Media screw-up at Lahad Datu

If it is Malaysiakini, it can only be expected.

As a George Soros funded organisation assigned to create chaos and disharmony in this country in order to execute their plan for a regime change and then bring in George to buy things for cheap like what he did it Russia, that is fine.

But, why is the mainstream media (MSM) also misbehaving?

Whatever their excuse, they should be more selective in releasing stories from Lahad Datu. They are reporting without understanding the implication of what they are doing.

Heck ... this is a crisis. It is not some wildlife adventure tour of Danum Valley.

Pardon... allow moi a correction.

It is not fine for Malaysiakini to do as they please.

Only that it is expected of Malaysiakini to not care for national and security interest but to agitate the public and create doubt on the ability of the security personnel.

Most of these duckers would not dare to even join the reservist like what Khairy did. MINDEF have been trying so hard to get the Steven Gans and Prema Chandrans to join the military but with minimal success. They are just ....

Perhaps other commentators can express it better.

With Malaysiakini and the likes hanging around Lahad Datu, what the duck is the verbally incompetent IGP allowing them to hang around Lahad Datu.

It is not his job to be fighting for freedom of the press or information.

Who cares if there is an information blackout? More so, why should police or army ducking care Malaysiakini is being blacked out of information?

This is crisis management, a war ... democrasy and all those freedom of press, information, speech  and whatcamacallit can be flushed down the toilet bowl.

What so positive and useful about Malaysiakini's reporting in helping the crisis? They have and will continue to create unnecessary problems by their disinformation and misinformation.

This is a security mission and it needs to be completed first.

The ducking truth can be told later. By then, screw whoever you wish to screw.

The last thing one should do is to give out sensationalise information with gruesome pictures of dead bodies and stories of policemen and servicemen mutilated to quench the press thirst for sensationalism.

Even international media are selective on release of such pictures. They know there are people out there having dinner while watching the evening news!

The IGP should be most concern with his job and men then be bothered over the press.

Why must he be spending so much time doing few press conferences daily in Lahad Datu? Let a spokesmen at Bukit Aman or MINDEF do it. All the press is there. Release only allowed pictures.

Tak payah banyak wartawan menyibuk di Lahad Datu.

And, whatever he need to speak, don't duck up on his facts. How can he fumble on the profile of the 5 casualities (later 6) at Semporna. It is like he does not know his own men!

He was corrected by bloggers and media. Shame ...

Dato Hishamuddin may have made a fool of himself in the past as a Menteri Amaran Dalam Negeri but by the look of things, IGP may have wrongly briefed and made him look foolish.

But, who asked him to extend his retirement? Do us a favour and ask him to check-in into some hospital and submit his retirement.

Only the crooked Rosli Dahalan, kingpin Dato Ramli Yusof, opportunistic Tan Sri Robert Phang, former beggar Dato Dr Din Merican and the strings of gangsters they protect appreciate this lembik IGP.

Some know nuts in white Alphard wrongly advised PM on bloggers work

Yes ... no need to remind.

This is not the time to hit at each other. It is the time to be united. It is a time to support our forces.

That is being done by bloggers and media by disseminating information and countering by defending or counter-attacking irresponsible statements by opposition.

But, some know nuts in a white Alphard could tell PM that bloggers are not effective.

Duck you! Don't talk if you do not know the cyber ground and battlefield. It is tough act of fighting back from a weakened position from us shooting our own feet.

Initially, some bloggers did got carried away with their overzealousness to be newsbreaker. It is perhaps an opportunity to move up the rankings. That was only for a shortwhile till an SMS request was spreading to seek them to be more judicous.

Now the real problem and it is so obvious today.

What the duck is the MSM doing? Maybe they do not realised it but they are giving away military sensitive information.

For instance, New Straits Times is happily telling the world the use of jet fighters and divulging of military positions.

Berita Harian also the same as piece title.

Why did BH need to highlight jet fighters being used? Because it is sensational.

The Star also tagged along without thinking. But maybe too few of their people are in the military to understand.

There was a lot more details revealed in their videos and reports.

Utusan Malaysia was happily showing off their photos without understanding it's implication. Thanks for the book yesterday but this is about national security.

The frontpage today is sensational.

They are showing to the enemy that they are moving in small group of three or four soldiers.

This picture revealed our checkpoint and indicate the number of personnel at each checkpoint. Not to mention the identity of our servicemen. What if the Sulu intruders could kidnap and blackmail his family back home?

This picture shows suspects and collaborators rounded up. Although faces are blurred, what if the enemy is able to predict who the captured person is?

This picture revealed amoured vehicle brought in. However, it is helping the enemy prepare for the eventuality of these armoured vehicle being used. They may have ran to areas where these vehicle are not accessible. Thanks photographers, bijak ....!

Good ... reveal more.

This one revealed PASKAL is covering the shoreline in tugboat. Any military men can size up what is PASKAL and their ability and limitations.

At one time, it was reported what battalion being deployed.

Sorry for the language but gilalah kau orang ... The enemy knows which battalion and strength is stationed. It is like opening up our other positions.

This idiot here revealed a chronological order of our operation and told the world we used our Hawks and F-18 to pursue a bunch of 200 guerilla fighters.

The jet fighters and all those asset have a military strategy and objective, BUT let's not reveal it yet. Perhaps once it is all over.

The police and army are working fine. They have all the information.

The communication maybe, to be polite about it, less than perfect. But they have readied themselves with a plan long ahead.

Due to the sensitivity and delicate situation, they just cannot be rambo-like in the manner of unthinking macho American military cowboys. That is why it takes some time. Don't listen to Anwar Ibrahim. He is stabbing us from behind.

See what the press people and their yearning for press freedom have done. To understand the implications for their unthinking act to be sensational and grabbing attention, see below:

They have invited outsiders and sympathisers to interfere. Outsiders and sympathisers do not know a ducking thing about the white flag trick and bodies of police mutilated.

These outsiders and sympathisers made comments while sitting in their armchair with a bag of potato chip watching CNN. He should be morre concerned with Palestime and Rohingya.

They will not suffer from a protracted "war."

The press could be jeopardising military operation and endangering the lives of our police and army personnel out of their ignorance.

And, Ng Yen Yen ... do shut up and not say something as stupid as denying there will be no safety issue for  Sabah tourist.

Siapa mahu percaya kalau lu cakap sekarang? Bodoh punya Menteri!

For heaven sake, Tan Sri Ismail ... please kick all those nuisance 50 reporters at Lahad Datu out and stream information only through Bernama.

They maybe be slow and make Dato Dr Rais Yatim look useful but information coming out of Lahad Datu must be controlled.

Take away all handphones if necessary. Some military and police maybe leaking information. If there is a need to communicate, find some other ways.  Perhaps, limit the numbers used and monitor they calls coming in and out

Jam the airwaves so that these intruders can't communicate.

This is a security crisis.

In a crisis management, why should the police and army gives a ducking care if the media news are boring. Save the excitement for after the mission is completed and successful.

Ignore the flank and shoot own feet

One can't keep attacking like Manchester United and end up losing to Real Madrid because of dumb defensive own goal error. Be mindful of one's defense. Even if one has a solid defense in the centre, watch one's flank.

The flank attack by Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim should have been expected. The writing is on the wall but many UMNO people are too selfish and some leaders are too dumb to understand that our supporters may have a price. Then there are those non partisan ones working against Anwar with personal or troubling issues too.

UMNO was complacent with the recent renewed confidence that it cost their own feet for not covering the flanks. Hopefully it does not grow back to their arrogant ways of the past in which the pinnacle was during the era of Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Anwar had build up a war chest which I Files recently revealed was accumulated through oil and gas through collaboration with his MCKK buddies in Petronas. See it in the You Tube.

Otherwise, how could someone without a job and just out of prison could build a highly securred new home in Segambut that cost some RM7 million.

Lucky that Saiful gave a swift and smart response so it might not catch on yet. It is easily debunked.

But one is talking of the involvement of Dato Johari Abdul and his kampong style BTN propaganda. One can debunked but he may convince the rural folks.

Be prepared for more such gimmick as one move closer to general election.

UMNO should have expected such tricks from Anwar. He maybe acquited by the court but not by the court of public opinion. The public still believe he is a sodomite. PAS members and leaders believe he bumb young boys arse. Karpal Singh and Mat Sabu has long been convinced that he is a homosexual.

Anwar will do anything to clear his name. Once he become PM (if ever), he will rewrite history of himself first before anything else.

If Dato Yusof, who was the chief prosecutor of the case can be his lawyer upon retirement, what else he is willing to do. Even womaniser Tamrin Tun Ghaffar believe Anwar was not a sodomiser. How does he know when he is not academically qualified to enter MCKK?

There jerks in this building who do not think strategically
The problem is there are many jerks in UMNO management do not think strategically and tactically.

Many are the types that rather spend on some stupid launching event or petty course than say a strategic but simple idea of blue-ing up the streets and homes with BN flags or stickers.

They would rather have irrelevant events to be attended by the converted so that some friendly suppliers and caterers event contractors can  make a living than spend money that is unseen but highly effective political manouvering.

To spend some money tactically so that friendly parties are not bought over or help the cause of friendly parties, their brains just can't compute. Because there is no publicity for them, they do not want to do.

The latest statement by Saiful's father, Azlan is such a case. Not that they do not know that his father was a weak link in the Saiful episode. Don't tell us that they are not aware Anwar's men have been trying to get to Saiful's family for years.

Any, one must read this by blogger RBF Online in national language. Tak tahu baca melayu, nasib lah ... See below:

Gomo terus naik angin satu badan marahkan saya kerana bercakap begitu.

Selepas lima tahun baru kau sedar ? Jangan kelentonglah Azlan.....

"Demi anak saya, saya merayu agar pihak Peguam Negara memfailkan rayuan.

Apakah dia ingat orang lain beraya bersamanya ?

RBF is still polite.

But, we are not going to hold back. From a strategic and tactical aspect, it is just stupid of UMNO leaders to not think of this possibility. It is particularly so when they are aware of it.

Many more have been approached. There were also many legal cases which UMNO did not help their own cause. However, some selfish, insensitive and stupid UMNO leaders in the party management just not bother and allow our own feet to be shot at.

Leaders like this, we do not need!

Chameleon in Australia

If you thought Saiful's father turnaround statement was big news, then check this another turnaround by Anwar. Not actually a turnaround but his words was to please the Australian.

It is typical of Anwar to please the audience he is speaking to especially when he needs the support of Australian to accuse the general election as dirty and fraudulent after his expected lost.

Anwar can't say NO.

So he said he is not so much as anti Lynas but subject to blah blah blah ... he is fine and supportive.

However, all those actions he wants to do and other precautionary and pre-emptive actions have been taken by Lynas and the local authorities

Lynas is DAP's baby to make entry into Pahang. It was one of the main issue raised in the so-called NGO driven Himpunan Rakyat 112. They are adamant to go against Lynas irrespective of the reasons put forward.

Since green was the anti Lynas calling colour, let's go green too. Don't call it turnaround in position or change of stance, but go green and follow The Economist description of Anwar as Chameleon.

Anyway let's not get too loud in discussing this issue. It could be another of the many diversion he employed to detour attention from Lahad Datu incursion that is all negative to him.

Anti Lynas

Lynas is the issue championed by those DAP supporters disguised in green coloured T shirt and have been rampaging into Gebeng, Kuantan, Raub and Pengerang.

They ignored reasons to demand for removal of the Gebeng's Lynas rare earth plant despite the plant being  verified as safe by independent experts and authorities.

Around the country they went to lie to the public by accusing rare earth is radioactive. Basic periodic table will show it is not.  But they insist they are right with all sort of scientific claim

When they appeared before a public hearing by the Parlimentary Select Committee (which opposition members like Tian Chua boycott to avoid the embarassment of the truth), they can't give any expert name or reference to their claims on the Gebeng plant.

Since failing in Gebeng, they have failed and is being sued by the Australian owned gold mine and making ruckus with Salahuddin Ayub of PAS at Pengerang, Johor.

But, what are they going to say when Anwar made his trademark chameleon words in Australia.

Below is the report from smh.com.au:

Rare earths move for Anwar, but only if proved safe

LINDSAY MURDOCH March 07, 2013

Malaysia's Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim has pledged to back Australian miner Lynas operating a controversial rare earths processing plant, if a new public inquiry proves it to be safe.

Earlier he had demanded the plant's closure.

Dr Anwar confirmed that if he won power, he would fast-track the inquiry but until then he would move quickly to shut the plant near the coastal town of Kuantan, 194 kilometres north-east of Kuala Lumpur.

"I am not prepared to risk the safety of people in and around Kuantan," he said, adding he was not anti-development.

Analysts say that in elections due to be called within weeks Dr Anwar's three-party opposition alliance has a chance of toppling the Barisan Nasional coalition government that has ruled Malaysia since the country gained independence from Britain 55 years ago.

The government has backed the $US800 million ($A782 million) plant, built to process rare earths from Lynas' Mount Weld mine in Western Australia, saying it complies with Malaysian and international laws and standards.

But the plant has faced strong opposition from activists in a group called Save Malaysia Stop Lynas (SMSL), which has drawn nationwide support through internet and social media campaigns and street protests.

The clash is set to be a key issue in the most closely fought election in Malaysia's history.

Dr Anwar said in an interview he has "reason to believe" the concerns of many people about environmental consequences of the plant, built in a swampy area next to a tidal river, about three kilometres from the South China Sea.

He said he did not trust government agencies that approved the plant because of reported birth defects and leukaemia among residents near a rare earths refinery built by Japan's Mitsubishi in Malaysia's Perak state 1982, which has since closed.

But a spokesman for Sydney-based Lynas said the Perak plant used waste from tin mining as its raw material, which contained high levels of thorium, the source of high levels of radiation.

The Lynas process was different. "By all international standards, the Lynas raw material is classified as safe, non-toxic and non-hazardous," he said.

Dr Anwar said he would offer the company and others the opportunity to testify before any inquiry.

He would also seek to involve world experts on rare earths that are used to make high-tech products such as smartphones, iPods, flat-screen televisions, hybrid cars and missiles. "If Lynas can come out with a convincing argument there is no risk to people's safety and security I will be the first to champion the plant there," Dr Anwar said.

Asked about Dr Anwar's pledge to set up an inquiry, the Lynas spokesman said the plant had already been subjected to numerous independent reviews, including by the International Atomic Energy Agency, the world's pre-eminent authority on radiation safety.

"Lynas is dedicated to zero harm. Care and wellbeing of our people and the communities in which we operate is at our core," the spokesman said.

In Kuantan, a seaside town popular with holidaymakers, anti-Lynas activists claim about 80 per cent of residents oppose the plant but no polling has been done.

A four-metre-high fence surrounds the 100-hectare Lynas site at the edge of an 8600-hectare petro-chemical industrial park.

Construction of the plant was completed last year. Waste water from the plant runs into mangroves where Syed Salikin, 47, goes fishing for crabs almost every day.

"We don't know much about Lynas but I fear it will be dangerous for us," Mr Syed said, holding one of his day's catch. "I am afraid the river will be contaminated. I am not so worried about myself but I am worried this will affect my children and grandchildren."

Rumours swirl around the town about problems at the plant, fuelled in part by a report last month by Germany's Oeko-Institute, commissioned by the Save Malaysia Stop Lynas organisation. It said the plant's design has several deficiencies, including with storage facilities that could allow radioactive and toxic wastes to leak into the ground and ground water.

But Lynas said the institute did not contact the company during its preparation of the report and it was not given an opportunity to review it before its release.

The well-funded SMSL group has been embroiled in legal action aimed at blocking Lynas' temporary operating licence while Lynas is suing seven SMSL directors for defamation. An appeal to seek leave before the Malaysian Federal Court is pending, frustrating efforts by Lynas to see off a final legal challenge.

Bastian Vendargon, a barrister for SMSL, said the directors being sued were mostly retired teachers and public servants who faced losing their houses and savings if Lynas won the case.

"They are obviously very worried about their future," he said.

Andan Sura Rabu, a candidate for Kuantan in state elections for an Islamic party in Dr Anwar's alliance, said he was campaigning on the promise the plant would be shut and opened only "if the public can be convinced it is safe''.

"Why bring this dangerous material all the way from Australia to be processed here .. . why not process it in your desert?" he said.

The dumb Sultan chimply chine

$

The dumb Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam of Sulu chimply cede Sabah to a British Company. The Sulug here could be proud he got English blood.

In our previous business endeavour, we had a Tan Sri former KSU of a Ministry for 23 years as Chairman.

The late Tan Sri was a man of impeccable integrity, thus was much sought after to be on the Board of many public listed companies. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of PNB.

He joined us just for nothing because he trusted a son of an Imam, a fellow Johorean and to help a group of aspiring professionals. Perhaps, it could be in appreciation for us being with the family in their moment of grief or have some common family acquintance.

At one time, we were to do an investment and had to get him to sign before he leaves abroad. To cut a long story short, he had to sign first and we'll keep the signed part to be attached to the agreement after a mistake corrected.

While he was signing, he jokingly said, "Don't chimply chine!"

Being Mindful

Happily giving sovereignty to foreigners for higher price without thinking
We understood his innuendo. It became a valuable lesson never forgotten even after more than 10 years since his demise. May Allah bless his soul.

With the on-going Lahad Datu intrustion and claims on Sabah, hope our leaders - government or corporate or politicians, Ministers, senior statesmen and Sultans - learn something important from the Sulu history and also our own history.

Do not decide anything before understanding thoroughly the decision to be made and it's implication - short, medium and long term.

