based strictly on the the performance of the year in question and not current positionn of their equity for subsequent year.

However, a relative of Empress Dowager, Datok Norshamsiah Yunos and Deputy President to Empress Dowager, Dato Zaiton Hassan at MyPac tried to be clever:

PwC: TH didn’t make impairment on decline in investments’ value

Tuesday, 11 Dec 2018

By Martin Carvalho, Hemananthani Sivanandam, Tarrence Tan, Tee Lin Say, Loh Foon Fong, Yimie Yong, Mei Mei Chu,  and Julianne De Souza

PETALING JAYA: Lembaga Tabung Haji’s (TH) 2017 financial statements have been overstated mainly because the pilgrims fund did not make impairments on significant decline in value of its investments, a review of its financial position shows.

The fund should be making a RM1.43bil loss in 2017 instead of a RM3.41bil profit as reported in its annual report 2017, according to the review conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Impairment is an accounting principle describing a permanent reduction in the value of a company’s assets.

The RM3.41bil profit did not include the impairment loss on available-for-sale (AFS) equity investments of RM4.26bil, impairment loss on AFS debt security instruments of RM7mil and other adjustments of RM4.85bil.

Read on in The Star HERE.
Question: Did Empress Dowager bombed out in her trip to the Auditor General office?

We do need stupid government supporters with fake degrees and unschooled

In a prevous posting, BEBASnews.my was warned:
On TH third police report on illegal hibah, Mowardi should scrutinise new management with regards to impairments and exceptions they used to justify the upcoming hibah announcement that could be illegal and inconsistent with their allegation of TH's 2017 hibah.
Get specific and technical. Then, "bebas" journalism and freedom of the press is truly towards truth, justice and nationbuilding for alif, ba, ta and not defend a "pencuri, penyamun dan perompak".
There are more from where it came from. Another hint as to not embarass yourself:
Read the Tabung Haji Act 1995 cover to cover, line by line, and not rely totally on what Yati feed you, dummy!
If you can't get your facts right, pencen lagi baik!

BR1M/BSH: Is DAP sabotaging PPBM campaign?

$
0

Few days ago, it was heard from sources involved in PPBM campaign that Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is not happy with the BR1M announced by Lim Guan Eng for unmarried youth.

Oppss... Sorry, its rebranded as Bantuan Sara Hidup to justify their promise to abolish BR1M and cleanse it of the element of bribery. Preesumably, the new form but same substance is Halal and no more smeared by political populism.

Muhyiddin said they will appeal to Minister of Finance to increase the amount. It only indicate the announcement does not help their campaign.

This is important for PPBM campaign to attract young voters in Semenyih. If so, PPBM's Minister of Education should announce abolishing PTPTN as promised in PH's GE14 Manifesto.

Certainly, RM100 a year of BSH is ridiculously too low and insignificant.

Its not worth going through the paperwork, queue and trip going to and from government offices. Imagine the case for youth of the interiors of Sabah and Sarawak.

Dato' Najib promised BR1M for unmarried youth was RM650 per year for 2019 in BN Manifesto.

Apparently, the allowance due to Felda settlers already announced was still held back payment by Guan Eng. What hope do Pakatan Hancing have to deliver on their BSH promise?

The media release by Guan Eng:

Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH) 2019 Sebanyak RM100 Untuk Golongan Bujang

Selasa, Feb 19 2019

SIARAN MEDIA
KEMENTERIAN KEWANGAN MALAYSIA

Bet the DAP people must be giggling to Muhyiddin's reaction.

One observer following Lim Kit Siang's campaign in Semenyih at a New Village felt he was subtly rooting for Uncle Kentang, the Batu Pahat born and Puchong based philanthropist.

If he runs under BN or PH flag, he could be a winner.

It is not so obvious thus the feeling or personal analysis of the observer is subjective. However, the quarrel between Tun Dr Mahathir and Lim Guan Eng is for real and already out in the open.

The BSH announcement is Guan Eng's reluctance to entertain old school UMNO's version of social justice prescribed by PPBM.

Guan Eng believes in his own interpretation of socialism (notice DAPSY stand for DAP Socialist Youth) and equality ala Malaysian Malaysia along Chinese capitalism.

Allocation for private Chinese and Tamil schools vis-a-vis government school is a case in point.

Both BR1M and BSH are handouts and skewed to benefit Malays and Bumiputera. It is not deemed as socialist-ically fair to Guan Eng.

Furthermore. DAP is not supportive to strengthening PPBM's political position.

Anwar and Guan Eng denied attempt to topple the PM, but Johor DAP leader, Boo Cheng Hau call for Mahathir's resignation cannot be any louder a message.

This morning, banners calling for Mahathir's resignation were spotted at Jalan Riong, KL near NST office and other spots in KL.

It could be put up by staunch Anwar supporter which one could suspect to be PKR MP for Pantai. Or it could be done by UMNO to instigate internal quarrel within PH.

On Monday, PH was to have their Presidential Council meeting. It is believed that Anwar wanted the meeting. However. Mahathir evaded the confrontation by citing the Semenyih by-election.

Increasingly, the loud and liberal NGOs are disappointed with Mahathir and see him as the stumbling block to their reform agenda. However, the political quarrel is becoming clearer that it is Mahathir vs Guan Eng than Mahathir vs Anwar.

Off course, Mahathir's preference is Azmin. But can he contribute the number when Mahathir's theme is Malay and Bumiputera unity?

In turn, Guan Eng will need Najib to fight Mahathir. How will that happen?