And, don't chimply chine agreements before reading, understanding the agreement and it's implications.

The Phillipines or the Sulug can say and make all sort of claim on Sabah but upon reverting back to the  historical documents, it is all talk.

It is denigrating or even derhaka of us but we'll say it anyway.

The Phillipines and Sulug have to face the fact that the past Sulu Sultanate were too dumb and complacent for not reading the fine print, thus ceded Sabah away forever.

Not only them, but our past Raja-Raja Melayu, whose words cannot be disobeyed and even advising them could sometime be frown upon, chimply chine our country to the colonialist Europeans.

Perhaps, we managed to  preserve our sovereignty but it is no compliment.

Gang of Sulu-like invaders

Our future could be bleak because we keep chimply chining away lands and space to foreigners on short-term commercial reasoning as done by PKNS planned Datum Jelatek.

We are doing without thinking of the bigger social, political and economic picture. It is happening rapidly and rampantly in Johor's Iskandar Malaysia despite the watchful and scrutinising eyes of the Sultan..

And the bloody PKNS and Johor Corp CEOs, both with a corrupt past, think they are forward thinking and the rest of us are stuck in "gerai" mentality.

The two idiots, in which one of them is our own buddy and Alumnus, are not learning from the plight of the Palestinians and Rohingyas or even our past history.

What can one expect from mechanically-minded Engineer and Accountant, whose concern are for Ringgit and Sen, that they are devoid of any soul and senses?

Ceding away

The most important point against the Sulu Sultanate claim on Sabah was this deed of 1878. The Sulu Sultanate cede away Sabah to the orang putih North Borneo Company.

The dumb Sultan Muhamed Jamalul Alam chimply chine without understanding that grant for a permanent lease means giving away Sabah forever for pittance.

He could have made more by adminstering and developing Sabah. His ancestors later could benefit from the Sabah oil. But instead, his subjects now suffer from war and now living in abject poverty.

In the above permanent lease document found in Washington, the word permanent lease means it cannot be reclaim. The words in the grant also did not say lease Sabah but cede or gave away Sabah for a certain consideration.

History say that some of the areas in Sabah belong to the Brunei Sultanate and was given to Sulu Sultanate for helping out the Sultan win a civil war.

That is another one dumb Sultan to gave away part of his country and made his kingdom smaller in gratitude for winning over his relative seeking his throne. A similar senario will ensue in Malaysia when PKR and DAP take control of Malaysia.

After being ceded way to the British company, just like the case of the Straits Settlements, Sabah was placed under the British Crown Colony.

The British then gave independence to Sabah. Out of fear for their security to Indonesia and Phillipines, Sabah combined with Semenanjung, Sarawak and Singapore to form Malaysia.

Although one Filipino law professor argued that the money paid was not cede but lease [read here], it is easily disputed.

It means the Sulu Sultanate was more bodoh. He gave away Sabah but did not ask for the full payment upfront but on a cheap layplan till kiamat to end!

The Professor needs more argument than that. Read our past posting with the six points on the slim chance of Phillipines winning the claim at the ICJ.

Malaysia should not and never agree to settle the issue at the ICJ.

Corporate numbnuts

Gani's former officer and future corporate numbnut in the making
This brings us to the many numbnuts at the top of our GLCs and SLCs.

The North Borneo Company is like the foreign companies we chimply invite to buy into our properties and contractors, architect, planner etc from abroad to do local work when our's are equally or not better.

To a colonial country like Britian, it can be called investment but for us, it is ceding our sovereignty. Who dare colonialise Britain?

Unless we are American, we can't easily throw them out and reclaim back our land and properties which is indirectly our sovereignty.

But we are not.

When we give work to foreigners, we deny our local talents the opportunity to progress and do work. We are denying our country the opportunity develop ourself. By giving work to foreigners

The Othman Omars, and Zaki Zahids, Azman Mokhtars, Ganens, Vincents and the rest of the Tingkat 4, including Dato Gani Osman are too blinkered and maybe corrupt by Ringgit and Sen to see, understand and differentiate that.

There many more corporate numbnuts being groomed like IDEAS publicity crazy but know nuts Wan Muhammad Firdaus. JP Morgan took this boy thinking he is highly connected and will last forever.

Saving Johor

Hopefully his highness the Sultan of Johor will see better and understand why Johoreans do not like Iskandar Malaysia project.and registered their reservation in the last general election in 2008.

The Sultan Johor is more sensitive and concern for Johor.

We need to be more vigilant in our business and development plan. No money for money sake but the social, economic and political interest of Johoreans. Consideration have to be strategic in nature.

For a start, do not allow Dato Khaled Nordin to be Menteri Besar of Johor. We are aware that Dato Shahril Samad is proposing his protege's name to PM. Our preference is for Dato Hishamauddin Hussein Onn.

All future PM should taste being an MB, isn't it?

One idiot, believed to be Khairy's Stephen Doss, is bitching and simplistically stereotyping us as someone sore for not getting project.

We suggest Khairy should drop this Indian with an orang putih name. He talks like he is smart and thinks he is smart but he is childish, dumb and predictable. No one reads his blog anyway.

For the record, we never care so much for project. We are not contractors or businessmen. If there is opportunity, fine but we are happy with our simple common man life and living in marhean neighbourhood.

Syukur Alhamdulillah we can already afford to retire when the time comes.

We've been bitching on Gani not because of being sore at not getting projects but because he used our intellectual property without paying for it.

Much worse, Gani chimply copy without consulting the owner of the idea and gave it to others to execute. It was the executor that approached us to seek advise upon realising there was a missing link intentionally left out.

Because of that, he placed Johor in a difficult financial difficulty.

Gani deserve to face the problems he get at the twilight of his political career. He will pay for his past ego, jealousy and ill intention towards others by being remembered for his tattered legacy like the Sulu Sultanate.

Wait when he retires from his MB post, every crap he did towards Johor will be spilled out that no young cat, who only appeared in the Johor scene later, can answer.

Off course, all after election ... More on Sabah sovereignty in future postings.

Shut-up and brace yourself for a bumpy ride, Musa

Tun Musa Hitam was reported in the New Straits Times today reiterating a position he gave prior to the announcement of the South Johor Economic Region (SJER) or today called Iskandar Malaysia.

The project was announced by the sleepiest Prime Minister ever, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in March 2006 to deviate the attention from critics for cancelling the Scenic Bridge. He claimed it was his idea but nobody smart enough should believe it.

As the man who failed in his responsibility, when Sime Darby and Golden Hope was under his watch and had recently resigned, Tun Musa said Malays are already successful.

Tun Abdullah's mentor must be blind and deaf.

Tun Musa know nuts about economics and business. And, he was trained and assigned by Tun Abdul Razak to look and strategise in the area of education and politics.

The NST report below:
13 March 2013

Malays successful, says Musa

SHAH ALAM: It is impossible to achieve absolute equality in all sectors across all races in Malaysia, said former deputy prime minister Tun Musa Hitam.

Musa said he did not agree with the opinion that Malays were still far behind in the economic sector as Malays could now be considered successful by any yardstick compared with the past.

"We have achieved success. No one can say that we are not successful by any yardstick, but with the open system we now have, this is always being questioned.

"I don't agree with the sentiment that the economy of Malays is threatened and will collapse (without government assistance).

"Can it survive? Yes? Can it grow stronger? Yes, it can. Are the Malays far behind (compared with others)? Yes, there is still a lot to be done, but it depends on what sector.

"There are sectors in which we are far ahead, there are those we are far behind," he said in adialogue on the economic survival of Malays, here, yesterday..

[Update 3:30 pm] In FMT report [read here], Musa echoed the view of ASLI's former Executive Director, Dr Lim Teck Ghee to say that the GLCs are part of the Malay Agenda.

It would mean that as claimed by Lim Teck Ghee, that Malays equity have far exceeded the 30% equity targeted by the New Economic Policy (NEP).

He must be following the footstep of his protege Abdullah by sleeping in meetings, not reading reports, and not have his ears on the ground. Too much "mile high' in Sime Darby leased private jets.

Today's GLCs and SLCs have foresaken nation building agenda and in particular the Malay Agenda. The CEOs are too profit driven, self-centred morons more concerned with filling up their nest and not too mention, "corrupt."

Musa shows his ignorance of economics when he said the opposition will not lead the country to bankruptcy with their Buku Jingga.

He didn't read the fine print and Pakatan's spending plans for the first two years and first 100 days which has NO revenue stream in the projection.

Looks like Tun Musa is trying to do an Anwar Ibrahim or Saiful's father style of turnaround to say we do not need to see the Malays equal the other races.

What the duck was his lifelong struggle through UMNO all these years was about? Since he failed like Anwar Ibrahim, is he planning to change his positions like Anwar the chameleon?

We have a lot more responses but just wait for the big bomb on Iskandar Malaysia to b ereleased tomorrow circa 10:00 AM.

Tun Musa is the Chairman of the Board of Advisers and it will add another one more batch of failed organisation under Musa's watch.

As one who have been a big disappointment and failure to Johor and Johoreans, we feel he'd better shut up and brace himself for a bumpy ride tomorrow.

While, Gani Othman should just sit tight or try to hide inside one of the two condominiums in Tijani, KLCC. Don't expect the Sultan to protect you on this one.

There will be a lot of cheek rubbing to do.

Ghost of Johor's Iskandar Waterfront scam

$

Maybe the timing is bad, because the general election is looming and it could make Johor Barisan Nasional's campaign bad. But after election, game will be practically over.

Sorry ... in our struggle for "agama, bangsa dan tanahair (alif ba ta)", that must take priority over mere vehicle or tactical use of political parties and NGO.

What more when it is about a corrupt act that will jeopardise our sovereignity and the interest of the rakyat of Johor?

The opposition will take advantage of this revelation but Johor BN and UMNO must convince the voters that it is about individuals and not the rakyat or party or government aspiration, policy, and plan.

Another way of looking at it is to view it positively. This will make all the parties involve realised, pressure to act, and a quick decision made from our usually cautious 11:45th hour decision-maker PM.

The plan must be aborted immediately. Investigation must be made by MACC. All the Directors and Executive/Managing Directors put to task by resigning and immediately replaced. Gani must not be MB anymore.

He must be replaced others with genuine integrity, firmness and decisiveness but not the likes of Khaled Nordin, Nurjazlan, Razali Ibrahim, and Dr Latif.

The ghost of Johor, Tan Sri Lim Kang Ho must be tarred out of Johor.

Otherwise, terbang few seats in fortress Johor and post election impact will be immediate. UMNO party election is due in June 2013.

Since our series on the "ghost of Johor" that culminated in few bloggers being called to "mengadap Tuanku Sultan Johor" and subsequently the crisis of Iskandar Investment Berhad under Khazanah's lackadaisical management, we refrained to touch on any issue involving Iskandar.

We stepped back to watch the Zaki Zahid's Johor Corporation restructuring plan and unveiling of the whole Iskandar Malaysia development, particularly the Iskandar Waterfront from the eastern to the western end of Johor Baru and include the Johor Baru central business district.

Some of us were lending hand to the MB office on media and political matter but we remain uninterested to do anything that is Gani Othman. Our attitude with our other buddies differ greatly and sometimes violently because of our mistrust of Gani.

We are not convince of the claim that he kept a tight ship and lead a simple frugal life. Neither are we convinced that Gani does not have any corporate boys. We know of a couple of Dolahs.

Lim Kang Ho
For heaven's sake, Gani used to be Anwar Ibrahim's Deputy at the Ministry of Finance and held a private pow wow on an island to push up Anwar and bring down Dr Mahathir.

He was politically nasty during the Abdullah era to block our perjuangan in Johor.

Not that we are not forgiving but once bitten forever shy.

It is impossible that so much outcry emanating from the rakyat of Johor Baru on the dominance of Kang Ho and yet Gani's office and boys can defend him to the hilt without any suspicion.

Some say Gani is conveniently pushing his finger towards Hishamuddin whenever the name of Kang Ho crops up.

Since Kang Ho is a businessman, we are not convinced of the story that Kang Ho spend RM800 million to help salvage Gani and the state of Johor from his mess in KPRJ.

Just to remind readers that we own the intellectual property on the KPRJ minus some critical elements intentionally left missing for fear of idea being hijacked.

Since we fought against Abdullah on the scenic bridge and Iskandar Malaysia, we are not going to ever backdown. It doesn't matter if some of those that struggle together with us then had changed their view and now say it is a good idea.

Our ears are on the ground and eyes always watchful. The mole at the tip of our nose is always a reminder to trust our instinct more than any attempt to reasons.

Sometime back, BK Siddhu of The Star wrote a series of articles on Iskandar in relation to her interview with Kang Ho. In the interview, we find it suspicious that Kang Ho can be the one unveiling the whole plan of Iskandar as though he is an authority.

Our sources in Johor revealed that Kang Ho as the main taukeh, Peter Lim of Singapore, Danny and Vincent Tan, and Ngou of the Dailog Group will end up OWNING the whole of Iskandar!

Bigdog [read here] who seemed positive of Iskandar and Kang Ho wrote recently that the initial structure of Iskandar Waterfront project was below:

Then the structure was changed after some asset injections, below:

Then the outfit for the penyamun Tingkat 4, Khazanah was brought in and and everyone including the press believed the structure will eventually be as below:

It looks as though Kang Ho's Credence Resources will be taking the management lead and implement his vision but must get the consent of the Johor state and Federal Government. It is as though it is a well checked and balanced deadlock structure in which the tri-parties must agree before anything can be executed.

Macam bagus betul ...

That is what everyone is led to believe but unfortunately everyone and including someone by an old nic of Ku Yem was hoodwinked.

There is a saying that nothing is straight about Chinese than their hair. Then again, these days some Chinese took the trouble goes to perm their hair to make it curly i.e. crooked.

Kang Ho came from Sabah and for all you know, he could be a Chinese from Sulu that has a tendency to inflitrate by migrating first, then intrude before finally invade.

Our little bird told us that Ganen of Khazanah and Kang Ho redid the whole structure SECRETLY and everyone in Johor including all but few key Directors in the whole organisation structure will not be made aware till the last moment when it is submitted.

Nazir Razak will sambut from inside and Securities Commission will approve.

The SECRET structure will almost be like below:

Kang Ho will combine his shareholdings with that of KPRJ's shareholdings, which is Johor state's entity and Gani should know about and was involved, to be the undisputed majority shareholder and controlling party of Iskandar Waterfront Holdings

By the simple slight of hands, Kang Ho's majority will control the state's KPRJ and at the same time, Khazanah will also bow to the wishes of Kang Ho.

What does having Kang Ho control the whole organisation means?

Here it is ....
Kang Ho will control some 100,000 acres of land and more parked inside all the companies.

As it is, he is on a prowl to buy more tanah orang Melayu in the various kampong of Johor Baru. before everybody knows of his grandplan to turn Johor Baru Waterfront into Lim Kang Ho City.

Some impatient greedy idiots already sold their land worth RM100 per square at RM40 per sq square. The endless story of Melayu jual tanah pada Cina.

The value of the land above is stated at book value of about RM2 billion but when the whole deal is put together, the force sale value of the land will fetch RM6-7 billion easy!

One has yet to talk of the value after it is developed. In addition, Kang Ho will make much much more when all contracts are given to his personally owned construction, engineering, architects, building material supplies, and other companies.

Did not deliver his promise
It reminded us when Gani was about to be send back to Johor as MB. He had a balik kampong program and invited professionals into a discussion.

We were there and so was our old friend in Hong Kong days, one Dato Khamil Jamil of DRB Hicom who was then an overeager lawyer trying to get the attention of Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar.

When he became MB, all was taken care by wife Prof Datin Jamilah and his wife's Perak side of the family.

No wonder Gani quite down on his promise to create 100 Malay entrepreneurs. He wanted to create a new Sultan of Johor.

For all likelihood, Kang Ho will be the true Sultan because the existing Sultanate will be living in his City.

Forget about the fake Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram II and his intention to takeover Sabah. This "Sulug" Chinaman already taken over a more valuable and most potential part of Malaysia.

"Sultan" Lim Kang Ho is already so powerful that one Government institution for a social cause are already aware of his power and kow tow to him. They did a deal in which Kang Ho makes money out of it left, right and centre.

The property to be built is sold as rakyat housing but is more expensive than an adjoining development. Someone suspect that one former Ambassador already took a cut from the overpriced deal.

There is more revelation to come.

If a former ambassador can take a cut, what make you think Gani did not have interest in Kang Ho. All these years, Gani could explode and bar any friendly Bumiputera businessman from Johor for merely seeking his help for projects.

Konon-konon bersih dan tak mahu berkroni.... but reliable sources is saying that he will retire from politics and live in Melbourne.

There is more from Gani's ego, jealousy, and ill intention towards others that culminated into KPRJ, the destroyer of Johor. Everyone only knows of Johor Corp and KFC but there are billions more.

Oh ... we forgot to explain why Ganen is involved despite Khazanah will not be benefit from the new secret structure. That is simple to answer.

When Kang Ho takes control, not only will it be Ganen but many will benefit from Kang Ho. Don't be surprise if it is Gani, Azman Mokhtar, Ganen, Zaki Zahid, Vincent Lim, Wan Firdaus, and many more Tingkat 4 boasted to be all over the place.

All these people can sense their days maybe numbered after the election.

With all these crap going on in Iskandar, Tun Musa Hitam, the sleeping chairman of Iskandar Advisory failed to realise that his hometown of Johor Baru will fall into the hands of four Chinese groups.

Another institution and development under his watch failed. What nonsense did he advised Iskandar?

Or it was merely to suppliment his kaki joli dan bergaya ways. Perhaps he realised.

That is why he said those stupid remarks.

One possibility is that Musa made those remarks because the failed politician is still having a grudge against Dr Mahathir and maybe trying to rope all losers to Dr Mahathir like Tengku Razaleight, Anwar Ibrahim, and Abdullah Badawi to take him on.

The conniving Musa will start a quarrel but he will leave others to fight. The coward politician, who left his Johor supporters stranded when he cowardly quit, will stay away and not soil his hands with political blood and wounds.

But then again, it is possible he is up to something else.

Before Tun Abdullah announced the bomb on Johor, it was Musa who ready the ground. This maybe no different.

He could be a collaborator to topple the Sultan and put a Chinese from Sabah as Sultan for a fee.

Barbarians returning and waiting at the gates

$

In 2008, DAP Penang had done all the work and look sure of beating Gerakan led by the 'lembik" Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon.

Lim Guan Eng turned up at the Penang state DAP committee meeting before election to announce he is running for both state and Parliment seats in Penang and basically push aside the more popular Penang DAP Chairman Chow Kon Yeow to assume the post of Penang Chief Minister.

DAP custom is repeating itself in Johor with Lim Kit Siang returning back to his home state, Johor to run at the Gelang Patah seat after wandering over the years all over the country - from Melaka to Petaling Jaya, Penang and currently Ipoh.

The senior Lim seemed to be emulating his son to steal the glory from the long hard work of Johore State DAP Chairman Dr Boo Cheng Hau.

There are those who believe that Kit Siang's return is to resolve a crisis in Johor DAP. No, it is not really so because the crisis was actually created by pro-Guan Eng faction.

DAP have been making claims all over Malaya that they are expecting to win up to 10 seats in Johor thus giving a seat to Kit Siang should not be an issue.

The fact is DAP can only get 6 at most and likely much less than that. [Sorry, we are not talking.] So why is Kit Siang running in Johor?

As one who claimed to be a natural nationalist without the need to undergo a Biro Tatanegara boot camp, the return of Kit Siang is seen as the return of a barbarian or a Trojan horse waiting to open the gates for barbarians already waiting to enter.

Wimp and coward

Preserving political relevance through deft photo op

A "lembik" leader is one that is unable to be decisive and firm in implementing policies and applying the law. They create dissatisfaction and invite criticism, compromise under political pressure from foes, and fallible to subversive elements.

It happened to Barisan Nasional with Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at the helm of the national leadership and Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon in Penang.

No, we are not repeating an old story on Abdullah yet. Save it when he tries to be vengeful like Tun Musa Hitam and backing his man run for UMNO office.

Since Tsu Koon is expected to run, we should not repeat on his weaknesses also. But we must mention that this chicken shit "lembik" of a Minister is such a coward that he avoided meeting this blogger after promising an appointment three Ramadhan ago.

The skinny wimp conjured up all sort of excuses to tell this former fellow FOMSANA comrade of his through his Muslim convert Chinese political Secretary, Johan (Abdullah). However, the irrelevant political player has no qualm top take any opportunity available to be featured next to the Prime Minister in the media.

How are voters to have confidence in a leader who behaves like a fashion model or worse still, like a prostitute, making a livelihood by exposing their face and body?

Heard he is looking at a seat in Bukit Gantang or perhaps, Lenggong, Perak.

Expensive ego

When a leader is "lembik", they have no confidence in themselves and tend to resort to sabotaging past effort of their predecessor. Some tend to be obsessive to create a legacy of himself..

That was the case with current lameduck Menteri Besar of Johor, Dato Abdul Ghani Osman. Did we jump the gun to announce him as lameduck?

When Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin left the state for a Federal Minister post and was replaced by Ghani, he left behind a cash rich coffer for the state.

It runs into billion of ringgit kept and hidden in several Foundations, Trust Funds, State linked Companies, etc.

Ghani arrived in Johor Baru with a lot of ideas from his stinct in the Ministry of Finance and as someone who pride himself as a  former University lecturer. His wife Jamilah is a University Professor.

At that time, there was much complain against Johor SEDC for entering into businesses that compete with  Bumiputera businessmenman on the street. The "Melayu Johor yang bijak pandai dari Kuala Lumpur" was complaining that Johor did not create Bumiputera entrepreneurs despite the robust growth of Johor.

That was one of Gani's promise for Johor. He announced in a closed meeting then that he intend to create 100 Johorean millionaire entrepreneur.

However, Ghani had a problem.

His jealousy towards Muhyiddin was so overbearing that the only time one will see both attend a Persatuan Anak Johor dinner in Kuala Lumpur is when the Sultan attended recently.

Muhyiddin had a bad reputation as being responsible for selling Johor to Singaporean. It is a long story but it  was Ghani who expanded and spread the story out of preportion. And there was many more rumours that Ghani did.

His ego see it as beneath him to take a single sen from the effort of Muhyiddin, his former classmate at Muar High School. Another of their classmate is the former Air Force General Dato Sujak who is currently recuperating from a serious operation.

KPRJ dream

One of the first few things that Ghani did upon returning to Johor was to do a thorough study of land use in Johor Baru particularly the business district via his wife-led foundation, Yayasan Sultan Iskandar or the local described as yayasan suami isteri. The key man in YSI was Professor Azman.

One would have thought it was to develop Johor Baru and create opportunity for Johor Malays and increase the population of Malays in the Johor Baru area.

Today one can see it is obviously not.

Another was his grand plan to build roads, schools, suraus and masjids, community halls, local sports facilites, and basically rural infrastructure.

It was a well intentioned idea but in usual government practise, there is the limitation of budget and thus it has to be budgeted annually and build bit by bit. But Gani wants to see to it that it be done immediately and all at once.

While he spread rumours and rubbish Muhyiddin, he wanted to use the plan to make himself more popular than Muhyiddin and that way he can overtake Muhyiddin in the race for UMNO Vice President.

Gani ran for VP a couple of times. He never win but on one occasion, he contributed to deny Muhyiddin a place in the top three after being first VP before that.

So Gani eventually came up with Kumpulan Prasana Rakyat Johor (KPRJ) and stole our intellectual capital to make it happen but missed key important elements intentionally left out in the stolen paper.

Former member of the UEM/Renong Office of Chief Exucitive, New Zealander Dato Amirullah Yusof Lana was made CEO. The executives were paid exorbitant salaries, large expense accounts and BMWs was lining up in front of their office.

KPRJ eventually got into trouble at the midst of the financial crisis at the turn of the new millenium.Padan muka curi hak intelek orang lain.

Gone is the idea of making 100 Johorean Bumiputera millionaires entrepreneur and Gani had to solve the financial mess of Johor SEDC or later Johor Corporation and KPRJ.

Lim Kang Ho

Enter KL-born Lim Kang Ho (now a Tan Sri) who was doing business with Felda to open up rancangan in Sabah. Maybe Kang Ho was given the contract to establish the Felda site in Lahad Datu that is in the news daily.

The words around Johor was that Kang Ho claimed to have spent RM800 million of his own money to bailout KPRJ after several proposal involving a backdoor listing exercise failed.

Every financial assitance have to be paid back. Kang Ho wants land and many more as repayment.

Sometime last year in a closed door meeting of an NGO, it was attended by several of it's Johor members. This blogger heard them raised the issue of Kang Ho. There is a deep rooted displeasure towards Kang Ho and Gani in Johor.

They claimed Kang Ho got back many couple of times more than his RM800 million assistance of KPRJ. Itu belum cerita the profit he could make by developing the asset exchanged for "helping" out KPRJ.

Kang Ho is also given interest in KFC in a recent restructuring that had raised public concern in Johor and Kuala Lumpur over the sheer shrewdness and arrogance of Johor Corp management to ignore public outcry and gave away equity of a cashcow priceless jewel to Phillip Ho and Kang Ho.

More on that at a later time.

Real "Sultan of Johor"

With the big plan given to Kang Ho as master developer and the organisation structure of Islandar Waterfront Holding, this had effectively elevate the Ghost of Johor to the stature as the real "Sultan of Johor."

He basically controls the whole stretch of Iskandar waterfront and the area surrounding the Sultan's palaces in Johor Baru. Some say part of the Sultan's investment is stuck with him.

By giving an outsider and businessman much control over Johor Baru and Iskandar Malaysia with the state Menteri Besar and the state aparachik to back him, it is like giving Kang Ho the license to sell Johor to the Singaporean barbarian waiting and some are inside the gates.

Don't ask us what to do or do we want to do this and that. We are not in power to tell of our plans. Iskandar will develop into a sovereignty problem for Johor and Malaysia but everyone chose to ignore out of the chase to get foreign investment.

The 22 years of Dr Mahathir had develop a spirit of Malaysia can do and will do but the Tingkat 4 chose to think we cannot do and invite foreign business consultant to administer our country and sell our land and soverignty in a situation much worse that that happening in Lahad Datu.

Gani did not develop the 100 Bumiputera businessmen into successful millionaires or billionaires but gave practically everything to his favourite businessman Kang Ho and three other Chinese corporate players.

Kit Siang return

With Chinese getting more dominant in Johor and thanks to Gani, more foreigners  can get Malaysian citizenship for thier off spring in the future, the return of Kit Siang to Johor is only expected.

The 72 year old Batu Pahat-born politician hails from our parent's neighbourhood of Lim Poon back home in Batu Pahat.

As told by one of the many well known MCA leaders from Batu Pahat, Lim Poon used to be the area where many former Bintang Tiga communist terrorist reside after the Emergency.

Raising the issue of Communist in Lim Poon and Batu Pahat is a sensitive issue. Either they are ashamed of their past or they harbour the thought to return to their anti establishment tendency.

In addition to Kit Siang's Batu Pahat roots, it is an open secret that many former communist activist joined DAP to continue their subversion work but using democrasy as a facade.

To quote Tunku Aziz:

DAP's subversion method and modus operandi closely resemble that of former communist agent provocateur. However, to be fair to DAP, communist subversive agents not only infiltrated DAP but also MCA, Gerakan, Sarawak's SAPP, and other Chinese based political parties.

Historically, the union power based PAP slept with the commies before Lee Kuan Yew purged them when
he came to power.

Despite being an off spring of PAP upon Singapore being kicked out of Malaysia, the commies was not purged by DAP. The party was made their vehicle to create racial friction and bring about chaos in the country prior to and after the 1969 general election.

Watch the movie Tanda Putera after the general election to understand this.

Bintang Tiga

Batu Pahat Chinese Chamber of Commerce building
To any Batu Pahat Malays, particularly those from Mukim Bagan or Seri Medan, they will never forget the Bintang Tiga or Malayan People Anti Japanese Army atrocities on the innocent citizens, particularly the Malays during the emergency years. [Read this past September 2010 posting here.]

This blogger is born in Mukim Bagan.

In Zaharah Nawawi's book, Panglima Salleh Selempang Merah, she described kampong Malay folks were spied on and some boiled alive by the Bintang Tiga at the Chinese Chamber of Commerce building when they entered Bandar Penggaram to buy sundry goods.

The legend was that Panglima Salleh and his men fought the Bintang Tiga communist with only parang panjang to face the British armed communist terrorist to clean up from Muar to Batu Pahat.

His secret strength lies in his clairvoyance wife, Makcik Esah. Panglima Salleh has long passed away. So has Makcik Esah

Makcik Esah is related to Dato Ruhanie Ahmad. She used to join the Yaasin and Quran reading group initiated by this blogger's mother for the first post Merdeka housing project in Batu Pahat town called Kg Merdeka,.

Baru Pahat would have been completely cleaned of any commies if not foiled by the grandfather to the Menteri Amran Dalam Negeri, Dato Onn Jaafar.

He waited for Panglima Salleh and the angry man of Bagan at the Penembang to stop them from flushing out the commies in the Batu Pahat town of Bandar Penggeram.

Complacent

Kelab Sultan Sulaiman in Kuala Lumpur and Istana Besar Johor Baru can claim to be the birthplace of UMNO but it was at the Kelab Melayu Batu Pahat was the birthplace of UMO, the organisation preceding UMNO.

Ironically, Dato Onn also led the formation of UMO and UMNO to become the first Yang Dipertua of UMNO. .

For the historical sacrifice and struggle, it is strange that assemblymen from Batu Pahat will never get to be MB. And despite saving Muar from the commies, Muar Malays can sometimes be rather unthankful with their brown nosed attitude toward Batu Pahat and Batu Pahat Malays.

Serom Muar Malay man, Gani is one such person.By his actions in Johor Baru and Iskandar, Gani had rendered the struggle of Batu Pahat people to preserve Johor and national sovereignty as irrelevant.

Gani is responsible for his failure in KPRJ that resulted in the unresisted opening up of Johor Baru to solve the added financial mess of the state to the reduced price of the Amanah Saham Johor under Johor Corp.

Both the federal and state government of Johor allowed the agents of the trojan horse and barbarians to the helm of Khazanah Nasional, Johor Corp and various Iskandar related development companies.

Off course, we are talking about the myopic and quarterly short sighted commercial minded Tingkat 4 neo liberals.

In addition, Gani has his own Tingkat 4 with the presence of neo-liberal and Mount Pelican funded founder of IDEAS, Wan Muhammd Firdaus on his staff. This over zealous executives should be removed from the Board of Kulim berhad and MB's office for a conflict of interest for being attached with JP Morgan..

With Khairy taking the lead as master destroyer to lullaby the former PM, they discarded our nation building agenda to build capability, capacity, and knowledge of the people, companies, government and nation while enhacing our nationa's wealth and society.

For his mistake and "lembik" leadership over the years, Gani has encouraged the return of the Barbarian or Trojan horse for Barbarians at the peripheral of the gates to enter.

Zulkifli Nordin is going around in his ceramah with this view:

DAP political threat

And, Gani's former Ketua Pemuda's grandfather had an indirect responsibility for DAP's current assault on Batu Pahat. If Panglima Salleh was not held back by the feudel Dato, he could clean up Batu Pahat from any Bintang Tiga.

With the PAP barbarians at and near the gate, their trojan horse DAP could invite them to enter Johor Baru. That is how blogger Mesin Taip Burok [read here] see Kit Siang entry into Gelang Patah.seat. Extract below:

They are now returning to make a political assault on Muar, Johor Baru and Batu Pahat.

Incumbent and Deputy Minister, Dato Dr Puad Zarkashi could lose if he does not make serious effort to win the hearts of the Batu Pahat Chinese.

One is talking of Batu Pahat Chinese where certain areas are sensitive when issue of Communist is raised. Sons and daughters of Batu Pahat Chinese are playing key roles in DAP and Singapore.

Before Puad can do that, he must unite the Batu Pahat UMNO which is divided into four factions. Before being Muhyiddin's Deputy, Puad used to be Gani's man.

Pre-LIMA break in Langkawi

Just returned yesterday from a poor Internet access area. That should explain for our long not up-dated blog.

There was an invitation for a 'tahlil' in Ayer Hangat, Langkawi for last Friday, LIMA was to begin today Tuesday and dissolution of Parliment is expected to be around the corner before LIMA ends Saturday.

Before getting stuck in the bunker with the general election campaign and the maddening crowd for LIMA and school holidays trickle into Langkawi, we thought it is not a bad idea to go for a bit of R&R, visits and education in Langkawi.

When we arrived Friday, our F-18 and Sukhoi can be seen from afar lined up for LIMA exhibition. The airport tarmac is a secured area, so we can't get close enough for a shot.  (See above)

There will be more Monday.

We had lunch and right after lunch, we went to sort out our "accomodation" at Tanjung Rhu resort.

The Tanjung Rhu was undergoing renovation and was supposed to be open for LIMA.

The staff are still working and kept on payroll. As told by the staff, other hotels or resorts would usually  send away the employee on unpaid leave or some would retrench to rehire later.

What a considerate and generous employer.

In return, they pitched in to help spruce up the place. Though renovation is still on-going, the resort looks emaculate, clean and coiffered. Even the sands on the beach looks like it was raked for a long jump sand landing.

Guess that is why Tanjung Rhu is in the top 5 in Langkawi.

Since there is no guests and hardly much to do, friends in the management asked us to bunk there before the crowd trickled in. For the "good discount" and thrill of feeling eerie from being alone on the resort at night, we took up the offer.

After LIMA, we can't afford it. And during LIMA, it could be double. Malam-malam baca-baca sikit sebelum tidor. But hey ...what's wrong with a little thrill of poltergeist.

After settling in, we had tea with the resort management in the reading room. There we talked a lot about this resort and how it was built to look this beautiful.

When it started in the 80s, Tanjung Rhu was first a development by Promet meant to be as time sharing. It ran into a snag due to financial problem and the recession of the 80s. There was also some local issue.

It was open for bidding till current owner stepped in. He had the right formula and understood the sentiments of the local orang kampong.

There was a lot of hardwork put to make the place what it is today.

Real hands on work. No foreign consultant. No foreign resort or hotel management company. No foreign architect. No foreign planner.

It shows Malaysian management in their finest Malaysia Boleh spirit.

If we put a lot of thought and effort into doing things, we can be as good as anyone in the world. We learn a lot and built up that competitive advantage in knowledge economy that we have been talking about by doing it ourselves.

Off course, election was also in the conversation work. Our friends was sharing with us some information on an issue raised by BN that seemed to be in the vogue for the past one week.

Without telling much, BN people should do their homework before propagating a certain issue on the opposition. We should not be caught spinning incessantly like Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his PKR till any new revelation can be easily discredited when it is associated with him.

It was nearing sundown and time for Magrib and the Tahlil.

We went to the tahlil to read the Yaasin "mubin". The tahlil was for a specific well wishing for the general welfare of everyone involved. After isya prayers, all was invited for a feast.

And we returned after that. The host was obviously happy that we made ourselves this far to join them.

The next two days we were lazing around the resort. See some picturesque view of the resort in the early morning, below:

Some pictures of the resort:

Notice renovation in progress

Off course, we were eat right during R&R ....

Always begin each day with a good breakfast

Another healthy breakfast

For dinner, two nights of Ikan Gulai Hangat at the roundabout near the airport:

Fresh fish in gulai with ulam and sambals ... heavens!
Yes dear, no street food ...

... only tasty delicious mi rebus, pasembor and laksa drowned with a cold cincau under a tree by the sea with the wind blowing and overlooking a nearby marina.

Heaven, isn't it?

If it is not heavenly enough and El Nina was bothersome, there is always Alun-Alun Spa at Pantai Tengah, Kedawang to cool the overheated body and tone down the pain and knots in the body.

The massage services was offered in a menu with different treatment for different body parts like at a Mamak soup stall. In Langkawi, there is no worry of masseurs asking leading questions like "Yu kum ah lone aaa??"

On Sunday noon and Monday yesterday, we spent the day at the LIMA exhibition sites. Below are some shots of helis taken at the Porto Malai near Genting's Awana resort:

The one with the red roof is APMM helicopter

Boats can be seen doing their practise run before LIMA:

On Monday, we tagged along with media friends to hear the pre-LIMA briefing and for their walkabout:

Interesting slogan for Sikorvsky ... It is as though they are no arming of helicopters.

At the end but not in the picture is Dato Mahathir Lokman and Dato Nor Ehsanuddin going through the schedule and script before rehearsal with the Minister of Defense.

"Alah... I can confirm some of what you wrote about ... is true," said Mahadzir. "Bahaya lah you bloggers" he teased us.

A view just outside Mahsuri:

Dato Zahid going through the rehearsal on the Tarmac:

Two PASKAU forces ... love their berets. There is one batallion PASKAU in Lahad Datu ... hint hint
While the Minister was witnessing rehearsal conducted by Mahathir Lokman, we were going Uhhh Ahhh of the planes exhibited ...

Our Sukhois

A series of jet fighters with someone familiar looking

Russian Blacknight Sukhois

US's C17 Globemaster transport plane

Anti submarine patrol aircraft Orion
Singapore's F16  and Apache Longbow D heli

After getting fried under the El Nina sun, we gatecrash for PC and lunch with the Minister and Navy on board the KD Kelantan:

Lunch was prepared and served by our men in white ... ooo sedap nasi lauk kampong!
After lunch, we split from the group.

Minister leaving
Some went for ride on the CB 90 boats

Some went on a ride on the CB 90 and some on the ferry for a view of ships exhibited on sea, which include a Russian Destroyer.

Something we picked from LIMA.

It is a useful and beneficial exhibition for the country. Not only the obvious tourism benefit of filling up the calender of event and tourism dollar, it promote the local defense industry.

It allows us to capture some of the marketing and promotional budget of the huge global industry. For them it is cheaper to participate in such exhibition than ferrying many decision makers required to see before deciding on purchases.

Military men get to come together to discuss on issues and build regional cooperation.

While the military men meet their counterparts, our greatest joy was to meet up old friends, especially the elderly ones.

We visited the former state assemblymen for Langkawi, Ismail Yaacob or popularly known as Cikgu Man Pen at his apartment in Istana Kondo.

A close friend of Tun Dr Mahathir and legend of his own in Kedah politics. In case the young do not know him, ... Pen is for "pendek."

He had been ailing with a bad asthma but, still got us in stitches laughing. We can't share all the jokes that he shared but he did ask all us to see You Tube below of him on the rostrum at 2009 UMNO General Assembly:

UMNO should be reminded of his seloka speech. True to his UMNO resolve, Cikgu Man request that we  send out this message:
TERIMA KASIH BARISAN NASIONAL

Janji Mu telah ditepati
Budi Mu terpahat di hati
Insya Allah, akan kami bukti

DAP in Johor: Diversion or Opportunity?

$
0
0

Last Saturday, we were in Pulai, Johor observing the BN politcal rally at a low cost housing area in our old neighbourhood of Kempas.

Tun Dr Mahathir was speaking and by now many would have read about his speech asking the fixed deposit voters of Johor to bury Lim Kit Siang, Nik Aziz and Anwar Ibrahim.

With Gelang Patah's MCA Jason Teoh a hot favourite, such boastful claim maybe possible. [Read some sample of the report from GAP here and Bigdog here]

Although much attention is given to DAP's entry into Johor as Revolusi Cina [Read Rocky Bru here] and PKR offering celebrated names for Johor,we were alerted that it is mere DAP deviation to divert attention from problems developing in Penang and potential of losing in Selangor.

There is also a possibility it is to divert attention from a silent takeover of Negeri Sembilan.

Misjudgement

For those unfamiliar with the political terrain of Iskandar Malaysia, the parliamentary seat of Pulai is just next to Gelang Patah, the seat Kit Siang will be running for the upcoming general election.

Both Kit Siang and Chua Jui Meng misjudge the 4,000 increase in Singapore working Chinese voters as favouring opposition.

Kit Siang ignored the refusal of some Chinese shopkeeper to shake his hands during his walkabout. He may not be aware that bookie odds are for him to lose.

And Fung Shui masters are advising that Anwar spells for B-A-D.

Dr Mahathir is only playing on the peripheral of Gelang Patah before making the real push into Gelang Patah to bury his long time foe.

Nevertheless, Pulai is not actually DAP-free and it remain a BN strong area because Kempas is a strong Malay area. If Nurjazlan continues with his liberal ways, he could lose his seat.

However, DAP is not overzealous and zeroed in only on the Pengkalan Renting state seat of Pulai. One local UMNO source said there is an increase of 18,000 or perhaps more logical number to be 8,000 new Chinese voters there.

This Sunday Dr Mahathir will be in Muar, another battleground of DAP. They are hoping to defend the Bentayan state and Bakri parliamentary seats and win Muar parliamentary seat.

From our sources, DAP may end up losing Bakri and incumbent Dato Razali Ibrahim could successfully defend Muar.

Like we said earlier, DAP may want to win something like 10 Parliamentary seats in Johor but they are likely to get away with 3 only.

So these could be just mere decoy.

Shaky Penang

Contrary to popular opinion that Penang is DAP's fixed deposit, recently it is not as rock solid as many would have thought it to be.

Not because the Malay seats have swinged for UMNO. Sixteen seat is not safe yet for BN to win Penang.  Get real ... Penang is a Chinese majority state. Although Malay population is almost as much as Chinese, the bulk are not registered voters of Penang.

Lim Guan Eng is facing many issues that has affected his credibility off late. The Chinese for Chinese sentiment may not work this time. The professional and middle class his over politicised ways. As for his popularity with the lower economic class, there is a bomb waiting to explode.

Guan Eng has repeatedly been lying whenever he is caught in controversial issues. The tallies are too much to ignore.

There has been too many massive high end development projects that have earned DAP the nicname Developer Association of Penang. DAP has no answer but mere lies on the issue of low cost housing.

DAP is now facing issues that is no more only Malay and Indian issue. Even some Chinese are viewing his blatant racist policy of To'kong Lim against Malays and Indian that is disturbing inter-community harmony.

Tunnel

The public outcry against underground tunnel is coming from all walk of life despite attempt by DAP to claim that the deal for only 150 acres land is better when compared to the bigger land compensation for North-South Expressway.

Actually, it is not so much the issue of the tunnel affecting the ports or livelihood of fishermen. Technically, it is not a real issue. In fact, the tunnel has some strategic benefit.

Off course there is the legitimate question of why a tunnel when the second bridge is already built?

Better to talk after general election. Now it is all politics.

The tunnel is getting opposition from the local and interest groups, which usually get opposition support to go against any government development plan.

On another issue, Guan Eng tried to pass the buck from the revelation that Penang is investing RM3 billion into a Penang Electronic Park in Wuhu, China to Dr Mansor.

Why would Penang be investing when the state needs investment from abroad?

It only confirm Guan Eng failed to attract FDI and have been claiming credit from effort of federal government's MITI.

If that is not enough, Guan Eng lost face to BN state chief, Teng Chang Yeow, when he dare not take up the challenge to run in a mixed race constituency.

Guan Eng was only willing to take him on for the 78% Chinese constituency of Bukit Bendera. It only shows the hypocrasy of DAP's multiracial claim.

Either way

Selangor is also shaky for DAP controlled exco but MB from PKR.

It can go anywhere.

The issues tilt for BN with Malay votes looking solid to not give PAS and PKR.

Selangor is about urban versus rural voters and Chinese majority urban versus Malay majority rural voters.

Still ... it can go either way and based on racial sentiment, it  theoretically favours Pakatan. If Pakatan Rakyat can win some rural and Malay seats and BN can't win over Pakatan seats, it will remain with Pakatan.

The issues on Selangor need to get the right angle and light to favour BN. Seriously the state is badly administered and the claim of increase in reserve with a RM2.6 billion surplus is a big lie.

How could they achieve such with repeated years of budget deficits?

While Selangor and Penang is shaky, DAP Johor deviation serves to not attract attention for Negeri Sembilan.

With BN majority only by two seats, DAP is seriously looking to takeover Negeri Sembilan. They have got Malays ready to be placed as DAP puppet MBs.

Since Negeri Sembilan MB Dato Mohamed Hassan looks to stay on, the situation for UMNO is not certain. The warlords have not been happy with Mat Hasan. THere have been many disinterested look in the state UMNO meetings.

Mat Hasan family or specifically his elder brother have been and still is seen as a problem to him and contributes to his unpopularity with the UMNO masses.

Source say it has been resolved and agreed that each Division chief take care of their own.

However, Mat Hasan has attracted attention by announcing his and Khairy Jamaluddin's candidacy. Khairy is seen as successful at crippling the UMNO Youth Movement.

Many observers are batting their eyebrow at his gesture to pre-empt the PM's announcement. Is this indication of something brewing for an after the general election action?

Perhaps, the Return of the Jedi?

Johor campaign problem

Johor may be able to thwart off DAP's attempt on Johor this time but will it ensure UMNO and BN a comfortable win?

In 2008, the issue in Johor that resulted in some 100,000 protest spoilt votes was Iskandar Malaysia. Since then, Iskandar Malaysia has not change for the better.

In the eyes of the Johor public, the federal and state government has yet to build the scenic bridge requested by the late and current Sultan of Johor.

The situation has turned for the worse with the corruption cases involving top management of Iskandar Investment Berhad.

Basically, Johor has some campaign issue working against them.

Talk of Johor

The subject most talked about among Johoreans is Tan Sri Lim Kang Ho's dominance in Johor Baru to control some 100,000 acres of state land from coast to coast of Johor Baru.

It is done in co-hort with the Johor MB, Dato Ghani Osman through a deceptive corporate restructuring and listing plan of Iskandar Waterfront Holdings.

See the secret structure submitted to Securities Commission that will enable Kang Ho to control IWH and can ignore the voices of KPRJ and Khazanah.

That was why Kang Ho could claim in The Star interview that "we and KPRJ" will set the direction of Johor Baru development.

Anyway, Khazanah and their boys, Ganen, Vincent Lim, Zaki etc together with Gani's boy Wan Mohamaed Firdaus are already in co-hort with Kang Ho.

It was recently revealed to us that Kang Ho's relationship with Zaki Zahid goes way back when he was working under Dato Hishamuddin and it has helped him to secure contracts from MRCB. Hishamuddin left Kang Ho when he sold off his interest in Ekovest Berhad to join the cabinet.

Kang Ho is said to be the MCA Adviser but recently, few bloggers posted articles claiming Kang Ho is financing also DAP.

One is not talking of any bloggers but those that received invitation for an audience with the Sultan.

KFC free ride

Another issue that will be a problem for UMNO and BN in Johor will be the KFC restructuring that involves the state company, Johor Corporation.

The basis of the need to restructure is to raise money for Johor Corp by taking KFC up in the organisational structure.

Initially, the entrance of Singaporean Phillip Lim was already raising eyebrow. But when the new structure was revealed, there is the presence of Kang Ho at the top of the food chain, the Johor public, particularly the Malay middle class and business community, is now on a  warpath with Ghani.

The Johor Baru public have long seen Ghani as being too casual with Kang Ho. As one businessman said, he saw both of them together regularly in restaurants and cafe that it is suspicious.

Johoreans are also concern that Tabung Warisan Johor was asked to cough up money to get equity in IWR to have interest in KFC but Kang Ho does not have to cough up any.

There is also Triton coughing up money to buy into IWH Resource. Who is Triton Sdn Bhd? Are they linked to Mitsubishi?

Or a hidden off-shore company owned by Temasek?

Johoreans are not happy that Temasek was allowed to buy an island at the mouth of Danga river. They would not be happy too should Triton turn out to be Temasek.

What is hidden from the public eyes is the shareholders agreement between Kang Ho and KFC party in which there is a buy back guarantee. Business with no risk?

It was also found that the claim that Kang Ho had cough some RM800 million to help KPRJ was also a lie. It was for an exchange with land and he did not disburse the money until later after the land was tranfered to him.

What else is Kang Ho taking a ride on?

After GE, too late

Since we are facing an election, we will not get into details and lengthy explanation that will be used as  ammunition by PAS. The lack of education clergymen are so lazy at research and usually prefer to spin some shallow accusation.

DAP will not make much issue on what was raised since they are only to happy to see increase in Chinese population from Singapore or outside Johor.

And, Kang Ho gave DAP money?

Before Johor BN campaign to the rakyat for a new mandate and whack at the opposition, they must take care of their own affair.

We believe they will address all these mess before Ghani leave office. They better do so to reverse and do a better deal for the state and public money.

The public is not as stupid as Zaki Zahid and Azman Mokhtar thinks. Dasar Ekonomi Baru have created many knowledgeable and smart Malays able to read all these intricate corporate restructuring and manouvre.

Khazanah can only avoid being scrutinised by continuing their policy to marginalise the Malays.

With Kang Ho's quest for land, the compensation to reverse must not involve land. The public already suspect it to be so.

If some thinks we are sabotaging BN, get your priorities right.

After general election, it will be too late. It will be done deal when SC approve this daylight robbery by  Kang Ho like the excuse they used for the ECM Libra acquisition of Avenue Asset.

Please do not try to praise KPRJ for building 5,000 miles of rural road. The voters may not buy that. They will say it is expected of government.

It is this poorly planned building of rural road that put the state finances in a mess.

We do not know what kind of MB we will get after Ghani. He or she better be those without any personal or financial baggage.

Airasia crash?

We've just received phone message that Airasia crash in their final approach to land. Details not received yet and no news is coming out from the internet.

Hope there is no attempt to blackout this news from the mainstream using co-ercion and threat by Tan Sri Tony Fernandez on the media.

That is an Anwar-Guan Eng stunt to suppress freedom of information.

Such news must not be blacked out by threats such as to withdraw advertisement because it involves public interest and safety.

Hopefully the pilot, crew and passengers are safe and there is no casualty.

We at ABITW have been cautioning the public for a while that cheap flight at anything-to-cut-cost down  approach to business may come at a risk to public safety and one day life could be at stake.

Quite sometime ago, Airasia was only given temporary license/permit to fly due to some technical factor.

Since being too closely following politics, we forgot what exactly the temporary license was. And, whether the remedial action have been made and license/permit renewed.

However, we do not fly Airasia on safety reason and their bad safety record.

We hope the message is not absolutely true and it is not as bad as we think it is because otherwise, public  would have been duck in the *ss for flying Airasia.

Eating humble pie

This time we will have to eat humble pie.

Sorry for our prank previous posting that was written in a lonely hotel room during our nationwide travel for the past few weeks.

It is unfortunate for Lion Airline to end up in the receiving end of our mischief. However, it can't be  God's sumption for our deed because neither Lion nor Malindo Airline are our favourite airlines.

Just cause we broke the news on Malindo as competition for Air Asia does not mean Malindo is a favourite. It is just to spite Tony F and send him the message that we are watching you.

He he he ....

We also acknowledge all criticism leveled at us for the prank, including those not allowed publication.

There is exception to our hostile comment policy. The problem with allowing hostile comments is that once it gets started, it demeans the blog as a battle ground to exchange brickbats and loses any credibility it has.

That we will not allow.

Critical is fine but no personal hostility. It's our blog and like our home, we do not welcome hostile outsiders in.

Anyway, the traveling was to feel the political ground. Since our long trip to Sabah several months ago, it was to understand the political landscape shaping up.

The findings and observations will be inserted in our posting on GE 13 which should officially start tomorrow.

So ... Lim Kit Siang said in the Chinese paper two days ago that Special Branch report available to him placed Pakatan as handsomely leading Barisan by 145-77.

Laughable for DAP to have access to Special Branch report especially when it is not their work to predict elections for public consumption like some survey groups.

At 145-77, DAP must have dug up some old rubbish off Bukit Aman. That looks like old sample from few years ago when Pakatan was winning by-elections after by-elections.

It is just a ploy to start a Malaysian version of Arab Spring.

By creating such false impression, they hope it will self actualise to become real. If it doesn't turn out so, then it can create dissatisfaction and substantiate their allegation of election rigging.

The dum dum will believe and go to the streets and Malaysia ala Arab Spring demonstration begins.

The fact is Pakatan lost their plot and momentum. They cannot win this general election. Even my PKR sympathiser and party worker friends acknowledge it is still BN this time. There are some 14 of our Alumni contesting from both side of the political divide.

Other than DAP, other Pakatan Rakyat parties are going to the dumpster. Some friends are destined to lose.

Even Penang can be shaken and stirred. If luck is our lady, BN can retake Penang. Just don't laugh to early.

Then there is DAP's attempt to make an issue with the Registrar of Societies. There is some discrepencies in the party election and some members complain but they chose not to sort it out fast enough.

So it is a ploy to gain sympathy and blame BN as not playing fair.

It is actually a reason for DAP to run under PAS symbol in Peninsular Malaysia and PKR symbol in Sabah and Sarawak.

Why didn't DAP opt to run under PKR symbol in Peninsular Malaysia? After all, DAP is against any notion of Islam - it's practises, islamic state and hudud.

Mr Karpal "Over My Dead Body" Singh have been talking of running under PAS symbol for many months.

It is all planned.

DAP intentionally allowed the computer mistake to linger long enough and push the issue to the Registrar of Society. All along, DAP hope to gain Malay votes by running under PAS symbol.

So will the Malays Muslims vote for PAS when voting PAS means voting for DAP, be it the real PAS candidate or Chinese candidate?

And visi versa for Chinese voting PAS?

There will be those eating humble pie after the General Election. Surely, it is not us.

Got to run for Jaybee flight ...going to Gelang Patah.

Toll, Petrol, and Automobile

$

The involvement to help out in various campaign work must have taken the time that it is difficult to allocate time to update this blog. Somehow or rather, updating this blog became the lowest priority.

We've been doing a lot of traveling around the country, particularly to Gelang Patah. At Senai Airport, Johore Baru one morning and over breakfast that we realised the opposition is singing the same and popular tune on the issues of tol, petrol and automobile.

These issues have been answered by many but this time we like to lend a hand also. The reasons we too like to take a crack is because it is Rafizi, the compulsive and everytime caught lying Strategic Director of PKR doing the delivery.

It has to be understood well because it is a complex issue made simple and can be dangerously convincing to simpleton voters.

At a ceramah organised by PAS at Sri Merlong, the edge of Batu Pahat parlimentary boundary, we heard PKR candidate, Idris Jauzi gave a simplistic and rather convincing argument to this issues of tol, petrol, automobile and  various subsidies they are raising.

We know that for many years since the days of Pak Lah's administration that Anwar offered this populist preposition of reducing petrol by 50 sen a day he takes over government. Although we are entirely convince he will be Prime Minister, even if Pakatan Rakyat wins, Pakatan Rakyat will have to honour that promise.

Then he builds it to other subsidies for the rakyat, in which he basically exploited the rakyat's ignorance of the already many subsidies that government had absorbed. Today, they pushed it to another level of offering free tertiary education.

It is good that they decided to offer this because at one time, Pak Lah's administration was toying with the idea of reducing the government's subsidy burden. It reminded us of our heated debate that was almost on the verge of a quarrel with the late Tan Sri Aishah Ghani's son, Dato Astamam after just being introduced by Mohd Aziz Sri Gading's son.

It was with regard to subsidies and that time, the hot topic was the 75 sen increase in petrol that could not be handled properly by Dato Shahrir Samad due to Pak Lah's infamous string of boo boo.

We argued that subsidies was a way for the wealth of the nation be felt by the rakyat. Basically, salary and wages does not serve that mechanism. That was the same arguement that Idris Jauzi used to convince the voters living at the "Ulu" part of Batu Pahat.

The political argument used was very cheeky.

"Tempat ini sama 40 tahun dahulu seperti masa saya masih di sini. Kita sudah tidak ada apa-apa melainkan harga minyak diturunkan, kurangkan tol supaya kos pengangkutan murah, kawal barang jangan naik dan pendidikan untuk ditinggalkan untuk anak-anak kita."

To make it sounded politically attractive and financialy viable, he raised issue of corruption, cronyism, nepotism and RM20 billion leakage estimate by Accountant General.

If we are to argue that Pakatan current budget busting Manifesto basically went back against their  economic agenda in their 2008 Manifesto, which wanted to reduce subsidy and increase Malaysia's competitiveness, it is not sufficiently convincing.

Let us hear Rafizi in his delivery and we rebut it back. First this one on Tol:

Oh what a sissy voice. It seemed he is actually gay. Read in House PK blog.

Rafizi claimed:

“Tol tingkatkan kos pengangkutan. Kos pengangkutan menyebabkan harga barang naik…”

The rebuttal is:

  • Tol for PLUS highway has not been increased since 2005. Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan tidak pernah dinaikkan sejak tahun 2005. But yet, price of good and cost of trans[ortation still on the increase because Consumer Price Index still increase by 2.6% a year.
  • There is no direct correlation between food prices and toll. Never in any article by professional/economist mentioned that the cause for food price increase is toll imposition:
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/1/24/focus/7857359&sec=focus
  • Based on table below, transportation cost in 2011 increased by 4.4%, but toll for PLUS remain unchanged in 2011. F & B prices also increase every year!

Rafizi claimed:

“Ambil lebuh raya yang sudah memberi pulangan modal...”

The rebuttal is:

  • Apart from the initial construction cost, huge money has been invested and spent on maintaining and upgrading of expressway network and facilities. For example, 4thlane widening at cost of RM1.6B is fully funded by PLUS for the rakyat.
  • UEM and EPF acquired PLUS at RM23bil. Reason for the acquisition is to reduce toll for the benefit of rakyat, but at the cost of the concession company through loan obligation of RM30B.
He went on to claim:

“Mengambilalih tol secara berperingkat-peringkat. Kos ambil alih dibayar secara ansuran setiap tahun...”

PLUS dimiliki oleh badan rakyat seperti Khazanah dan KWSP.

But, making this populist claim is not viable:

  • The takeover on stages basis is illogical and unfounded from commercial point of view. Lenders would definitely not agree to such a deal whereby the borrower is one entity without ANY source of revenue and hence, no security against the borrowing. Severe impact to the entire bond market of Malaysia as well as global debt market, as PLUS Sukuk is the biggest global Islamic Sukuk. There would also be implication to the FDI and Islamic financing market.
  • As PLUS is owned by “badan rakyat”, any profit will flow back to the rakyat either via EPF.

Rafizi elaborated that:

“Anggaran tahunan bersih untuk ambil alih lebuh raya PLUS untuk hapuskan tol adalah RM4 bilion setiap tahun dengan pecahan:

iv.     Simpan RM1.1B untuk bayar hutang bon Sukuk UMNO”

We rebut:

  • Where will the funds come from? National income will be affected and how would this expenditure address the country’s budget deficit?
  • Would it be fair to takeover of a highway located in West Coast Peninsular Malaysia at the cost of other rakyat especially those living in Sabah, Sarawak and East Coast? Amount used for takeover could deprive Sabah Sarawak and East Coast of good infrastructure.
  • What is the basis? Why based on 50% of annual toll collection? How could equity acquisition use 50% revenue as the acquisition cost and payable on an annual basis?! The takeover cost of PLUS for Khazanah and KWSP was RM23B. Divestment would definitely affect both Khazanah and KWSP’s investment return.
  • The RM800+ million figure is just on maintenance. What is there’s a need to expand the highway? Where would the cost come from and who is to bear this cost if without any toll income? PLUS’ 4th lane widening project cost RM1.6B is fully funded by PLUS.
  • With free-toll, more people will be using the highway and this will jam up the highways even more quickly – coupled this with the fact that PR plans to reduce car prices, double whammy!
  • With more motorists on the road, more pavement maintenance work would be needed, more lane widening projects would have to be undertaken to ease traffic, more cost to maintain the R&R and more complaints from the rakyat! All these cost will escalate significantly over the years and, who to bear?
  • The Sukuk was issued by a corporate entity under a comprehensive regulatory framework with good governance. Malaysia continuing to dominate as the destination choice for Sukuk issuances in the global Sukuk market. Based on RAM report in 2013 (http://www.theborneopost.com/2013/02/24/malaysia-to-continue-leading-global-sukuk-market-growth/), Malaysia issued US$97.1 billion of Sukuk last year, accounting for 69.7 % of the total globally. Continuous development plans especially in the infrastructure sector ensured the growth of the Sukuk market.
  • Changing the Sukuk terms will dampen investors' confidence and ultimately, the future of Sukuk and debt market in Malaysia.
It shows Anwar sleeping during presentation when he was in cabinet or he is too dumb on economics that he did not understand it.

Rafzi claimed:

“Apabila tol dihapuskan, Kerajaan amat menjimatkan beberapa perbelanjaan tahunan:

That simplistic logic miss out:

  • PLUS had in 2011 announced the restructuring of toll -- with no increase for 5 years and rate of increase for future years has also reduced from 10% to 5% every 3 years) and no compensation payable to PLUS.
  • There won’t be savings, in fact, operations and maintenance cost will increase with the sharp rise in traffic volume on a toll-free highway.
  • Whether this saving eventually benefits the right group of people? The ones who are paying toll are those who can afford to own a car, and pay for the road tax and fuel.

For Rafizi's closing:

“Setiap tahun, rakyat membayar tol kepada PLUS sebanyak RM3B dan Kerajaan mengguna dana rakyat utk membayar pampasan RM800 juta kepada PLUS. ….Kos tanggungan rakyat setiap tahun berjumlah RM3.8B…

Rebuttal:

  • Again, no compensation payable to PLUS. During the corporate restructuring of PLUS, both UEM Group and EPF agreed to waive RM2.9bil compensation owed by Government.

Rafizi's video on reducing petrol prices:

To answer:

His video on reducing car prices

Rebuttal for Rafizi:

This issue of toll, petrol and automobile is popular and appealing but it is too simplistically presented by Pakatan. To solve this, it require more comprehensive understanding of the implication. This the Pakatan people could not do.

"Johore Way" and BN do not need Mind Game to win

We've been traversing the country for the last two months and more so during the election period. This general election, our focus is on home state Johor and in particular, Gelang Patah. Must have made three trips to Gelang Patah and few to Muar and Batu Pahat.

Pakatan Rakyat can continue to play their mind games on the voters and violence and threats on Barisan Nasional supporters, but they are losing and trailing. Gelang Patah will be Dato Ghani for the take.

Forget the statistics and number crunching. The tell tales signs are all over for a victorious Barisan Nasional. We are feeling two third is not impossible.

The Malaysian Insider itself reported on May 2nd that Dato Najib is leading in the ratings by 73% in popularity over Dato Seri Anwar's 32%. That is too significant to dispute. [Note: Rocky Bru just alerted on our way back from Gelang Patah that the report is false. See here.]

For Pakatan, don't blame it on Election Commission. That is what Bersih wants to. But blame it on themselves.

Their campaign screwed.

Gelang Patah

One of our informer said Lim Kit Siang had confided with uncle Lobert, Tan Sri Robert Phang. He cursed at his wrong move by swearing at Ghani Othman.

If it had been Jason Teoh, he would have made mince meat out of him. But with Gelang Patah at 52-53% Chinese, it is a 50:50 seat Kit Siang is not accustomed too.

Gelang Patah is a huge area, slightly smaller than Singapore. Again, Uncle Kit is not used to. All his past constituencies are urban and smaller in size... very manageable.

Despite having Dato Zaid Ibrahim as "adviser" and Salahuddin Ayub as running mate for ADUN Nusajaya, the Malay votes is not within reach of Kit Siang.

Heard he had to face hostile crowd when campaigning to the Malays and also Chinese.

Indian is also beyond reach after the Kg Buah Pala Penang incident. Najib hs got the support of Hindraf and Waytha Moorthy campaigned for Najib and Ghani.

Kit Siang knows Ghani can reach to the Chinese but he insist on playing the favourite role and Ghani comfortable at being underdog.

Kit Siang strategy is to  create the wave of big Chinese crowd at Sutera Mall and Skudai. The crowd maybe be huge in the 7-10,000 but only the front and supporters are exuberant The rest are wait and see. Majority of the attendee are curious outsiders.

Ghani did not entertain Kit Siang's brickbat but choose to  play it soft, the Johore Way he claims. He could have played the good cop, bad cop campaign but he did not.

Underdog Italy can beat a ferocious attacking Brazil. Ghani is the understated favourite.

Kit Siang failed to see the Jason Teoh factor. He thought the 20,000 newly registered voters in which it is about 70% is Chinese and 30% Malay. And, he didn't understand thoroughly why Dr Boo Cheng Hau is strong in Skudai.

All for his cocky, arrogant and to'kong son.

Barisan Nasional

In our own asessment without giving up any details  and numbers, BN is heading for  two third majority.

Sabah, Sarawak, Johor despite DAP's attempt, Pahang, and Melaka are fixed deposits.

There could be some threat on Negeri Sembilan from DAP and Terengganu from PAS but it will be BN to keep.

Winds of change is loud in Kelantan and Kedah and  do not be surprise to see both fall. Kelantan people are fed-up with inefficiency of PAS administration. The same in Kedah but in fighting is the real problem. There is some in fighting in UMNO as usual in the two state in famous for cah keting, but contained.

Plus and minus, chances are very strong for Dato Mukhriz to be next Kedah MB and his current boss, be Kelantan's next MB. Nik Aziz will opposition leader sigh ...

Perlis is not a problem.

Our prediction for Perak is for two third of the state assembly is BN. Do not be surprise that the Ngeh Ng brothers will be jobless.

For Penang, be ready for some surprise results Unless MCA and Gerakan can carry their own, Penang will still be with DAP. Who knnows miracle happen.

Mind game

Pakatan is trying to play a mind game and blame it  on EC. Then they hope to start a revolution and topple the government by force.

Anwar forgot.

One needs an empty stomach. Malaysia has too high level of obesity among it's population to have a revolution.

If he has to blame anyone, it has to be himself. He is not a saleable product for PM. Neither are Kit Siang or Hadi. Definately not Lim Guan Eng.

Party or candidate as a product needs a good track record. Pakatan has none to show but only spin and use of propaganda to tell the public their are good. The acknowledgement is not from the public and all work of life.

The blame BN of this and that but they themselves did it. How do they expect voters will give them a chance?

True, they are great propagandist and with their psywar. But campaigning is not merely of that. It is not just black op and psywar.

Mind game is not forever. Over time, the truth will surface and it will set them free from their dreams of Putrajaya.

Political campaign needs a good and honest selling and proper image. BN has ownership on good image, attracting the crowd and spirited in a positive way.

Pakatan screwed it up with their militancy. And they will lose.

Lain Kali Lah

PM Dato Najib was reported in today's NST:

"Kelantanese have lost faith in PAS in many aspects. For example,  the case of 'Kalimah Allah', a pondok ustaz told me that Pas had committed the biggest kemungkaran (disavowal) of aqidah (faith). When I asked him what it was, he said it was when Pas proclaimed that Pas is Islam and Islam is Pas. After 23 years, they feel that it is time for a change."

"The (Pas held) Kedah government was dysfunctional. The menteri besar and several of his exco members were disunited and were openly squabbling with each others. "

"In Selangor, they have been disappointed by empty promises made in 2008. In many areas, it is clear that they felt cheated when pledges made then were not kept."

On Pas vs Islam, PM said, "Pas has not defended the issue of aqidah (faith), This is a major reason why their traditional staunch supporters, pondok school teachers, and many ustaz had lost their trust in the party.

"To them, Pas has damaged the aqidah of Muslims. They view this seriously."

So, Pakatan Rakyat ...in case they did not realise, Ini Kali Lah is not good slogan. In Arabic, it resembles the meaning "I'm Allah". It is the boastful word of Dajjal when it surfaces on this earth.

Malaysia Spring deny peoples' freedom to choose

Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim had mentioned in his speech during the Himpunan Kebangkit Rakyat Bangit or HKR 112 on that there will be a street riot when there is electoral fraud.

Thus far, although there is no need to do so, the Election Commission had submitted to Bersih's 8 point requests.

All of it including the archaic practise of indelible ink to avoid duplicate voting by unscrupulous operators. It is viewed as archaic in view of the tight issuance of identity card, existing procedures, and existense of other security technology available.

People do not trust the ability of Pakatan Rakat to administerexisting states under them. They have failed to do so well.

Still they insist there is fraud.

Foreign orchestrated "regime change"

Even if there is weakness in some of the procedures, there are many other procedures to counter check including the existense of party representative at every step of the way. All transparent and open.

It is nothing but an attempt to start a revolution since they could not takeover government legally.

It can be clearly seen that Anwar has the support of foreign parties. He has got two foreign journalist following him around closely.

Hopefully it stops outside his bedroom. Pity the two.

This is nothing but the abuse of the freedom and words are Hishamuddin Rais has already given ut specific instructions to "attack" Putrajaya, particulary the Prime Minister's Office under the pretext that secret and important documents are not smuggle out.

How sure they are at wining?

According to Rocky Bru here, he sees BN has already in the bag about 118 seats. Half of 222 seats is 111 seats and that means BN is already returning as government.

There is still 40-50 grey areas. Some are tightly contested areas, Don't say the flip of the coins always favours the other side.

How about the black turned grey seats and later won.

Don't tell me Rocky has the same list as they were given to us.. That is rather to clinically white i.e. colgate white.  Part of the breakdown goes like Perak 10 seats, Pahang 10 seats, Sabah 14 seats, 17 seats and Sarawak 20 seats.

From where we see, it is to colgate white. We have the benefit of being traveling across the country and feel the ground. Significantly more expected for Sabah and Sarawak.

There are many Imeedeen white seats, meaning murtured to be white. Our call is 128 already in the bag.

Isn't it ridiculous for PR psywar SMS clast to claim they have 125 seats? They must have misread BN's leaked report and though it is their own.

Abuse of freedom for foreign interest

Forget about trying to accuse of cheating BN. This is just an abuse of freedom ...

Anwar is doing in accordance to Gene Sharpe's manual to bring down government with the help of foreign interest to control Straits of Malacca.

If these ruffians wish to deny the peoples' choice, they should be denied the freedom because they are not entitled the freedom.

Man U lost 0-1 to Chelsea

Juan Mata struck an 87th-minute winner as Chelsea won 1-0 at champions Manchester United on Sunday to reclaim third place in the English Premier League and tighten their grip on a Champions League spot.

It was a lacklustre game by United at Old Trafford as they were drifting towards a goalless draw. But, Mata collected a pass from Oscar and dispatched a low shot that took a deflection off Phil Jones on its way into the bottom-right corner.

Mata's goal means Chelsea go into Wednesday's crunch clash against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge with a three-point lead over their London rivals, who are bidding to crash into the top four.

Arsenal are sandwiched between the pair in fourth, a point behind Chelsea, having played a game more.

Sir Alex had no complains and accepted the result, Read the report below:

Sir Alex Ferguson admits Manchester United deserved nothing against Chelsea

Star Sports
May 5, 2013 7:06pm

Sir Alex Ferguson had no complaints with the result after seeing Manchester United beaten by Chelsea, but felt aggrieved by big decisions.

The Red Devils, who have already wrapped up the Premier League title, slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday.

A deflected effort from Juan Mata three minutes from time settled the contest, before Rafael saw red late on for kicking out at David Luiz.

Ferguson admitted afterwards that his side were far from their best, but feels referee Howard Webb did them few favours.

He told Sky Sports: "The team took their foot off the pedal. There was no edge to the game all day. I think Chelsea deserved to win.

"Unfortunately it was controversial, it always is when we play Chelsea, but we can't complain because we didn't play well enough.

"It was a bit of a lucky goal, it has deflected off Phil Jones. I can't make any excuses in terms of the performance. Certainly refereeing decisions went against us. They surrounded the referee all day, four or five players all the time."

On Rafael's dismissal, Ferguson added: "He was elbowed and he retaliated. That always happens, the player that retaliates always gets the bigger penalty.

"It was quite clear that Luiz has elbowed him twice. It was rash what he has done, he's a young lad and he should know better.

"I wouldn't say it was violent conduct. I don't think the referee has seen it at all, he's gone with the fact that Luiz has rolled about. I think that has convinced him it was a red card.

Note:

Sorry, no politics today.  Not in mood.

It is not a wrong call on Gelang Patah, Kelantan, and Selangor. Actually we expected it but we hope to do something and avoid the eventuality.

More on politic later.

Cinami, Calun and Complacency

UMNO to bungkus in GE14?

Still angry, tired and fed-up. Currently out of town and still reluctant to return.

Not because we lost. No ... BN is still in power.

We managed to takeover Kedah, though not as much as we expected, but we still win it. And Mukhriz is new Menteri Besar.

We manage to defend Perak. BN was trailing but towards the end, Bagan Serai seats and Selama came in favourably. In a neck to neck race, never ignore the marginal voters.

But we are pissed with the fact that we failed to takeover Selangor and Kelantan because of our own mistake, power greed, and foolishness.

We lost former Malacca Chief Minister, former Menteri Besar of Johor and few major Parliamentary and the state seats due to weak intel or stubbornness and refusal to hear the ground i.e. intel.

For the same reason, we almost lost Terengganu.

Yes, we win some and we lose some but we did poorer than expected in this general election because of three factors; Chinese Tsunami or we shall call as Cinami, Calun (candidate) problems and UMNO's Complacency.

All will be elaborated once we settled back.

Generally, UMNO's organisation, election machinery and communication plus propaganda machinery are really macamp#kim@k.

During the election campaign, almost everywhere one hear of UMNO divisions beseiged with endless power struggle inside, sabotage, and duit tak turun. Most division heads are more concerned with party election than general election. UMNO have no qualm to ruin their chances of winning the general election.

In most places, there was no genuine leadership and capable people in charge of the election campaign. The so-called millions of UMNO members and campaign paid volunteers are generally headless, hopeless and clueless.

Yes, UMNO members were paid to be volunteers. Much of the time, they were just hanging around Bilek Gerakan to eat and laze around while being paid daily allowance.

If it not for outside help, volunteers, and contributors, Malaysia would have sworn in as Prime Minister yesterday. UMNO was shooting their own feet, practically everywhere.

As for Ghani, he was too timid in his campaign against hard hitting Lim Kit Siang.

There is no issue of going to battle against Lim Kit Siang and his racial sentiment using a friend friend ... tactic.

But, ue truth of that claim. se also Kit Siang's enemy to whack him. He has got issue within DAP. The men is a replica of North Korean dictatorship.

Many Chinese seemed to be cheering for us but are subtly helping DAP by discouraging any hard hitting retaliation against Kit Siang. Everything seemed to result in backfire without even testing it out.

The Cinami was building from day one campaign period with 7,000 attandent at Sutera Mall and some nuthead cancelled the plan to bring Tun Mahathir to Gelang Patah.

It is so typical of Johorean's UMNO psyche of Johor the Great. They did not realised that Johor has the most complacent UMNO machinery in the country.

They had it too easy that they forgot to think properly. The writing was on the wall at the Tenang by-election.

Batu Pahat also fell.

A case of not listening to the ground. Dr Puad Zarkashi should have stick to the advise to run at state level but talk in Batu Pahat is that he used his wife to lobby at Jalan Duta. We'll have to check the truth of that claim.

Puad had problems in Batu Pahat. Members are angry over his transaction land. They say he is helpful but rather sombong and lack warm.

We never received any SMS reply from him ever since he became Deputy Minister including the  offer of help for his campaign. If he does not wish to communicate, we can't give feedback and share information.

Did anyone alert upstairs this attitude of Puad that led to his expected downfall?

After 2008, will UMNO change and wake-up?

As of now, we feel they will not and see no urgency in doing anything fast and drastic. If 2008 did not awaken them, they are not likely to wake in 2013 with so many Melayu Liberal along the corridors of PWTC, Putrajaya and KLCC.

We do not see Dato Najib will change and dare to remove weeds out of the party. UMNO need a new Secretary General. Not a Sec Gen that is too arrogant to listen to advise and oblivious to ground report.

And, also a more effective Executve Secretary.

More urgent, UMNO needs a strategist to fill the role of Ketua Penerangan. It cannot be someone who thinks that holding a thousand of courses, speaking in ceramah and working hard from dusk to dawn is considered a strategy.

The Ketua Penerangan must at least know how to differentiate between tactical or implementation strategy and strategy.

At the rate UMNO is going with their party unclear direction, lackadaisical attitude of leaders and members, and endless internal politics, prepare to bungkus in GE 14.

The new voters profile, more new voters and late political awakening of younger baby boomers will  favour them. Where will they get their new support and energy?

More so with the culture to hold to power and ill intention to frustrate and block capable new talents  into the party, who wants to join UMNO.

Scary? Better be then sorry.

We will be retired by then and will want to worry about after life. Maybe by then, we wouldn't give a duck to all this.

Their only relief is that there will be no Anwar Ibrahim by then ... too old and probably died of AIDS.

Don't blew it this time, Najib

In the last cabinet appointment, we made a posting on an intended staff appointment by a senior member of the cabinet.

While it changed his decision and our concern was genuine and sincere, we faced his personal displeasure for butting-in in an area that is to quote him, "my prerogative."

The cabinet appointment is Prime Minister Dato Najib Tun Abdul Razak's prerogative but we are ready to face his displeasure for butting-in.

If he failed to put in place a proper team with the integrity, credibility, and capability, he will only put Barisan Nasional on the path of the inevitable demise for the 14th General Election .

With Barisan Nasional's performance in the recent 13th General Election is far from satisfactory and did not put the coalition out of the wood, every step counts.

The cabinet appointment is very important in many aspect.

Candidate list

One reason we believed for BN poor acceptance to the middle class Malay in the urban seats was the candidate list. Because of this, one of Najib's cousin personally confided to us to have voted PAS.

There was too few new faces, only 30% and not the 50% that Najib promised. It gave the impression BN or in this case, UMNO did not learn from the Tsunami of 2008.

Even among the 30%, there was a high number of recycling of rejected faces. It was noticeable in Kelantan and Tan Sri Annuar Musa is a case in point.

UMNO management can explain that they have to stick to some kind of party hierarchy at the division level. That is relevant within the party circle but why should voters care?

Najib may have commendably been successful to regain Kedah, retain Perak and thwart off a US covert work to orchestrate a regime change which was supported by European powers and our neighbouring US satellite states.

Notice the on-going attempt to initiate an Arab Spring styled Malaysia Spring coup de tat using pre-planned and fabricated reasons.

Sabotage and poor machinery

However, he failed in leading the retake of Selangor and his men failed to retake Kelantan.

The reasons we see are candidate issue, poor ground machinery, and party disunity. UMNO leaders are prevalent in their attempt to use the candidate list to strengthen certain interests for the UMNO party election.

Internal sabotage was so widespread that the majority of Independents in Semenanjung are disgruntled UMNO members reacting to the candidate list.

It is worsen by state party officials and Najib's own people involving themselves in sabotaging specific candidates.

Sabo Ibrahim Ali
A case in point is Dato Ibrahim Ali at Pasir Mas.

For his nomination, Dato Mustapha Ali refused to put Ibrahim as BN candidate despite assurance given by Najib to Ibrahim. After the involvement of few Tuns and Tan Sri, Ibrahim was back on the candidate list.

But at the last three days campaign, the Kelantan mafia of Anuar Musa, Romzi, PM's political secretary, Dato Fatmi and others pressured To Pa and Hanafi (Pasir Mas UMNO Division head).

Ibrahim and BN was sacrificed for personal power greed.

Why are they acting against the wishes of Najib?

Or is it Najib is not comfortable with Perkasa but does not have the guts and honesty to tell it in the face to Ibrahim?

Najib wants Perkasa's support and energy but he does not want to commit money and candidate to Perkasa personalities.

Advisers

Troublemaker and perpetual loser
Since Fatmi is mentioned, there were too many PM's political secretary running in the general election thus there was concern during the election as to who is assisting Najib.

Including the special officers, there were Shahlan (Pokok Sena), Latt Shariman (Kuala Kedah), Fatmi (Kota Baru), Shafie (Wangsa Maju), Sufian (Kuantan), Norehsanuddin (Kota Tinggi), Irmo (Kuala Selangor), and others; 7 all together.

Problem was they were mostly unwinnable candidates and pathetic campaigner. Some were arrogant and carry an image of a troublemaker.

Preppy to represent Kedah fishermen?
Some are too urban and distanced to be accepted to the locals. Some was overzealous in trying to be a local boy that they annoyed the locals.

Destined to lose but insist on running
Most of them lost for being amateurish, had no humility and undisciplined in their campaign.

No wonder Najib is getting bad political advises.

The advisers are themselves failed politicians and merely flexing their PM's office position to gain position at the division.

It shows that they are not dedicated to help the PM but was feathering their own nest.

Slighted the local voters
Najib should not appoint them anymore. They left the PM in the lurch when they are most needed and have nothing to proof of their ability.

But, PM is not without blame.

It was relayed to us that when PM was going around the state to go over the candidate list, he was enquiring to ensure specific names to be on the list than trying to see the suitability of candidates.

Stubborn

Many candidates that failed police screening got into the list. Thanks to the State Liaison Chief or State Coordinator.

One state liaison chief inserted candidates with corruption and police record in state assembly seats in which he ran for Parliament.

He was advised that it will pull him down but he was stubborn to put his man.

His was a case of a leader who refuse to have anyone cleverer under him. The clever ones can only be Senator.

Don't think we are talking about Melaka only.

There is also Terengganu.

When one is talking of candidate and the resulting effect of rejection from the ground and sabotage, the ultimate power and decision lies with PM.

State liaison chief, state coordinator, component party president, and BN state chairman will all wash their hands and point at the PM.

The pathetic state of party political and campaign machinery should be blame at state and headquarter officials.

There are our friends but we will call a black a black and a white a white.

UMNO should change the Secretary General, Executive Secretary and Information Chief. All were running for seats and no one was running for UMNO during the general election.

The reason is complacency runs deep in UMNO, from top to bottom. UMNO members are generally uneducated and lack knowledge on politics and current affairs.

Our political campaign on the ground lack substance, strategy and determination. Without big names presence, their campaign are aimless.

What happen to the hundreds or if not, a thousand courses conducted and proudly claimed by Ahmad Maslan?

We can't blame Ahmad Maslan.

One should have known better of his limitation when he views working hard and holding courses as a political strategy.

That is hardly a tactical move.

Corruption

If Najib wish to salvage anything out of this mess and reinvigorate UMNO in preparing for the 14th general election, he has to put things right by making the right appointments.

Corruption is the factor that pissed off the saloran 4 and 5 against government. We just can't convince our young cousins so we can see how important it is to them to see more fairplay.

Whether perceived or confirmed by the courts, Najib cannot afford to have Jamaluddin Jarjis, Noh Omar, Khairy Jamaluddin, Reezal Merican, Nazri Aziz and many other tainted ones on the cabinet.

If Jamaluddin Jarjis and Noh Omar is retain, we will immediately do a full expose.

JJ has something funny happening in PRIMA in Johor Baru. Najib should keep his 'smooth operator' role outside of cabinet and government.

That is a long list of issues on Noh Omar including our own personal experiance with his SUSK.

We have his file.

Although we have worked with him on Selangor, the interest of the party and nation must surpass that of personal relation and friendship.

Negative perception on Noh is too overbearing that he would have otherwise been considered `a candidate for Menteri Besar of Selangor.

On issue of corruption, we are committed to clean-up UMNO, opposition and country. No one will be spared - be they friends or foe, allies or enemy.

Not even the PM's wife that we justifiably defended in the past - over frivolous and petty accusation by opposition - will be given exception.

Loyal corrupt
Najib had done the right thing to remove Nor Yakcop. He must continue to do so.

Nor Yakcop maybe loyal to all the Prime Ministers he served and have some knowledge but he is tainted.

Two of his political secretaries were charged in court for corruption or money laundering. Reezal also was formerly working with Nor Yakcop.

We believe he is corrupt.

Why should we not believe when our source is his family member?

Economic growth

Nor Yakcop single handedly wrecked the GLCs and alienate the civil servants.

Najib should stop the practise started by Abdullah to bring in foreign consultants or Putrajaya seat is destined to lose.

Close up Pemandu and Teraju and give back the planning work to EPU and ICU. We did better without the Pemandu jokers.

Najib's neo liberal adviser, Omar Ong is an expensive political cost for him, the party and the nation.

Najib must get more professional, innovative and dedicated people to steer the country's economy back to higher growth. No more template thinking consultants but real economic planner.

Butcher as Economic Planner?
No more Idris Jala, Omar Ong and many others. The KPIs, NKRAs and all those abbreviation are mere numbers.

The quality aspect are lacking.

Economic growth is only genuine when we are making more products and delivering more services to the domestic and abroad. Along the way, we build up local expertise, technological capabilities, management skills, and proprietary knowledge.

The economy is laden with too much financial play. Khazanah is the most guilty of them all.

They are not creating anything of strategic value and even developing product or services. Practically all their new ventures fail.

They takeover companies at exorbitant prices and not at bargain to later add value. An example is the medical groups that was eventually listed away as Apollo.

We smell a lot of rats in Khazanah. Najib must clean up this institution.

Help fortify DAP ....
Gelang Patah has become a DAP stronghold but UEM could proudly announce during the campaign of the sales of land to Kuok Brother.

Lim Kit Siang's centre for campaign is at Sutera Mall, which was developed by Kuok into a little Taiwan.

Clever Khazanah ....

On this matter, property is a financial asset and developing properties is not a serious attempt at developing the economy.

When we can't sell properties, especially high end ones, we ended up selling our homes, office and commercial areas to foreigners. Only the developer and industry get the one off benefit but not the rakyat and nation.

The focus to revive and bring high growth to the economy must be done seriously. Najib cannot afford to be PM and hold the Minister of Finance position with it's voluminous work. He must appoint a full time Finance Minister. .

And the person to hold the position must be capable, honest and dedicated.

Refused advise

Najib spend so much time and resources trying hard to please the Chinese to get the minimum 20-25% Chinese votes.

He was advised to stop being lavish to "buy" the Chinese support. Much earlier, Tun Dr Mahathir had advised to strengthen the Malay support.

But he refused to heed the many advises.

Although he helped quite a bit of Malays, the perception on Najib is that he is more akin to help the Chinese than the Malay.

Najib and his people can dispute that claim but how will he answer when so many qualified Malay students are without scholarship and denied entry into Universities.

The opposition realised this and used this issue to the hilt. We had no reply, other than being defensive, to convince the Saloran 4 and 5.

Entry into educational institution and scholarship is a major component of the Special Bumiputera right in Article 153 of the Federal Constitution.

Najib is a good listener but he refuse to listen to advise. The impression is that he only listens to the neo-liberal Omar Ong, Nazir Razak, Azman Mokhtar and many other lackeys from Tun Abdullah days.

Better not be true
Talk is Nazir Razak will be appointed Finance Minister. Better not be true.

These people are in line with DAP and PKR to dismantle the Constitution and also article 153.

This time it is the 80% Malay vote plus Indian and Pribumi of Sabah and Sarawak that gave back BN the power.

If the perception continue, Najib may not be lucky next time. N is the last alphabet in RAHMAN.

It could mean the end of BN with Najib written in history as last BN Prime Minister if Najib continues to ignore his power base.

He is the PM to all, pro or oppose to Government but he does not have to give special and extraordinary treatment to those that do not support him.

Crime

Many Malays and law enforcement personnel felt that the Government are too lenient to the Chinese law offenders but strict and brutal on our own supporters.

As Tan Sri Ibrahim Abu Shah pointed out last night in a TV talk program, government is too lenient on opposition too.

Papagomo was held for questioning on sedition but out there, opposition leaders are not checked for their total disregard of the law.

They do not respect the law enforcement because they see the Inspector General of Police as a lembik. Yet his retirement was extended for another 2 years and only retiring on May 14th.

Minister in charge only gives out warnings and kept giving excuse of his hands are tied. It only means two things; he is scared of making decisions or he is trying to blame it on Najib.

Although Hishamuddin is useful for his strong political network in UMNO, at the moment, he will not endear Najib with UMNO grassroot.

Crime is one concern or perhaps excuse of the Chinese community to vote opposition. It is no confidence builder to have Hishamuddin remain as KDN Minister.

Get someone firm and not seen as interfering with police work. Again, it is about perception.

Anyway congratulation in due for his good showing in Sembrong.

Emphasis

The Chinese must be represented in Government.

We cannot be punishing the Chinese because MCA President wanted to deny Chinese of any representation in government. The Chinese saved and help to maintain two third majority for BN in 1999 in the midst of reformasi.

Despite the less than 5% Chinese votes for BN, there are pockets of rural Chinese votes for BN and MCA candidates.

More representation and key cabinet positions should be given to Sabah and Sarawak BN representatives.

Reallocate fund for Semenanjung urban development to Sabah and Sarawak rural development. We can do without the planned Financial Center.

Special emphasis must be given to the Information Minister position.

It is ridiculous that the communication team is under the Prime Ministers Department. It shows the Information Minister was incompetent and yet we retained him.

Rumour better not be true
Get someone with strategic thinking. It must not be Ahmad Maslan. Neither must it be as rumored to be Farid Redzuan.

Sure heboh is not the business of communication. Perhaps, it s suitable for  Pak Lah era.

Clean up the Ministry from corrupt bureaucrats and businessmen-politicians. Purge RTM and FINAS.

The cabinet members must have some political sense, especially the ones taken from outside the political circle. Not only they must have political sense but appeal to the new voters.

Khairy, Wee Ka Siong, Rosnah, Razali and Reezal failed in making BN more appealing to the young. They failed to make youth understand government policy but instead wanted government to conform to youth immature and selfish requests.

Last but not least, cabinet appointment must weigh heavily on individual capability and current expertise requirement. If need be, get capable professionals but not a turnaround butcher to do economic planning.

Najib must stop the precedent to appoint cabinet based on state representation or quota formula. It must be need base. He must stress more on appeasing the voters than political warlords.

One way to appease the warlord is to be true to his words. Najib said previously that candidate list will be system generated and he will not interfere.

But it was not.

If Najib wish to appoint cabinet based on capability and competency, he must not appoint those who is only seen as his people. There must not be any inconsistency as happened in the candidate list.

Magnet to controversy
The public's focus will be on Hishamuddin and Shafie Apdal, which are considered as his people but are not publicly seen favourably.

Shafie is seen as incompetent and a magnet to controversies.

Najib allowed his man, Dr Puad Zarkashi to run for Parliament against the advise of many.

See what happenned.

We were told yesterday by some political akarumbi that one wrong move by Najib and the upcoming UMNO general assembly will be a heated one.

Danger

Anwar maybe on the road show to dispute the election results based on some frivolous reasons but he will swear in as MP and opposition leader.

That means he accept the election results.

The danger he pose is his money. He is cash rich with American dollars and can afford to buy BN MPs. He will be active after cabinet appointment.

The offer is in the 8 figures but as in the case of Saiful's father, the amount he will deliver is anybody's guess.

During the general election campaign, Pakatan Rakyat was lavish with money. Party workers were paid RM100 a day and money was flush for the voters in the interiors of Sarawak.

Buying spree

Money was flowing in from outside through the foreign embassies and unhindered by diplomatic immunities. We were told by sources that it came in with the help of diplomats from US, UK, Germany, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, etc..

Most of the money came via Bangkok. That is why Anwar regularly goes there and Eskay was the person who regularly entertained him.

And that is why SUARAM and many other press conferences tend to be in Bangkok.

Yet Sarawak Report kept accusing Taib Mahmud as corrupt and not a single mention of Anwar Ibrahim.

"Sial Pak Lah masih tak hilang", said a Caller

Khairy and a Freemason-like altar in the background
Pak Lah's bad luck has still not dissipated.

That is one quote we wish to share from the many calls we received to comment on UMNO and BN's less than satisfactory general election results.

Since his resignation, we do not wish to dabble in him. He is a fallen leader, thus no need to humiliate him further. We responded to say, "Janganlah begitu. (Don't be like that). The past is the past."

And explained, "Do you know that I sat together with Pak Lah and Pakya Moron to chat before solat jenazah arwah Man Janggut at a Masjid in Taman Melati? And, on several occassions, I approached him in public to shake hand... orang tua. Kesian people ignore him."

The caller responded, "But you did not kiss his hand ..."

"Ooo .. please don't push your luck. I don't simply kiss anyone's hands."

That call came in because of Khairy's remark to offer himself to be in cabinet and blah blah blah ... which is nothing more other than a politician's word that is filled with caveats.

This boy really has no shame.

Inconsistent

Prerogative to appoint cabinet is Najb;s but UMNO will bear the brunt in GE14
Couple of things are not consistent with Khairy's argument for cabinet position.

He said something about getting him appointed will help to gain more inroad with the youth or in political jinggo, Saloran 4 and 5. It only means Khairy failed in his task as full-time Pemuda UMNO Youth Chief to get the support of young and newly registered voters.

While opposition was going for University students and opinion leaders/activist among the youth, BN was going for the apolitical masses through fun carnivals. Most likely, this crowd hardly voted.

The Pro-Aspirasi group may have won many campus elections but as one recently awarded Dato Professor claimed "dia orang bayar."

Without asking him to elaborate and jumping to the conclusion there was vote buying, we can only deduce that students were paid campaigners like Pemuda UMNO out source the work to put up election campaign flag and posters to contractors.

Perkasa existed because Pemuda was meek and became hot-bed of neo liberal
It does not bring out the 'semangat' (spirit) out of the students like how dedicated the Pro-Mahasiswa that they dare to come out in the open to support the opposition.

What does Khairy's membership on the cabinet got to do with improving BN's image and performance with the youth?

Nurul Izzah, Tony Pua, Nik Nazmi, Anthony Loke, Shamsul Iskandar, Rafizi Ramli, and Hannah Yeoh, to name a few, could get youth support without being Ministers.

Furthermore, the youth have got sufficient representative like Dato Rosnah Sharlin (which we feel should be dropped), Dato Dr Wee Ka Siong (MCA Youth Chief), and Dato Fadillah (PBB Youth Chief).

Adding the non-performing and attitude KJ would not make any different. A better solution is for the youth to change it's Youth Chief.

Not too long ago, Khairy offered himself to not run for the 13th general election. How inconsistent can he be?

For that, we wish to remind Dato Najib or those assigned to pick candidates penalised  a former Minister from running in the latest general election for acing "jual mahal" for wanting a cabinet post. The replacement candidate was an incompetent campaigner, yet arrogant and should have 'bungkus.'

Many resident association refused his visit and it was the incumbent's initiative to secure millitary support that save the day. Allah is great because those who conspired against him lost or did badly.

If there are those out there still believe that Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib join PAS because he believe UMNO is a corrupt organisation, we are not going to ridicule naive political commentators.

Mat Taib was sulking. He wanted someone close to him to be considered for the post of Menteri Besar. The person was not even put as candidate.

These are but only two examples of how the party dealt with those who demanded for position in government were dealt with.

Khairy is repeating a demand he made to Dato Najib on many occasions and went to the extend to sabotage the party by crippling the Youth machinery and reduced them to contract campaign workers that work only upon getting prior payment.

Fine ... it could be just another feint move by a politician. In other words, they usually say as testing the market. It is similar to words of Hishamuddin moving to other place to run but finally he stayed put in Sembrong.

No Ketua Pemuda among first Malayan Ministerial Cabinet
Then we ask the point: Where in the UMNO Constitution and tradition says the Ketua Pemuda UMNO has to be a Minister?

In the most recent of times, Dato Suhaimi Kamaruddin and Dato Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi were not cabinet members. Proceed through the Pemuda UMNO and cabinet records, more often Ketua Pemuda UMNO are not cabinet members.

Quite sure there is no Ketua Pemuda UMNO in the first Tunku Abdul Rahman cabinet.

Pak Lah's manouvering

The man us retired but still has plans for his son-in-law
The power to appoint the cabinet members lies with the Prime Minister. It is his prerogative. However, since this is a process of politics, there will be those lobbying for position.

Here is the revolting part.

Before leaving, Dr Mahathir left two unfinished files for Pak Lah to deal with but he still appoint the two as cabinet members. Pak Lah has long resigned, but he doing cabinet lobby to Najib.

There was a time that Pak Lah still wanted to run for MP of Kepala Batas if there is no one. How could we not have replacement to someone, who destroyed UMNO, BN component party, civil service, GLCs, and social fabric of this country?

Khairy's victim
Don't forget that much of the bump rap on Dato Hishamuddin for kissing the kris and later apologising was orchestrated by Khairy and his gang that controlled the Pemuda UMNO exco.

It was Khairy's doing that disunited UMNO in the 12th general election. We were on the ground when Khairy sent his men to sabotage Muhriz's campaign in Jerlun in 2008.

The widespread culture of sabotage in UMNO still persist till today.

There is more on the negative impact of Khairy's presence in UMNO. In 1999 when Malay voted in sympathy for Anwar, it was the Chinese that kept BN to retain it's two third majority.

Partly Malay rejection of Pak Lah and partly Chinese anger resulted in Pak Lah losing from 198 seats to 140 seats. The Chinese anger on the racial display by Khairy has not dissipated.

Yet Khairy and DAP backing Kalimullah are seeking Najib's resignation for losing only 7 more seats.

Pak Lah wanted Reezal as full Minister
Finally, Pak Lah spelled it out that he wanted Dato Reezal Merican to run.

Though the survey and ground reading does not favour Reezal, Najib had to relent to Pak Lah wishes. His men are still everywhere in cabinet, government, GLCs, etc. Many believed Pak Lah has allies in the opposition.

Thank god, Reezal won.

Despite having Pak Lah as incumbent, Reezal had to bring in PM or was it, DPM to campaign in Kepala Batas.

The story has not ended there.

Words are Pak Lah demanded that Khairy be given a position in the cabinet.

Not only that, he proposed a plan to circumvent the criticism against Khairy's appointment. Appoint Khairy as Deputy Minister of say Youth and Sports and Reezal to fill  Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop's vacant position.

His argument for Reezal is that he can defend Khairy in cabinet.

Yeah ... sure. Didn't we say back then that Pak Lah only cares for his family?

And if there is truth that he wanted Reezal for that purpose, then he must be the same simpleton country bumpkin or he thinks we are too stupid to not know that he intend to protect his and Khairy's people still at high positions inside the GLCs that is messing up the country.

Nor Yakcop had two of his political secretary charged for corruption. Reezal was Nor Yakcop's political secretary when he was MoF II.

Peoples' choice
There will be those that will argue and claimed that Dr Mahathir pushed Najib to give the MB post to his son, Dato Mukhriz.

They didn't know that there was a comprehensive survey done by Universiti Utara Malaysia to test all the possible candidates for MB to enable BN to win back Kedah. Mukhriz's name is up there by miles over others.

Just as his political career, Mukhriz's MBship will not be a fairy tales romance.

He has to build up his allies among the 21 ADUNs. Khairy's was instrumental in denying him to run for Kuah state assembly seat and stayed on in Jerlun.

Mukhriz inherited a state with RM1.3 billion debt from PAS's Dato Azizan. He has to rebuild the economy of Kedah from practically ground zero.

One source warned that he better be careful with his moves or he will face problems by his 3rd month If Kelantan is known for cah keting, Kedah's version is far more swift and deadlier.

Not the time yet
To make things more interesting, another of his crony, MP for Kota Belud, Dato Abdul Rahman Dahlan is also lobbying hard for a cabinet position.

Rahman may have won with a huge margin but he shouldn't be too sure of himself. He won because of BN ticket and great strategy of Dato Musa Aman.

It shows because Dato Lajim Ukin lost his parliamentary Beuford seat and Bumburiang lost in Tuaran.

He is not really well received by the local Kota Belud as is seen to spend more time in Kuala Lumpur. His wife, who happen to be our cousin's sister-in-law, cannot adapt to the simple life and folk of Kota Belud.

Prior to general election, he was planning to move to the secure seat of Sepanggar.

Rahman Dahlan is useful as backbencher. His blog is an informative source for pro-UMNO bloggers to rebut the opposition. The truth is he is not the writer but paid someone. He is a credible backbencher because of materials prepared and provided by Khairy.

It means that his ability is limited. Not the time yet.

If he joins cabinet, his loyalty is not to Dato Najib or Sabah and Musa Aman but to Khairy.

Some may argue that there are others who were pro-Khairy during the time of Pak Lah and almost everyone was going with the time. For instance, there are Zahid Hamidi, Shaziman and many more.

There were already their own long before Khairy appeared and flaunt himself arrogantly in the scene.

Don't ever think that Khairy has learned anything about humility, comradeship, and such. The young spoilt Brit brat was only hiding his claws.

On many occasions in his Twitters, it sprung out to expose his vindictiveness. When shaking hands with political friends and foes in UMNO, his body language tells.

Chances are Khairy will likely be appointed.

The propaganda machine can argue and give all sort of reasoning but UMNO will bear the consequences of having a tainted face as it's public figure.

The youth hates corruption because it denied them opportunity in education, work and business. Khairy has yet to answer our 13 questions on ECM Libra-Avenue merger..

Did "too many generals spoil the battle"?

The “war room” from movie “Dr. Strange Love: or How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bomb.”
Or were the generals suitable for today's political warfare?

When Prime Minister, Churchill visited his Cabinet Room in May 1940, he declared: 'This is the room from which I will direct the war'. That cabinet room became known as Churchill's war room and he held 115 Cabinet meetings till 28 March 1945, when the German V-weapon bombing campaign ended. [Read Wikipedia here.]

The American Heritage Dictionary described war room as "a room in which strategic decisions, especially for a military or political campaign, are made." Essentially, a war room is filled with members with specific expertise and authorities, and latest available information to assist strategic and tactical decision making to guide the ground troops.

Barisan Nasional introduced the concept of war room to direct and monitor it's political campaign in the recent general election. One can expect the room is filled with people, computers and information on candidates, contested seats, opposition, campaign message and issues, news, polls, projections, etc. for the generals to work out campaign strategy/ies.

However, did the war room helped make BN's political battle as strategically organised, disciplined and dedicated, and precise like any military campaign?

The Malaysian Insider's Editor, Jahabar Sadiq wrote a report on BN's war room. Off course one can't be too trusting of MI. However, Utusan Malaysia carried a report on this similar issue and Johor blogger, Mael Pengerang here posted something on the war room too.

We like to share and comment on Jahabar's report which to the best of our knowledge, there is some truth, some spinning and was based on some ill informed source. Nevertheless, it is something worth pondering for BN, if their wish to learn something fast out of it:
BN’s reduced wins put spotlight on ‘war room’ strategists

May 14, 2013
The Malaysian Insider

KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 — Questions are being asked about Barisan Nasional’s (BN) “war room” strategists whose plans with a substantial budget did not appear to stop the ruling coalition from losing more federal and state seats in the May 5 general election.

The BN war room was tasked with selecting the candidates and advising various strategies to win the polls. It counts Rompin MP Datuk Seri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis, PWTC chairman Datuk Seri Dr Alies Anor Abdul, Petronas director Omar Mustapha Ong, Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor, party information chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan and former minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusohas among its members.

The war room seem useful as a guide to assist Ahmad Maslan and other party leaders carry out their  work, but one wonders who was the Churchill that provide the leadership and gave strategic direction to the war room.

And, did Ahmad Maslan and the various branches of ground troopers manage to execute their instructions?

A source inside hinted the war room as a hot place to be with too many clashing egos that operationally led to it's ineffectiveness. So did "too many generals spoil the battle"? Or were the generals suitable for today's political warfare?

Read to hear Jahabar's source complained:
“It was just a crapshoot. Their ideas didn’t work and their white list predictions were wrong,” a senior Umno divisional leader told The Malaysian Insider on condition of anonymity.

The war room had stuck to its prediction of BN winning between 145 and 150 federal seats and also getting back Selangor in Election 2013 although some senior BN leaders were privately doubtful of the figures.

And by noon on Polling Day, the war room had issued its “white list” of 118 federal seats it was sure to win, but some like Pasir Mas, Shah Alam and Lembah Pantai were lost, which some Umno divisional leaders said reflected the disconnect between the leadership and the ground.
Opps .. that 118 white list.

This subsequent part of the report could not be confirmed but it smells some spinning to fill up MI's political agenda for the opposition offensive psywar.  We grey out the following comment on Dato Zulkifli Nordin.

Poster boy of Umno’s insensitivities

The Malaysian Insider also learnt that Jamaluddin was behind BN putting Perkasa vice-president Datuk Zulkifli Noordin as their direct Shah Alam candidate despite his controversial remarks that offended Indians about their Hindu faith.

It was understood that Jamaluddin felt that Zulkifli’s candidacy would not be too much trouble as the latter had already apologised to the Indians for his remarks which he claimed were made when in PAS.

But sources said the strategist did not consider that Zulkifli would become the poster boy of Umno’s disregard for sensitivities of non-Malays.

“The most galling thing is they put Shah Alam on the white list because they thought the Malay majority there would support Zulkifli. How wrong they were,” said an Umno source, commenting on the strategy that backfired.

On the contrary, Jahabar.

In our opinion, BN's machinery could not match the well oiled PAS's Shah Alam machinery already with the head start for Zulkifli to fight. While a large portion of PAS members, supporters and sympathisers are not keen to the liberal ways of Khalid Samad, they are reminded of Zulkifli's excessiveness in his days with PAS.  It is compounded further by the insufficient time for Zulkifli to shed the misperception of a political frog changing partisanship for political convenience.

Back to further comment on the war room:
“There are conservatives with a big ‘C’ and there are conservatives with a small ‘c’. The strategists just did a desktop analysis but did not figure that there are new voters apart from substantial number of Chinese and Indians there,” he added.

He explained that the desktop analysis done by the war room contributed to the belief that BN would do well and even get back its two-thirds parliamentary majority in Election 2008.

“You can’t assume that a Malay majority seat will go back to you or think that you can share the Chinese and Indian votes and later predict you win big nationally and Putrajaya,” said the source.
The subsequent part of the report is something new.
Outsourced strategies
Another Umno source noted that BN had also outsourced some of the strategy to public relations and branding experts such as APCO’s Paul Stadlen and TV3’s Datuk Seri Ahmad Farid Ridzuan but it appeared to no avail.

Stadlen has been Putrajaya’s main contact with the international media while Farid had been seconded from TV3 parent, Media Prima Bhd, to the Prime Minister’s Department for the past few years.

“They were spending money on local newspapers with shrinking circulation and TV stations that did not appeal to the young. What a waste of time and money,” he said.

It has been estimated that BN had spent more than RM100 million directly and indirectly for the massive media campaign that encompassed print, television, billboards and online sites for Election 2013.
.. in world of Hypermarket
The source, who had been involved in election campaigns since 1999, said the war room had experienced people such as Idris, Tengku Adnan and Jamaluddin but they were incapable of fighting the new media or adapt strategies to attract votes from the younger generation.

“The mainstream media had blacked out the opposition but in the social media, whatever bad we or the mainstream media did, it was amplified online and made people hate us further. As it is, they don’t even read or watch what we do,” he added.
We also held the view that the communication strategy was too MSM-centric and lack understanding of operation and proprietary knowledge on blog and social media.

One source told us that there is a study done and it mentioned that the most effective political campaign instrument are ceramah and pamphlets "distribution game." Both are areas BN are not strong.

It didn't reach

Furthermore, there was no clear psy-war gameplan. If there had been any relayed to the bloggers, it was not a psy-war gameplan but ad-hoc reaction. By right, in areas or segments where BN can't think of a strategy or gameplan, they should emulate the opposition and do it better. Pakatan has the brain reserve from abroad to strategise for them.

And as raised in our previous posting, the party election machinery was generally complacent and not functioning. For many years, the party bosses was made aware of the incompetence of Ahmad Maslan but for whatever reason/(s), they refused to heed and take the drastic action. Information Chef is supposed to a strategise and not be a rubber taapper. One source raised:
Election machinery meltdown
Hardworking but wasn't thinking far
Other BN sources also pointed out that the coalition’s machinery did not appear to work as well as expected, in a repeat of what happened in Election 2008, against Pakatan Rakyat’s (PR) machinery that comprised grassroots members and youths.

“Ahmad Maslan proudly said there will be 66,600 ceramahs but where? It was so hard to even organise one because there were no speakers of national stature or from other component parties,” said a winning BN candidate who declined to be named.

“I had to do everything on my own and get people to speak in the one main ceramah I had,” he said, adding

“I saw others who were just talking to their election machinery.”

Despite the lack of help, the BN man said he did better than Senator Raja Datuk Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, who lost in Lembah Pantai despite devoting his Federal Territory Ministry resources on the city constituency.

“Raja Nong Chik was a minister and he had focused City Hall’s efforts on Lembah Pantai but yet failed to win. The war room thought he would so they white listed that place but you can see how fallible they are,” he added.

Part of the reason for Raja Nong Chik's lost was that the war room failed to realised the implication of an expose by a Unit Media Baru blog member from Penang of an alleged sexual indiscretion by Nurul Izzah.

The public was ready to express their disgust with personal attacks after the Stopa Spender episode. Nurul was sharp to sense it and capitalised the opportunity with her female tears. The report on Nurul is not right, so we greyed it.
Last-minute tactics switch
The BN sources agreed that the war room strategists had made assumptions without checking with local divisional officers and ground reports.

“There was so much raw data coming in but not much analysis as everyone kept to themselves for fear of leakage,” said one source.

“They also changed tactics without considering what had been done in the past few years on the ground,” he added, pointing out the last-minute switch for four-term Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman was one such mistake.

He said that the presumed MCA candidate Jason Teoh had done some ground over the past two years in Gelang Patah “but the war room panicked like MCA just because Lim Kit Siang was contesting there”.

“So, they thought Ghani can do the job but it was a massive loss as he doesn’t know the area well although his office is there. Perhaps Teoh could have done better as all he had to do was win over the Chinese voters,” said the source.
He added Lim’s presence with other top DAP leaders also cut BN’s popular votes and losses in the Umno bastion state.
“The machinery got frightened of Lim and just gave up,” he added.
Sorry Jahabar ... the report on Ghani is also not quiet right.

We disagree. Your source is probably ill-informed. Naughty of you still trying to head-on the Malays and Chinese. The comment is not worth highlighting. It is left greyed.

The same ill-informed source continues:
The source said this was repeated in other states where DAP had made a big push, such as Negri Sembilan and Selangor but the war room strategists did not react as they were just focused on winning more federal seats.

“There was just this huge disconnect. And that was reflected in the expected results and what we finally got,” he added.
Each state had it's own war room to focus on the state's own campaign.

Too many cowboy lunatic pilot

So it is not quite right. However, we will give the opinion due respect but for now, we are sticking with our view that BN poor performance was a case of Cinami, Calun and Complacency.

Bigdog has his own view of systematic failure in the system here. For other problems with war room operation that they can relate to from this article here.

Our next posting will be on UMNO's attitude and foolishness in facing up to a general election that is an important crossroad in the party's history.

It is inconceivable such attitude could still persist in facing a Pakatan Rakyat that is organised, sophisticated and formidable by virtue of the foreign backing for a 'regime change'.

The Generals failed

We are trained in the classical strategic management and we aced it during our MBA. After strategy are formulated, the choice of General or CEO is an important step in implementing strategy.

For the important and strategic war room operation, it looks like the problem may have been at BN's strategy formulation process. In this political war, it was the generals who formulated the strategy.

Is this what the Chinese want?

$

On May 7th post GE-13, Utusan Malaysia journalist, Zulkiflee Abu Bakar wrote a piece in response to the May 6th silent walk. The direct but simple and innocent question he posed was "Apa lagi Cina mahu?" [read it here].

DAP won 38 seats out of the 51 seats contested in Parliament. PKR and PAS managed to salvage some seat out of some split in the Malay votes, particularly from the urban and youth voters (save for Kelantan), and courtesy of Chinese votes.

It is the best performance by DAP and Chinese voters basically gave political dominance to DAP in Pakatan Rakyat.

Zulkiflee felt the Chinese want more power. Despite the concession given by Dato Najib, which is brewing a backlash from Malay educationist, economic practitioners, and community at large, Chinese refused to give BN even the minimal of votes. His view may have it's own merit.

Some bloggers felt the Chinese had betrayed by being deceptive during campaign. They are retaliating with a call to Buy Chinese Last campaign. Those aware of the reverse discrimination on the common Malays employee and businesses maybe taken to act in such adversarial manner.

Definitely, this not the way to build a nation. But, is this what the Chinese want and willing to risk?

Taste of power

There are fringe Malays with Pakatan trying to appease the Chinese by denying the existence of a Cinami. But, who are they kidding?
Helen Ang had written few postings to conform it's existence. [Read here.]

Many, including our circle of Chinese friends, believed certain quarter in the Chinese community tasted the "blood of power" in Pulau Pinang, Perak before the crossover, and previous DAP-dominated Selangor, thus now they want more.

There is even a saying that while DAP has been pretending to be modest about power to admit Malay as majority and impractical for Chinese to lead, their plans is not so. They have been wanting for a local election for years to dominate the towns, cities and urban centres.

One late former Semangat 46 activist told us that Lim Guan Eng shared his modest request to see constituency borders done in accordance to number of voters and not consider the area size. Wouldn't that bring about power shift to the urban and particularly Chinese voters?

Modest ke tu?

With that as a backdrop, the simple poser, "What more do the Chinese want?" by Zulkiflee, which Azran of Air Asia-X failed to understand but shot his gun to fast, is legitimate.

No, Tan Sri Rafidah.

It is not a personal view, when he had his red cap on his bald head to openly threaten that Air Asia X will not advertise with  Utusan.

Coincidently, several incidents of technical trouble, and arrogance in Vietnam and Mekah occurred but CEO Aireen Omar's lied in her response to the Vietnam incident. Now there is a viral campaign to boycott Air Asia.

We are only too happy to lend a hand.

Demands or Deception?

Back to the question, Zulkiflee is asking what more do the Chinese honestly want in order to appease them and for BN get back the votes?

If nothing can appease them because they want power, say so.

That way Dato Najib do not have to try too hard to appease them and only do the needful. It is politically more rewarding to give extra attention to hardcore supporters who will deliver the votes. No risk of political backlash to face.

One view here by a corporate man claimed the Chinese lost faith or trust with the country’s broken socio-economic system but his solution is only economics - "fair and open competition with due regard given to need and merit irrespective of race."

Can there be fair and open competition with presence of economic dominance?

Melaka-based blogger, Jiwa Paradox posted about a letter claimed to have been sent to the Prime Minister listing 13 demands, in which it generally asked the government to leave them alone and allow for laisse fairre economic, political and administrative system i.e. no system.

Since the language and manner the letter is written is too casual and not thought through, it creates doubt on the authenticity of the letter. However, the letter has gone viral on Facebook. [Read it here].

If power is not what they want, are those demands the essence of what the Chinese wanted and punished MCA and Gerakan brutally for?

In the last general election, many campaigners felt something strange to the over-receptive Chinese to their visits and campaigns. It turns out to be a deception and a covert campaign ala CPM. By the way, that remark came from an ex-DAP leader.

Generally, the Malays (to qualify, majority Malay BN voters) felt cheated and see it as a dishonest act. They see it as a betrayal when even MCA and Gerakan members did not vote for BN candidates. The government bent backward to meet their demands and yet they made a covert consensus to reject.

Why demand in the first place?

Boycott

This has got some bloggers riled up to initiate a boycott towards DAP Chinese supporters.

Since Malay consumers will not be able to distinguish between DAP and MCA supporters and simplistic generalisation will lead to assume all Chinese are DAP supporters, the campaign will mean a boycott of Chinese retailers.

It is not the rational things to do but a boycott of Chinese retailers in favour of Malay, Muslim, Indian and Pribumi retailers may have it's appeal.

It can be expressed and justified as self help.

Several corporate leaders have expressed concern. Most vocal is the Yeah Kim Leng of the Malay and Chinese Chambers of Commerce representatives. Tan Sri Zeti, ex MIER Anwarista Prof Arif,  and few others also expressed their concern.

Like what Rafidah responded in defense of Azran, Dato Hasan Malek the new Minister for Domestic Trade said he can't stop an NGO, which is Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia (PPIM), from taking such stand.

Tan Sri Zainuddin Maidin unveiled the motive behind Yeah's response here but the reply by another Melaka based blogger, Azeeza Abdullah here is more provocative:
... Yeah urges Putrajaya to intervene in order to stop the boycott.

I am sure that Yeah is well aware that the Malays have been putting up with the racist game played by Chinese newspapers and the ‘over-reacting’ of the Chinese on racial issues for so long, hoping that the Chinese would one day appreciate their tolerance.

However, the Chinese took the tolerance as an ego-booster. The arrogance that the Chinese once displayed during the 13th May tragedy was again displayed throughout the GE-13 campaigns.

The truth is, the majority is sick over the ‘hypocritical-sensitivity’ of the Chinese. Every time they are reminded of the social contract, they would retaliate by shouting ‘racist’!
Every time they are questioned of their nationalism and patriotism, they would bark ‘racist’!
And when Utusan Malaysia asked them about what more do they want, which is an innocent, direct, simple question, the paper is condemned as ‘ultra-racist’!

On the other hand, the Chinese newspapers and politicians keep playing the racist card real hard that it comes to the point where the Chinese community failed to differentiate between ‘hate Malays and hate Malaysia’.

And today we see their kids took pictures holding the Malaysia flag upside down - and proud of it.

After the GE-13, these racist Chinese extremists finally meet their par. Many Malay teachers and students in Chinese schools started speaking out of their experience in encountering racism in their schools.

And many more started to question the role the Chinese newspapers have been playing all along in inciting prejudice, doubts and hatred towards the Malay-led government. ...
Tic for Tac

Azzeza felt Malays have issues to react to that betrayal.

Pakatan have anticipated the reaction and taken the opportunity to claim the high moral ground on racism. As though it is all Malays or UMNO ...
.... The Malay politicians too, are fed-up the Chinese hypocrisy.
It’s now time to lay the racist card for everybody to see. As I have always said to my friends, when you deal with a racist, you have no choice but to be a racist or you will be oppressed. And the Chinese has always been wanting to do that to others – ‘oppress’.
The Malays have had enough of the Chinese chauvinism and arrogance, and so they say: “If you want to play racism, let’s play it”.

One might think that this is how the ‘racial boycott’ started.

In actual fact, it has started long ago when the Chinese slyly attacked and sabotaged all bumi products.
One example, when a Malay tycoon bought over Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn Bhd a few years ago over the worries of ‘halal’ status of the flour supply which has all the while being a Chinese tycoon monopoly, the Chinese community waited no time to launch a boycott over all Gardenia products.

Their excuse? It’s an UMNO-crony’s company.

This is a typical racist way of thinking; that it is okay for the Chinese to practice monopoly but it is never okay for a Malay to break the monopoly and provide a healthy competition because that would be cronysm.
Unless, the competitor is a Chinese too, then it should be okay.
As Yeah put it, it’s ‘unhealthy, childish and racist’ for the Malay to boycott Chinese products but it is ‘consumers’ rights’ for the Chinese to boycott Malay products.
It is also a well-known secret of how the Chinese play their racist cards in hiring people in the private sectors, that is by stating ‘mandarin’ as a requirement in the job advertisements.
Up north, the racist card is often played out in the open where Chinese-owned organizations would not give an equal chance for the Malays to ‘grow’ in the company.
Some even blatantly impose a double-standard salary scheme for different races under an ‘unwritten company procedure’ - of course.

Market Control

She reminded him that Malays may not be in control of the economy but a retail boycott will surely hurt retailers.

Malays control the market since the Malay is the majority of the population, have consumerist tendency and with them lies the retail buying power.

If the Malays, Muslims, Indian and Pribumi, irrespective of political tendency, have tasted such reverse discrimination and monopolistic racism, they could silently support it.
And all the while, the Chinese is as arrogant as ever, telling the others that there is nothing they can do as the Chinese controls the economy.

May be it’s true that there is nothing others can do and that this boycott Chinese products will not get the Malays anywhere.

And so, if it’s true, we believe that there is no need for Yeah Kim Leng to be worried. Never mind the country’s economy, as the Chinese will not be affected. After all, it’s the Chinese that he is so concerned about, isn’t he?

The Chinese has stated that they don’t need others, so others have to ‘learn’ to live without the Chinese. And the learning starts now, through ‘boycott Chinese products’.

Please remember too - The Malays are the buying power and you ask for it, Chinese!

If this kind of tic for tac action and reaction continues, everyone will lose.

Careful when you deceive someone, Newton's third physical law on motion could apply to human:
Every action will have an equal and opposite reaction.

Surely this is no way for both parties to behave in building a nation.

Leadership needed

Don't ask us cause we are just a "budak blogger".

We are not a YB, we are not a Menteri and last of all, we are not a PM. Just belting out over some simpletons who believe only YBs, Menteris, and PMs can think and talk out loud. For us the common folks, just be absolutely loyal and bestow our the trust to them.

More over, the pervading UMNO culture impose on the ground and the ground expects on others is such that:
We can't give critical question, we can't think ahead, we can't suggest anything, we can't express reservation, we can't question appointment (even the bad ones), and we must always remain trustful.
Any little voice of concern or demand for drastic action will be deemed as a voice of decent and subtle manouvre to bring down Najib. Some myopic will even suspect a harmless get-to-gather over tea as a conspiracy.

Subtle suppression will not change the fact that a leader must gain the trust of his or her subject. When there is a lost of trust, they must gentlemenly withdraw. A great leader will withdraw when they know they cannot handle problems and there are others more capable.

Currently, we cannot afford a power struggle. It is disruptive on many aspect of life and our future well being. So everyone must be honest to themselves and other to get their priorities right.

Our hope is that our leaders are enlightened and guided by Allah to do the right thing. Hopefully they are honest, sincere and listen well because many problems now require drastic actions and not mere lip service, sloganeering and opportunisism.
